How do you find the quality of the conversion after owning it for awhile ? Is everything holding together well. Everyone I know that has a large RV or camper trailer complain about things coming apart.
@@NOTHOTlanta If kept out in the sun things do start coming apart The electronics don’t hold up very well Bit it’s always good to upgrade especially with all the modern Bluetooth stuff Very easy to upgrade anything on conversion vans

Man I miss my van, I had a 97 and sold it to by a suburban for the winter.....which was great for the snow but it's small and limited leg room for a talk family......the conversion vans have so much space..... everyone is comfortable
Oh these vans bring back some fun cross country trip memories. My parents had a dark blue ford econoline 350 van with 4 of the captain chairs and a fold down back bench seat. Built in tv with hookup for a vcr. Ladder on the back door and dual gas tanks with the switch to flip tanks down below panel where the hood release catches are nowadays. Plenty of room to drop the seats back and nap through the construction zones in the Midwest

Right, there's only issues of where you're going to take a shower, where to sleep, those vans don't stay warm or cool. I'm sure there's a filthy hotel somewhere lol 😂

The main wear and tear on my conversion can was the back bench seat that would turn to bed.
I played your soundtrack in your video again and this time I can actually hear you it's wonderful I just saw a nice and that I had just purchased one recently myself and I thought that pretty blue was just stand-out awesome
My Dad had customized by himself 1975 Dodge Maxi-Van no windows on side or back doors,he added 1 round window on each side near the back,small tinted type circa 1975 ! He then owned a 1977 Street Van short version,my Mom drove for a bit but then went back to her Mercedes 450 as a daily ! He also bought a 1982 Dodge Maxi van .....Best family vehicles ever...I bought a 2014 GMC Savana van similar to these with awd !! Just a neat van to go to our Cabin 3 States over !!! Still miss the old Dodge's,but my Dad still has his 1975 Dodge Maxivan he customized tastefully,factory 440 and when 1 year old he added a 3/4 cam,heads,intake,carb and its a 450 hp 87 octane beast for a van ! Love the awd in my gMC,great for snow in the Rockies !

Wow they still make these? I haven't seen these like since the 80s and 90s. I remember a family friend she and her husband always bought one every couple of years and the came with a TV and VCR. And a bed ...lol this one is nice

I drive in London/Essex a midsized 96 Astro Tiara anniversary edition. White with limo blue side lamps. I don't get many looks. I have to upgrade my rims I think to get admirers.

I bought a 2010 gmc hightop and its a beautiful ride. The only problem I have is that theres no manual on how to access the back of the tv area to replace an inverter. Any advice.

Looking for a four wheel drive conversion van
You buy the van then add a 4x4 conversion they don't make a factory full size van with 4x4 but the dealer can send it to quigley they are a factory approved upfitter for ford and gmc i believe so most of you're factory warranty stays intact except the 4x4 conversion parts that's covered by quigleys warranty. Can get a factory 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter but that's not a full size van and the conversion part with the bed and tv would be aftermarket.

@Ptguy0618 $45,000 is probably not an accurate figure. GMC vans cost more than Chevy. I bought a Chevy low top brand new last year for $46,000. Add to that the high top vans cost much more $$$$$$$$$$$! By the way, this is the 5th Chevy Conversion van that I have owned.

The car companies don’t build the vans.. they’re built by conversion companies like explorer, Mark III, etc.
Conversion is the key word; that van is still a GM product, and the conversions companies trick them out.

Lol i think that about almost every new vehicle.
Not only that...But there is no creativity on the interior. Maybe the conversion manufactures should look at what Airstream is doing with Mercedes...Not the full camping experience, but with colors, trim, space utilized etc...

Well I would hope that if you needed service, you wouldn’t rely on a poorly written RUclips comment to get in touch with them.
They don't make anything for a regular working person anymore. You can't go but a little gas saver without spending $25k. I would like a van like this for the comfy seats and room. I don't need all the extra junk. $65k and up. Nope. Crazy
