      Can’t agree more. Horst’s videos and website have been the foundation for my understanding of whiskies.

    Horst your reviews are magical and brilliant! Thank you!! I will look for this Laphroaig and I just bought my beloved Lagavulin Distiller’sEdition 2023! It’s a favourite! Be well! Cheers!

    Thank you for this review! Checking out the 2.0 that just released recently. I wonder how close the two will be

    😂stinky … this is Horst at his best! For wealthy fans of this distillery as it is pricey in my opinion. Danke ciao 👋 S.

    $200 no age statement is a tough call

  • @whiskyandsports2964
    @whiskyandsports2964 9 месяцев назад +2

    I’m going to buy this, ABV > age anyday, it’s at least 3 years old right? That’s perfect for me 👍

    • @Whiskycom
      @Whiskycom  9 месяцев назад +2

      Of course it is older than 3 Years! If not it wouldn't be allowed to call it Single Malt Whisky

    190 euros ! It’s a candid pockets money catcher

    Now a "stinky" price to match the "stinky" whisky. 😊

    Mich würde interessieren ob es Informationen zur Anzahl der abgefüllten Flaschen gibt? Wie ist der L 1.0 limitiert? Rechtfertigt das den horenden Preis für einen NAS?

    Can you please review the Laphroig Elements 2.0 as it is now available and I cannot find any reviews? Thanks

    I got a laphroaig 10. Holy hell ! Taste like a rubber factory fire. Not my thing.

    Happy to see them put the L on the bottle, they finally became self aware.

    The price is crazy for a nas bottle.

    Save your money and just buy a cask strength version

    quarter cask under 50 euro. This sounds like a rip off.

      I only got a quarter cask to compare with Ardbeg 10 to more closely match the % AbV...but still a bit disappointed by Laphroaig QC

    • @utoobia
      @utoobia 9 месяцев назад +1

      It’s clearly better than QC to me, but it’s still too expensive. $120, sure, but not $190.

    Sadly adding water truly changes this tasting experience. No idea why you fail to taste it with and without h2o

    I loved Laphroaig, then I had covid & now I hate it 😕 that really annoys me ☹️

      Going through the same phase myself for a 2nd time. I have a majority of peated whisky in my collection and I’m struggling with them all currently.

    • @pilsplease7561
      @pilsplease7561 11 месяцев назад

      I cant stand any peated scotches I think its because I detest the burnt flavors or the nasty smokey notes because I am a winemaker who has tasted wines from the california wildfire regions that taste like ash and bonfires and that ruined it for me. @@Innovate22

      How long ago did you have covid? Same thing happened to me after I lost taste/smell from covid during Thanksgiving of 2021, it takes a while for all of your tastebuds to come back, that’s why I’m asking. Laphroaig tastes the exact same as it always did now.

    • @matthanna7162
      @matthanna7162 9 месяцев назад +1

      @whiskyandsports2964 it was about 6 months ago, I lost my taste for all smokey/peaty whiskies, which annoyingly makes up over 50% of my collection 😕 Right now, my prefer Rye, I can taste & enjoy spice.

      Hang in there, it took me about a year to start tasting stuff normally again.
