I'm glad that you compiled the actual benefits MMO's can have for people when use properly. I've been able to learn over the years how to with with groups of varying skill sets and temperaments, just to give one example. Practicing breaking down larger abstract goals into smaller achievable steps also translates from OSRS into real life in a very intuitive fashion. Love the video.
Good points I agree some of these benefits to be true. Especially for gaming so long and my best, long term friends I met online. However competitive or casual spots, martial arts or physical activities in general will always trump these cognitive benefits and support and general well being gained from online games. A perfect balance of both and we should be feeling great all around!
i know this isnt strictly relevant to the content of the video but im like 2600kc at thermy and i had no idea abt this method lol ive been doing the walk-under method this whole times
i thought it was a joke or he was like, no the games are bad, but NO !, Games arent good for you neither for your brain, yes certainly, MMO's or games in general maybe gives some benefits but there is more bad than good when playing these because you will never trust your brain, you will say to yourself that youll play "just 1 hour" but no youll play 10h, its never enough and my recomendations are to just quit them, its not even fun to play MMO's, its adictive because it makes you get goals, and when you finish them it gives you tons of dopamine because you feel like you accomplished something, but you didnt.
all hobbies are fine in moderation. Who cares if you played 12 hrs on your day off if you're having fun, its the same as any other hobby and you are harming no one. The accomplishment is that satisfaction you feel, and that's elevated if you play with friends. Runescape is a great social game for that, and can even make some great friends throughout, who knows maybe even life time friends. You might not value that the same but that's not to take away what others gain from it
@@yummydespair9429 i was kinda pissed that day but what i want to say is, find yourself some higher quality hobbies instead of runescape or videogames man, there isnt only videogames as a fun hobby because there is thousands of others that are great too, and well you wont listen to my advice anyway. But if you do thank you
Just because someone has video games as a hobby or wants to improve at them, doesn’t mean that they are one dimensional. In fact, the whole purpose of me making these types of videos is to teach generalizable skills through RuneScape, to gamers so they can take them to other domains. Video games are high quality hobbies when done correctly anyways.
thumbs up and agree before watching.
Judging by the thumbnail RuneScape will increase my accuracy when attacking people in real life, just what I needed, thanks
