  • Recurrence is the worst fear of nearly every cancer survivor I know. That fear has come true for us. Julie's cancer has returned. In this video, she shares openly what is happening, where we are going, and how you can find inspiration in her story.

    Your video popped up as a recommendation. It's strange how the universe works. I have been battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer since August 2015. I go tomorrow for a PET scan to see if is still "behaving". I too since this diagnosis treasure each day, the love of those around me and the wondrous world we live in. Even though Death may be riding on my shoulder I intend to make the most of the ride! Thoughts, hugs, and prayers for your journey. Stay positive and be in peace! Thank you for your wonderful words as I prepare for my test tomorrow!

    I'm in your shoes, or perhaps you are in mine. It started with stage 4 kidney cancer, my right kidney was removed. 3 years later it came back on both adrenal glands, again stage 4 from the start. June 2023 will be 3 years of fighting adrenal cancer, last PET & MRI showed no active cancer, I've beaten stage 4 for the 2nd time. Hang in there, reoccurrence IS NOT a death sentence.
    (but it is the best weight loss program, EVER! Ha!) Above all else, take care of you!!

    I've never seen your channel before, but somehow it popped up as a suggestion.
    I have stage 3 breast cancer, currently undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
    What has brought me some peace in these scary times is a quote from the Swedish author Per Olov Enquist: "One day we shall all die..... but all the other days - we shall live", and as you I find joy in the important things, the small things and things close to home. Baking a cake, planting seeds, seeing the seasons change, spending time with loved ones.
    I'm so sorry this happened to you.... again, yet here we are at a moment in time where with the newest and best immune therapies, life can still be very long even at stage 4, so I wholeheartedly hope that your days will be filled with the best quality life for many many years to come ❤
    Will be thinking about you. Warm thoughts from Scandinavia.

      Hey there! I’m so very glad our paths crossed💚 and I am also sorry that you are having to walk the path of cancer as well. Yet as you so beautifully but it, we still get the treasure of being alive in this moment. I really appreciate the quote too. My grandfather was a first generation American, and I still have family that lives in Sweden. Though they use the Scandinavian version of our name, Stenfeld💚 Looking forward to rooting for your wellness!

    You are in the most wonderful position as a homesteader to understand and watch and see that after the waning life in fall, , death in winter, spring's renewal ALWAYS follows. Who can stop your Spring from coming? It will come, you will see! Think on this as you cultivate and care for and watch your gardens grow.

    I’ve just found your channel today and followed you. I’ve had health issues this year, and while no where as terrifying as cancer (though we initially thought it was cancer), it brought the necessity of a complete life and diet change. Those changes were terribly difficult. Today, I am grateful for them. So hard to imagine that God can and does use such things to bless us sometimes. I am praying this for you as well; that you will see how He intends this for blessings in your life. I also pray for your health to be restored. 🥰

    It's not fun having cancer. You must have positive outlets in your life. Do fun things. Don't focus on your cancer. Focus on the love of your family and friends around you. Focus on your "higher power". Focus on all the good things you have in your life. Have fun, do activities - like you are doing - blogging, doing homesteading, spreading the word regarding cancer. Take care "friend" I can feel your pain, I see the pain on your face. I know that "pain". I too am a "cancer survivor" (periods of remission and reoccurence do a number on your mind--but I cannot focus on the negative) I must surrender to the positive, taking it one day at a time!

      I am so sorry that you also know what it’s like to be on this path. Part of why I share so openly is to help others who haven’t figured out yet how to thrive beyond diagnosis. One of the toughest lessons for me has been learning how to ‘feel’ my feelings. That’s not my favorite but it’s made my life much richer. Wishing you many years of health and wellness!

    • @patsyhay9592

      Easy to say when your not the one going through it. It’s completely fine to break down and feel hopeless it’s actually not talked about enough with cancer patients as they are just told to be strong and that they will be ok but that’s not a reality of cancer!

    • @CG-mx2wu
      @CG-mx2wu Год назад

      @@patsyhay9592 Yes I agree with you. We have to remain positive through all the hell we are going through. No one can predict the future. We have to be realistic that "bad things" happen to "good people" That's just the mystery of life.
