- Rwandan opposition leader and government critic Diane Rwigara was acquitted of insurrection and forgery charges by a court in Kigali late last week.
After spending more than a year in detention, Rwigara and her mother were both acquitted by a three-judge panel who labeled the charges against the pair as “baseless”.
Her father was a major financial supporter of paul kagame when he was in exile in uganda. Help someone when they are down and then they turn around and murder her father-what does that say about the character of paul kagame?

Hhhhhhh hey I live in Rwanda I never have any problem with government. So That's means if you do criminal staff, then they will take you to jail, and is everywhere if you no respect your self then no one will value you. Do the right thing and live better.
Everywhere in the world, not all people are happy and they always blame their government! USA and Canada is a good example. The leadership Rwanda has is what it needs at this time and it doesn't necessarily mean everything is perfect because no country can say that but Rwandans should be grateful and stop listening to lies such as what Rwanda needs now is this and that! What Rwanda needs is peace, security and development and that is exactly what leaders are focusing on! Rwanda does not face the same problems as Canada so they cannot focus on the same priorities. For me, politics in Rwanda should be managed very differently than in other countries because the environment is unique, therefore Rwanda should have a unique way of governing to insure people's safety and prosperity. With time, Rwandans will understand why everything is the way it is now.

I agree to extent with your observation, however two wrongs don't a make a right. Also Buying stolen goods knowingly is as bad as stealing directly. Having said that, stealing the minerals is not the main issue, as many have done before. It's the utter disregard for Congolese lives, so far 6 million lives and counting have been victims to Rwanda and it's allies foreign policy in Congo. As a nation that has experienced genocide, the least I expect is understanding that the Killing and raping our women is inhumane an needs to stop at all cost....

I am not a kagame supporter however I am wondering if it is easy to attract investors in a filthy and chaotic country where there are hardly rule of law ?

What he did in congo when the hutu genocidaires camps were put on all the borders of Rwanda and were going back to fight in Rwanda and Kagame went there and destroyed all those camps which weakened their genocidal continuation plan and that also tore their european allies as they thought they would hide under the umbrella of being refugees hence why they let them have their weapons back and turned the said refugee camps into training camps for genocidaires little did they know that Kagame wouldn't buy into that foolishness/trickery he attacked them a destroyed the camps after he had repatriated 1.7 million of those who claimed to be just civilians who mean no harm.
in fact President Paul Kagame is one of the best African leaders , which most of them should be inspire from him . he did & does a lot for his country and his people ! secondly is very well known opposant parties in all African continent are just seeking to have power ,but does not care at all for their own people once been elected ! Yes Kagame is truly a good leader Rwanda should have ,and yes I understand Diane's frustrations but she can not lead Rwanda with such soft heart ,you need to have a tough heart to lead Rwanda based on the atrocities colonizers along with the parmehutu governments they put in power did ,so Kagame is the right person to know well how to fight those genocidaires and their allies ,so the region is still full of them just take steps to congo and see so sorry Diane you are not fit for this position maybe a senator or deputy but not president.
You cannot treat an African democratically and expect development. The prevailing economic situation in Rwanda is because of kagames manner of leading. This need to be copied by the rest of African states.
