My personal experience as a Girl was whenever I offered to pay, I was looked down and also everytime guys expected me to pay subconsciously and mostly this happens in corporate world. Always felt awkward asking guys to pay their share of money. It's about society conditions that guys like girls who don't pay money, because it makes them feel more masculine whereas girls like me who pays is always just a nice girl but not a desired one. Feels like bullshit about these psychological aspects.

Paying on the first date shouldn’t be an issue also, don’t engage in a fancy first date with an unknown person. Value your resources, spend only on the right person after the first date. The first date is where you check whether the person is worth your time or not and you spending your resources easily lowers your value as a man.

When acahraya ji said indian women , he meant the 'idea' that's prevalent among women and men. Generally women has to insist on paying or it hurts the man's ego.. bollywood and Asian countries are pushing this idea along for very long due to patriarchy and commercial purposes. I indeed agree with your point of view. I believe its absolutely possible for a woman to be in peace and in a full state of freedom without even earning a single penny. But the trouble comes when men gets dominating and soon their dominace becomes a toxic reflection of projecting themselves as being superior than his woman. So I believe there are two ways a woman can be have the freedom : 1. She herself has to be financially independent Or, 2. Her Husband treats her with equal respect for all the work she does and shares her a significant amount of his income. Conclusion : Choose a Very Good Man or Be financially free by your own. What does Acharya Ji have to say about the compromises that women make such as they leave their houses to go to stay with the husband and his parents, instead of the other way round.. 'kanyadan' as they say.. Secondly, the change of identity post marriage of the wife and the children, children are named after the husband instead of wife.. because of all these major and minor aspects of our society, women are considered as 'paraya dhan' and not encouraged to excel academically or earn a living, as much as they expect a man to..
if a revolution is to be brought, it must be a total revolution..just women earning and spending equally might not help ..

I indeed agree with your point of view. I believe its absolutely possible for a woman to be in peace and in a full state of freedom without even earning a single penny. But the trouble comes when men gets dominating and soon their dominace becomes a toxic reflection of projecting themselves as being superior than his woman. So I believe there are two ways a woman can be have the freedom : 1. She herself has to be financially independent Or, 2. Her Husband treats her with equal respect for all the work she does and shares her a significant amount of his income. Conclusion : Choose a Very Good Man or Be financially free by your own.
