The rock where the reporter says she slipped is below that pool. But, that seems inaccurate. There is a picture of Alexey in what looks like the outflow area from that pool, if we are to believe that picture. It is very confusing where exactly and what happened. Extremely poor reporting, considering there were witnesses.
@Kenzie Jean just stop being feminist for once also at this point as someone who technically ppl call female I’m non binary and I say u both suck u all are bad sports and get used to it cause it’s what u are that’s how I look at this sad world
Feminism has no desire to reverse the fact that men are still clinging to the old social conditioning of being womens protectors and saviors. Why wouldn't you want all the old benefits of your own gender, as well as all the benefits of your opposite?
3 people slipped and died here so let me bring a camera crew up here and put them all in danger to show you. You could have just explained it from the parking lot!
I had a moment with my boyfriend when we visited Devil's Churn on the Oregan coast. It's the same type of thing where you're allowed to go down and view at your own discretion. He kept on wanting to get closer and closer to the edge as the waves kept crashing up onto the cliffs. I started to panic and was screaming at him but he felt like he was in no danger whatsoever and still feels that way. What I remember is us both constantly slipping on rocks before we were even close to a cliff. He was the one getting close to the edge, btw....I was the one standing and screaming at him to come back. I imagined something like this happening.
Okay, so, the news people just showed everyone how to get up there and showed how pretty it was and then go and say they're concerned these 3 young people's deaths will potentially cause more people to go there and get hurt? You just did a tutorial how to get up there!!! Wtf. 24 hour news is really dark
People are going to do dangerous stuff like this regardless. People go rock climbing, spelunking, sky diving, bungee jumping, they ride motorcycles and race cars competitively, and they go on steep hikes. This is a designated hiking rout with hand rails and precautions for your safety, it’s perfectly legal. The news people were just trying to warn you of the dangers and show how careful you need to be.
If it was actually that dangerous there isn't a hope in hell the reporter or camera crew would go or be allowed up there. Yes there is a danger, but no they did not push their luck, it was a tragic accident where the girl fell into the pool, her boyfriend immediately jumped in after her and his best friend followed, unfortunately they were all swept over the falls. Pointless comments like Steve Hernandez are unnecessary and a desperate attempt at a few likes.
TheOfficialBOV, yes, who ever saw a reporter out in a hurricane, or reporting from war zone? Who's ever heard off a reporter dying covering a story? Oh, yeah, there have been thousands, haven't there?
Like I said it's not as dangerous as they are making it out to be, Steve Hernandez is most likely someone still mad they went off the trail in yellowstone national park leaving his pathetic comment. Going up a hiking trail that is actually in place with ropes etc is not "pushing your luck". This was a tragic event where the two tried to save the girl they were with, which is heroic if you ask me. Everyone is up in arms trying to get their two cents in because they were vloggers who built a company around doing what they love. They probably did more and saw more than all of you can dream about. Its pathetic when people take to the internet during a tragedy just to knock what they were doing. FYI I have been up that trail it is as dangerous as any other hiking trail, accidents happen. Also FYI journalists who report in the hurricanes and the ones who report in wars arn't the local 5 o clock news team lol
2:21 is so true. I guarantee there's already plenty of thrill seekers, adrenaline junkies etc. flocking to this spot. And many think they're better or smarter than those who died... and will take the exact same risks. Worse, many will undoubtedly film their bravery/stupidity. And the cycle will continue.
They lost their lives, their families and friends are in pain, more inexperienced hikers will attempt to climb it due to publicity, probably more fatalities, all this to have a good photo on Instagram. It doesn’t make sense to me.

