I remember I was obsessed with mario at the time, I asked for the plushes for Christmas one year, played all the weirdly gory fan games on newgrounds and everything, and honestly the nostalgia hits so hard now hearing this.
Hearing this brings me back to good ol 2008 or 2009, this is the best kind of nostalgia you can ever get and I truly will forever remember galaxy bc of this song, thank you for making this video, truly thank you.

Honestly if Mario Galaxy somehow ended up being the last ever Mario game it would’ve been an incredible ending to the series. Not saying the games after Galaxy were bad, (Odyssey is my personal favorite) but just think about it. Bowser enacting probably one of his greatest plan ever to not only take Peach but the whole Universe for himself, forcing Mario and gang to take the fight to the stars in one last attempt to take him down for good, learning new moves and meeting new friends along the way. Helping us on our journey is this mysterious character we know nothing about, but as the adventure unfolds we learn more about her and her heartbreaking story. All of this culminating in one final showdown for the fate of the universe leading to it all being destroyed and reborn in the endless cycle of life. At the end we see our three characters, a Plumber, a Princesse, and a King all lying on the castle grounds as if all the destruction in the beginning had never happened. A new Galaxy awaits them, one of adventure, discovery, and maybe even peace.
Maybe the reason why they had the universe reborn was to show that Mario Galaxy was the end of the classic era of Mario and the beginning of the new era of Mario?
This reminds me when I was 4 or 5 after going away from preschool cuz I was born in 2013, I get the IPad, and start playing that little Mario mobile game, Super Mario RUN, during obviously the new super Mario time, and I maked so many progresses trough that time it was a mind blow up!❤
It’s amazing to me reading the comments of someone born in 2013. I was born in 2003 and Mario Galaxy was my first Mario game. To this day I have not played a game that has had such effect on me. I don’t think there will ever be another quiet like Super Mario Galaxy.
