      Gio Reyna is a great player saw highlights of him at Nottingham Forrest and he subbed in and setup the assist for the tying goal. he did save his coach's ass, but Nottingham Forrest is a horrible team who can't make more than 2 passes in a row and can't even shoot the ball on target, horrible team.

    Doesn't help that people overhyped the kid to death both media and fans, whether or not he was as good as advertised was irrelevant because he was always up against it plus his fathers bs. I honestly think he's not premier league/ dortmund level he needs to go to Holland or France for a mid tier side to excel

      exactly, he saved Nottingham Forest against Crystal Palace this year too... but that's not how soccer works... for USMNT and Puma is a shareholder of Borussia Dortmund... Nike decides who plays for USA and if they have more invested in another player they will sabotage the better player for the worse player... I don't know if it's Nike but I think it is, but that's how pro soccer works, it's not just being the best player, there are other factors. Gio Reyna is already the best US player but there might be a sponsor conflict between Puma and Nike from the US team (Wasserman agent) and Adidas (Gio Reyna's shoes)...

    • @VenturaIT
      @VenturaIT 2 дня назад

      Problem is more likely that PUMA is a shareholder owner of Borussia Dortmund and their equipment provider and sponsor and Gio Reyna wears Adidas shoes... Nike sponsors the US team and probably controls Wasserman agency... so it's more than just who is the best player... Gio should go to an all Adidas team and if you look at Nottingham Forrest's jersey they are sponsored by Adidas.... THIS is the reason for all the weird stuff going on, just sponsor wars between Nike, Puma, and Adidas. I don't know any of this, I'm just guessing and it's the first time I thought about it but I think I'm right.

    It's a combination of system, circumstances, and talent level. Dortmund has the system but the talent level was too high last year. Nottingham Forrest's system was completely wrong with no need for a #10 who likes to slow things down and string short passes together. Throw in the relegation battle and it's no wonder things didn't work out. Now he is in limbo as Dortmund doesn't want him but his contract can only be picked up by wealthier teams. If I were him, I would seek a move to an Italian side where several teams are US-owned. If he could latch onto Inter or be reunited with Christian Pulisic at AC Milan, it could be just the jumpstart his career needs.

    Here we go with the “player with the highest ceiling” narrative again. Come on. Reyna can’t run. The guy is perpetually stuck in second gear, casually sauntering around the pitch. Fortunately he’s still quite young and can salvage his career in a mid table team somewhere. I’d like to see him in Spain, Portugal, or even a place like PSV.

  • @VenturaIT
    @VenturaIT 2 дня назад

    Gio Reyna is great player, I saw one highlight of Nottingham Forrest vs Crystal Palace. Nottingham Forrest is a horrible team who couldn't make more than 2 passes in a row and who couldn't shoot the ball on target. Reyna subbed in and set up the assist for the tying goal. So he does save the ass of his coach. The problem is that all coaches have a pecking order and they have heavy allegience to their current players to the point that they will go down while keeping the same players. This coach doesn't know Reyna, he's not going to help him and Nottingham Forrest is a horrible team playing caveman soccer. English soccer overall has never looked so bad, ever. Borussia Dortmund is also a team that plays caveman soccer. Have you seen the video of Haaland in the rondo and Haaland can't even trap the ball? Skill is at an all time low in soccer right now and Gio Reyna is a skill player. The only other highlight I've seen of Gio Reyna is where he did the same thing for Borussia Dortmund and he setup the assist for the goal. I saw Reyan hyped as Nottingham Forrest's new attacker... but he's not an attacker he's a playmaker or a 2nd playmaker. People are dumb soccer is so bad now it's not really even worth watching but Gio Reyna is a joy to watch, one of the few in the world that are actually worth watching, but people are dump including anyone at Nottingham Forrest and this is why Nottingham Forrest is about to be relegated and is known as a 2nd tier club. Borussia Dortmund has never been blamed for creating skillful and creative players, they play caveman soccer and are proud of it. Gio Reyna would do better in Spain, but he also does just fine at Borussia Dortmund, but in pro soccer you have the coach's players or you have the club's player... to stay at a club it's better to be the club's player but to get playing time you have to be the coach's player... let's see what happens with the coach at Borussia Dortmund. There are worse things than being on the reserve team for the 2nd best team in the world. But Gio Reyna is pure class, best US player right now and such a joy to watch and every single time I've bothered to waste my time watching caveman soccer teams like Nottingham Forrest and Borussia Dortmund he's won or tied the game for his team. The coach at Nottingham Forrest is obviously an idiot or he wouldn't be coaching a Championship team. Nottingham Forrest couln't even make 3 passes in a row! They couldn't even hit the frame of the goal, except for Reyna. GIO REYNA IS A GREAT PLAYER, but obviously there is something going on with the politics and Nike decides who plays, not the coach, not the team, not the agent... NIKE... and if NIKE have more invested in Pulisic then they will try to sabotage Reyna to make Pulisic look better... and Pulisic is a good player but not as good as GIO REYNA. Nike needs to shut the fvck up and stick to running shoes.

      I said this to someone else and it's honestly not us thinking we are a powerhouse at all, it's us recognizing the significant jump from not having professional players or a professional league at all for decades on end, to having a league, players in Europe getting starting jobs in Serie A, (McKennie, Pulisic, Weah, and Musah) which was all previously unheard of for us. So this isnt about the level being world class or super high. It's the level of progress that has been made being immense for us compared to just 30 years ago when we had no league and no world cup qualifications to our name. We went from being consistently ranked outside of the top 100 in the world for decades to being ranked in the top 20 consistently and even making it to the knockout stages of the world cup multiple times. Idk why people feel the need to shit on us when I never see people acting like the US is some super power team who is gonna win it all lol.
