Your vid was way more explanatory than the others I've watched. Simple and to the point. Thanks for that !

Just purchased the Arccaptain cut55Pro, and ran into the air fitting problem. Thanks for showing how you fixed the problem. I really like my Mig200, and hopefully, the Cut55Pro works as well as the Mig machine.

Easy setup… plug and play. Put an air fitting on regulator. Quick disconnect. It works. No complaints! 👍👍👍.

Do you have a recommendation for an affordable / reliable Compressor to mate up with the ArcCaptain Cut 55? I have an old Craftsman Compressor but I am willing to get something "better" to go with the Plasma Cutter.

How are the consumables for availability? I've got the Harbor Freight Titanium 65 amp. I have to buy all the consumables from them since they are an odd ball torch.
Also, find a thread protector to put over the air fitting, especially if you do go down to just the nipple without the hose. Bugs like to nest in the regulators I found out.

It's an AG60 torch so my assumption is they would be an "open source" consumable. I'm gonna need to verify that!

@k6outdoors I was hoping for easier consumables, but the ITP65 torch seems to be a proprietary torch.

Just purchased one. It will strike an arc but a second after it starts cutting the arc goes out. Ive checked the ground, and tried different psi and power settings, different thickness of steel...still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Is it the cut55 pro or the older version? I haven't had this issue

I have a novice question for you. I have always wondered if you need a welding helmet while operating a plasma. I'm not blind yet but have never used one while operating a plasma. Thoughts?

Many people argue that yellow tinted glasses are enough and others don't feel they are needed at all. The fact is that plasma cutting can and does emit radiation which can damage your eyes. I've always used shade 8 or higher eye protection and in this instance set the welding hood to "cut" which darkens the view. Hope this helps!

How big of an air compressor/ tank is needed? For now, I'm cutting pretty thin metal (

for most plasma cutters like these smaller ones need enough compressor to supply 4-7CFM of air at whatever PSI you are looking to use. Hope this helps.

@k6outdoors I will recheck, and take the head apart to see if anything is cracked or loose. Thanks!
