Check out my comments in part 1. I think that the products you have picked out there should do the trick. Do not use bondo to repair dents as it is not designed for submerged applications. Instead try and massage out the dents from the inside as much as possible and use the the JB weld to give it a final smoothing. Again stay away from silicone as it will cause issues later with painting, that tubed sealant you have will work just as well and be paintable. Please reach out if I can be of any further assistance.
