Of all the characters they could choose to have a special intro with Shingo. Why Ash? Why not Benimaru or Chizuru? Also, Save? Rather, that jerk took advantage of the situation to steal Iori's sacred treasure. He didn't care about Shingo's life. People forget that Ash is the same guy who sold out his friend (Shen) and let him face off against an assassin (Oswald) and started a huge fire in Southtown (KOF Another Day)

Shingo said it himself in the hospital that Ash saved his life, even that would counter argument with Chizuru and Kyo the fact that both hated him. Seriously, no one has a perfect hand for writing a proper anti-hero character, it is conflicted, mixed feelings. Like, you have to betray your good men to achieve your own goals. But does it makes Ash a villain? He didn't killed any of good men, didn't sacrifice any of em. You've been doing this like forever. Leave him alone bro
