Oh my goodness, that reed vase is absolutely gorgeous, fits my style perfectly. I have to make that... ordering the reed right away!!!! Thank you so much
Your vessel is a lot better and more beautiful than the other one from anthropology!!! Actually i love all your diy but that antique looking vessel is gorgeous!!!
Simply brilliant! I was trying to come up with a cotton ball technique with dipping or submerging a broad loom knit. I need to quit the mental planning gymnastics and just wait until Valerie get's it done. It's a SPICED KNITTED VASE!!! 🥰 PS. "You want sprinkles on that?" (the use of paprika in an off label fashion, ah, brilliant again).
I just stumbled across your post, and thought this vase isn't really my taste, but bravo to you!! This turned out excellent!! I'm going to subscribe now!
Absolutely enjoyed this diy, exactly what i was thinking to make, love your channel because you are like me, love upcycle things that you don't use anymore, ciao from Italy🥰
Hi Elena! You're exactly right! It's amazing the beautiful pieces of home decor you can create with things that you're not using anymore. How awesome... would love to see Italy one day! Take care friend!💕
Try gluing the mesh or even chicken wire to the vase first, it gives the cement something to cling to. Since it will be visible from the inside you could use chalk paint or spray paint to put a cream layer on. Cement does tend to contract slightly so a loose layer should be fine if there is a little shrinkage. I loved it. I thought it looked identical and the hairiness would have been present in the original since it was a woven fiber. 👏👏
Very interesting. I actually just bought 3 of the same canisters but I’m using them in the kitchen. I got tired of plastic! Lol we always have mortar or quikset in the garage. Going to try your hypertufa pot first!
@@ValerieAguiar I was at Holly Lobby today and saw 2 sizes of pots, cylindrical and heavy, that would be perfect for your hypertufa pots. Small one was $17. 😘👍🏼
The anthropology flower pot with the balls all over it looks like a pot with a rafati rug or some kind of macrama on it , if you zoom in you can see the pattern , my mom crocheted rag rugs that pot reminds me a lot of those rugs
You could try, the difference with mortar is the adhesive ability. Mortar sticks really well (usually used to set tile) cement doesn’t have the same adhesion that mortar does...
I made the reed vase today, it turned out very nice thanks to your instructions! Can anyone recommend a good cordless hot glue gun? The glue gun and I did not get along😂
I'm so glad you tried it, Brenda! I can completely relate to the glue gun problem. I burned my finger on my little cheapy Ace glue gun while making a costume for my son's Read Across America Day 😂. It was a really bad burn on my finger.. 🤦 I need to invest in a good glue gun too! I was looking at some reviews on Amazon. Here are a couple of my picks, hope this helps! Have a beautiful weekend Brenda! amzn.to/3dpfp8H amzn.to/3drFJPv
In the Anthro looking vase, those are olive branches. The Grid vase is some branches that were blossoming in our backyard, I have no idea what type of tree they are 😩
The first vase looks like something you can buy from studio McGee, it’s beautiful! The second vase is so ugly on the Anthro site, it your version is waaay better!
Good job, but I can't for the life of me see why anyone would want one of those vases with the balls on it. The first one is lovely. I guess it is all in your taste. Bute good dupe for sure.
This vase with balls hanging haphazardly is awful I understand you are not the originator of this design but ugh So many beautiful pieces to dup - not that one
This woman deserves so much more credit! Amazing work! Keep it up!

So beautiful.. I am always looking forward to your video uploads.. learnt alot..
Aw I’m so thankful! Glad you enjoy them! 😊
I love this! Did you hot glue the whole length of the vertical rattan strips, or just the ends?
I just stumbled across your post, and thought this vase isn't really my taste, but bravo to you!! This turned out excellent!! I'm going to subscribe now!
Hi Jena! I've heard that from a few people! No problem at all... we've all got our own style and taste!! Thanks for the comment, friend! 💕

Awesome DIYs. I’ve been wanting to make the dotted vase but was trying to figure out how I’d do it with rope but this is way better.
I bought some extra rope/string to get that look on mine but I ended up not using it, I love that detail but it’s tough to replicate! 😩
Great knock off ....even though l am not a fan of this pot...!

Oh interesting!! That's a great texture to look into! Thank you for the tip! 😉
I actually like the “hairyness” of the cement and wouldn’t sand any of it off.
You are so clever, I love it! I’ve been learning so many helpful tricks from you - you really do a phenomenal job!!! 🤗💗🤗
Aw! That means so much Sarah 💕 I appreciate you taking the time to watch! We're so happy you subscribed!

I love these!!! Where did you get your candle? Did you make it?
I did make it! ☺️
Beautiful 💜
Thanks Joan! Hope your having a beautiful day!💕
Beautiful 👏. Francesca Italy ❤️.
Thank you! 💕😉
I love these! I’m definitely going to try to make that dot vase! Where did you get that cement looking candle?
I made that one! ☺️
Basket reed should always soak in a glycerin bath before using it. It will soften and be much more pliable. I wove baskets for many years.
Thanks for the tip!! 💕
I love the idea of the canister,I have one and broke the lid,I keep my flour in it.. I’m going to do this to it
Hi Natalie! There you go, you've already got the canister to do it with! Come back and let me know how it went! 💕
🙃🙃 That is crazy looks pretty awesome you can make a lot of those and sale them to anthropologie🤭🦋
Haha right?! Thank you Camelia! ❤️
Wonderful..
Thanks 💕😉
I've seen people use Cinnamon to create that dusty/dirt look.
Nice turn out.
Hi Jessica! I've heard of people doing that as well! There's quite a few different techniques you could use to get the same effect!
Can use cement instead of mortar?
You could try, the difference with mortar is the adhesive ability. Mortar sticks really well (usually used to set tile) cement doesn’t have the same adhesion that mortar does...