It often doesnt look dangerous or complicated to thrillseekers, but most of the time it is those simple looking places that ends their stories.... I've seen a similar situation in another country just a few days ago .. Two thrillseekers attempted to get close (away from the track) to a waterfall (similar to Shannon falls). Those got stuck and had to get picked up by helicopter. The force of the stream stream constantly varies and the waterspray follows the wind changes...so you could enter by a dry path that in seconds are foamy and slippery just by a change of wind. Approaching waterfalls like that is just plain stupidity.
@Mike McGlock --- yeah, I agree 100%. Still, this has got me thinking about some of the alpine/ice climbers I follow on social media, wondering if they are part of the stupidity. RIP High On Life Members 🪦 🕊️ On July 3rd 2 members of the channel “high on life” and one friend, the friend fell in the high current water and the 2 members slipped trying to help her and fell 100 feet 🪦In that date the water fall claimed the life of Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh and Megan! 3 amazing people in society.
"Life isn't about responsibilities, tough decisions and hard work, it's about feeling bliss and living in the moment." Really? Hogwash. How about: Wake up. Every day. Go to work. Pay your bills. Be there for your family. Contribute to society. Those are the real heroes. I'm not saying do something you hate every day. Do something you like at least a little (or sometimes). I am lucky I guess because I love my job.
After see this video, i think its better if visitor of this waterfall especially vloggers who like to act on camera near the cliff or waterfall, they give an accesorry which have GPS on that. So if someone fall, hope they will easier to find the victim
CBC News, please remove this video. You are exposing the location of a very dangerous area and are promoting more people to hike here. This trail is not big enough for heavy traffic and not to mention the dangers of the falls.
Natalie Teteris ... aside from your concern this video should have comments disabled, 99.9% of the comments have been unnecessarily very harsh, even savage.
The 3 "VICTIMS"? 🙄 Clearly that water had it out for them! Sad that we live in a world where we cant trust a cute innocent raging waterfall with our lives! Who wud have thought that H2O was so viciously homicidal.. not I 😮
All of heaven's love and comfort to all who knew and loved them, and who will deeply mourn their loss. I loved their zest for life, and admired their spirit of adventure...they were 3 very beautiful kids.

The biggest joke is that people take risks like this for Instagram "stardom".
Joe that’s not exactly what happened. They went up there and one girl she fell and the two other guys tried to grab her causing them to slip
cxrter Yup..dumbases dieing is funny
If the pool at 1:30 is where the incident happened, it would have been truly suicidal to have jumped over the ledge to try to rescue Megan Scraper.

When your full of yourself
The Grinch ..yep it was a real high for them..until Mother Nature walked in
You're*
0:33 Mounting the rope to a dead tree. Very professional.
Did any of the 3 member even Go Pro it, because that's a long way down.
Fred Thomas They loved their jobs as well? What is wrong with that?
After see this video, i think its better if visitor of this waterfall especially vloggers who like to act on camera near the cliff or waterfall, they give an accesorry which have GPS on that. So if someone fall, hope they will easier to find the victim
A CBC video where people can comment?! Everyone at their censorship dept. must be on vacation.
"This water is intense"
What on earth does that mean?
The force. I dont understand your question. Its a steep waterfall.
Bali waterfalls are safe to visit #wonderful indonesia
How did they all three slipped? Was there an unexpected wave?

Doin too much for the gram

RIP
I wonder how they died? From impact or drowning 🤔
esils definitely impact. Shannon falls isn’t very deep.
Why is this news?!
Three Darwin award winners.
Don’t be shocked when those who live on the edge get sliced.
Don't the name give enough of a warning?
Shannon fell..and now more have died
CBC News, please remove this video. You are exposing the location of a very dangerous area and are promoting more people to hike here. This trail is not big enough for heavy traffic and not to mention the dangers of the falls.
Natalie Teteris ... aside from your concern this video should have comments disabled, 99.9% of the comments have been unnecessarily very harsh, even savage.
I'm going up there first chance I get. The pool looks beautiful.
People have died. Why walk the same path?
Ummmm no thanks
Three "Victims" ?
The 3 "VICTIMS"? 🙄 Clearly that water had it out for them! Sad that we live in a world where we cant trust a cute innocent raging waterfall with our lives! Who wud have thought that H2O was so viciously homicidal.. not I 😮
All of heaven's love and comfort to all who knew and loved them, and who will deeply mourn their loss. I loved their zest for life, and admired their spirit of adventure...they were 3 very beautiful kids.
manic hairdo prob true..but made very bad choices in the end..parents friends must be devastated
Kricket Girl ... who among us hasnt made bad choices?
