In celebration of the 9th anniversary of the anime, I decided to sub the show with my friend Zedopp. We weren't too sure about some of the names, so they may not be entirely correct, but everything else should be fairly close to the original.
The material presented in the video belongs to Ashi Productions and TV Tokyo. We make no claims to anything. This is a fansub by fans for fans. Cant believe Im on the verge of the infamous final episode, what a great series so far, gives me hope for amazing video game adaptions into anime or movies if handled correctly. Amazing job and thank you to Dreadopp and Zedopp for the sub, I have been following it since episode one, you are true F zero fans, respect and BOOST FIRE!

Why is it infamous?
Before going to the last episode, I just wanted to give my opinion on the racing element of the this series:
In my opinion, there were some "missed opportunities" in the racing aspect of this F-Zero Series. To be exact, while I liked the Boost Fire, Blood Fire, Death Fire and Black Fire power-ups, they all felt very SIMILAR and non of them felt "unique" at all, which could have been way much better if each of them operated DIFFERENTLY in a way.
For example, in other racing anime series such as "Dash Machine Hayabusa" or say "Bakuso Kyodai Lets & Go!!", each car had its OWN SPECIAL ABILITY and thus each of them felt UNIQUE and DIFFERENT in a way. For example, they could have done the following:
1. Falcon's Boost Fire: The machine turns into a giant FIRE FALCON which boosts the machine's SPEED to its MAXIMUM, thus making it useful in the STRAIGHT LINE parts of the racing track.
2. Ryu's Boost Fire: As in this series, the machine turns into a SPINNING TOP which makes the machine turn very SWIFTLY, thus making it useful in SHARP CORNERS of the racing track (which is what Ryu did to beat Falcon the first time).
3. Black Fire: The machine is surrounded by a giant shield (or turns into a giant Black Bull Aura-like creature) and DESTROYS whatever is in its path.
Also, I think that other machines which did NOT have the Reactor Might should ALSO have had their own special moves. For example, for Sonic Phantom, its special ability, when activated at a certain point, could be making the machine invisible/ghost (i.e. Let's & Go power-up style).
That said, I love F-Zero for what it is and my criticism above certainly does NOT take away anything from the sheer AWESOMENESS that this series has demonstrated in all its episodes. It certainly gets a 10/10 from me regardless! :D
If they make an F-Zero for the Wii U they should implement this!
I just saw it as: all the Boost Fires are the same, but the villains just liked to give them unique names for the hell of it.
If Ryu and Falcon named theirs in the same way, we'd have Dragon Fire and Blue Fire. Although I think that Falcon Fire would sound a lot better than Blue Fire.

TheFreeFlow Black Shadow's voice makes me think of him like he's a just joke. While in this anime, Black Shadow is cruel.

I was thinking this series is basically "Speed Racer meets Star Wars", seeing Haruka frozen in Carbonite only made me think that more.
There are way too MANY references in this anime... It's beautiful. :D

This is not just a video game-based anime...it's a passion project and you can see the writers are big fans of almost everything you can think of - Terminator, Snatcher by Konami, Speed Racer, Ninja Turtles, mecha, the list goes on.

It's been 16 years in the making and I finally got to watching the F-Zero anime. Its been a heck of a ride, now I can finally check this anime off my bucket list. On to the next episode where all those Falcon Punch compilation videos were born! FALCON PUUNCH!!!

Black shadow is don genie and Deathborn!? That was the biggest plot twist since well you know deathborn kills black shadow
According to his F-Zero X bio, Black Shadow is a known magic entity that takes different shapes or bodies at times to confuse his enemies or to catch them off guard. Who's to say Black Shadow can't be in two places at once, and one being in a different form? Besides there's several hints in GX that GX's story mode is just a movie as well.

But also, if Don Genie, Deathborn and Black Shadow are all one and the same, why were all 3 of them in the same place a few episodes ago?
He has the ability to manifest them separately from him, as a shadow is separate from a person, it’s on the ground, as it’s cast by the shape of the body from light to the ground. So he is able to manifest them into actual beings separately from him, or just transform into one of them.

WOOT!!!!!! Finally fond a proper f-zero sub episode and not only that but a channel with the (soon to be completed) entire series!?!?! THANK YOU!!!! BTW good job with the dub and all, its amazing how hard it was to find a channel that had even a few subbed episodes so finding you is a real treat. Well off to the 1st episode!

@@Mazaroth You've missed one: In the very first episode, when Ryu visits Brooklyn after waking up from Cold Sleep, in the background, the Twin Towers are visible in all their glory. They're easy to recognize because the North Tower has its antenna while the South Tower has none. (The Anime was released in 2003, two years AFTER 9/11)
Looks like 4kids saw it too because they censored it in their version.
@@Mazaroth Also, there's a reference, in F-zero GX this time to the movie Speed. The reference? There's a scene in Speed where the protagonist has to find a way to rescue everyone onboard a bus that had a speed sensitive bomb planted into it. The bus couldn't drive below 80km/h without detonating the bomb. In F-zero GX story mode, there's a chapter where you had to drive the Blue Falcon with a speed sensitive bomb planted on it. The minimum speed limit in Very Hard is set to 800km/h.
Tomorrow's the finale! We are REALLY waiting for the end... though I still loved your subbing, before August 17th, I had to watch FZEROPOWER's subbing on episodes 46 to the last episode since I was almost out of time. Happy 10th birthday F-Zero Falcon Densetsu still! And cheers to you for all your hard work! I would not betray your subbing! I think I'll rewatch the anime again!

it's a feature to make people feel psicologically better. Since Mute city is gigantic, part of it is underground, so it makes people feel better if they can see the sky, even if it is just a projection, and makes them forget they are underground.

The Anime follows it's own continuity not the game's continuity. Besides there's been several retcons in F-Zero over the years between game releases like Pico's age & design changing from F-Zero to F-Zero X, Leon being a "special ed" racer in X to a racer saving his entire planet in GX/AX. And there's several hints in GX itself that GX's story mode is either a Movie or the F-Zero cast are characters in a Fixed Work much like Pro Wrestling is to entertain the rich mongrels and common peasants who watch the sport.

The anime is non-canon and has no connection to the video game continuity of F-Zero. Hence why characters like Zoda, Don Genie, Deathborn and Falcon are completely different people here.

F-Zero GX and This show are completely separate universes.
I don´t know how well you played the story mode, but black shadow was shunned and humiliated by death born, not killed however.

Black Shadow has access to both cloning technology and the machinery to create androids, so I think that one is fairly easy to explain.
