"We have word that Jenson is talking to Louise Goodman" "Oh bad luck there, Jenson, can you tell us what happened from your perspective?" *and the ITV flirting session began*
I just bought this at a retro game shop a few days ago. It's serviceable, but nowhere near as good as the codemaster F1 series of games. Even F1 2009 makes this game look primitive.
This is the PAL version of Formula One 2001, right? Do you know if the bugs mentioned in the video are also present in the NTSC version released in North America? I haven't played the game that much, but I was unaware of the bugs you mentioned.
Hi mate i know they did do a slightly different version for the NTSC game but as far as i know the code was the same so i would say yes this was the days before patches so once the disc was pressed that was the final version :) Thanks For The Comment :)
Hi mate no the cheat works on expert as well just do a time trial lap it can be really bad but after the lap then quit and it should save the lap. Then start a world championship but it must be the same team and driver you picked for the time trial and then go out in practice in Australia and pause the game and the TC and ABS should be grayed out which means there on just go into a corner and you will see if you have traction and away you go. Do bear in mind it doesn't always work first time because it is a cheat but give it a few goes and it should work.
@F1 Games Playstation Nice one, didn't know that. Dusted the old girl off a couple of weeks ago, doing a championship on Pro with no assists. Winning races though, so will stick with it.
You know that in the ntsc version there are different driver? For example the Prost: 22 Heinz-Harald Frentzen 23 Luciano Burti Jaguar: 18 Eddie Irvine 19 Pedro de la Rosa Jordan: 11 Jean Alesi 12 Jarno Trulli And more sligtly difference which i don't remember now
One question (again) mate! Are in this game any retirements? Beacause I put them in the menu on but I have never see one in game. Neither in a chanmpionship mode nor just a simple race. Must I select a certain race distance to trigger them? Thanks for advice ;)
+200LiterKopter Hi mate yeah i don't think it does for shorter races and just to let you know the cars only pit once and only on 100% race distance any other distance and they don't pit unless they have damage:)
Oh many many years ago, me and my cousin played this game as a demo version. You only got Barrichello and the OLD Hockenheimring, it was just wonderful and this was the point when I felt in love with this wonderful forest straights, but this is anaother story..:) A few months ago I watched your vid and thought, hey just buy this game! Till now I'm playing and I must admit, that this game is a pearl, and for 2001 this game is better and funnier than this from CM. I really like the great physics engine, kicked Coulthard to Kazakstan! Deserved it ^^ And like everytime great vid, had a lot of memories from behind when I watched this and keep going on! Cheers mate!
I have two questions now, mate :) The first: Is this game (and the others for PS2 ) supporting a wheel? Or do you use a wheel, or a gamepad. I know that the Championship Edition for PS3 supports an wheel. And the second: How do you record this? Are you using a grabber, or an emulator? Cheers, mate! :)

What was the cheat to play with TCS on expert? I thought you had to win the championship on Pro to unlock the assists,
