    I saw a uk dentist when I lived there, he promised me fabulous white dentures bla bla. He yanked my few bad remaining teeth out and I have never known pain like it., ever, it was horrific. Anyway I paid the 10k. The top was ok but the bottom was terrible, the denture flew out and flapped like a demented owl in my mouth. I went back lots of times. Ended up not wearing the bottom ones and was left with two horrible black implants poking out my gums. Long story short, years of no lower teeth, tinnitus m face dropped and gaunt, ear issues, mouth sores.. finally got sorted in Bulgaria. Am getting the finishing part done here as i cannot go back to Bulgaria. The bone graft cost €1500 and the rest of it will cost €2800. I cannot wait to have a salad. I lived on baby food and ice cream. Mentally messed me up too.

      The cost is around $45k for the full mouth. A doctor would have to evaluate your bone health to determine if you're a candidate, or you can submit panoramic x-rays to have them determine. • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Год назад +8

      Implants generally take 3-4 months to osseointegrate with the point to the point where they are strong enough to use for chewing. When we place the implants at surgery, the patient gets teeth but they're not supposed to use them for chewing for 3-4 months, meaning, they are on a soft foods diet. After that time period, they have healed and we will place a final set of teeth made from zirconia that the patient can use for chewing.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Год назад +1

      Hi Angie, Yes! We actually prefer to do the extractions during the same surgery as when you get the implants placed. For one, you're already sedated, so it makes it easier. Another reason is that we can preserve your bone much easier when we replace an implant at the same time a tooth is removed. Most bone loss occurs within the first year after a tooth is removed and so we avoid this by doing the implant placement at the same time as extractions.

    Implants are not forever. They break too. And the worst part, that dentists don't tell you is, if they fail, there is nothing else for you. Dentures with implants (or hybrids) must be considered as last resort. I feel sorry for those credulous that allow these dentists to remove functional teeth to put these implant bridges that are so expensive to fix (if they can be fixed).

      @@lilyvalley1239 don't remove the teeth if the teeth do not need to be removed. A lot of people come to the dental office I work to, just to have teeth extracted. Teeth can be restored with crowns, root canals, restorations. Also, don't wait until you have pain to fix them. Most of the time it is too late or to expensive to do something about it.

    Why is it okay to use titanium? The answer is, its NOT. It's terrible for the body to have metal implanted. Ceramic Zirconia is far more healthy. Why can't a person choose that? Can we?

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  14 дней назад

      Zirconia certainly is an option. That said, titanium has been scientifically proven over decades to be a great option in all types of orthopedic and dental applications. On the periodic table it is two elements away from calcium and the body can osseointegrate it very effectively. Only a very small percentage of the population has the type of metal allergies that would have any adverse affect to titanium.

    You look great, happy for you, but about the price of a car? How many cars do these people need? It's sad that people have to go elsewhere to get affordable dental care! Such a ripoff

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  7 месяцев назад

      The vast majority of our patients make less than the median income level and finance treatment similar to getting a new car. It's a sacrifice for most people, but one that they're willing to make because of the life changing benefits. We understand that it won't be the solution for everyone.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  Год назад

      Medical insurance doesn't cover most any dental treatment and dental insurance usually maxes out around $2,000. Most patients finance treatment and it's less than a new car payment.

      Paragonare un auto (proprietà ),ai denti (salute )non è un paragone possibile . Non siete gli unici dottori che usate questo paragone . Ci sono persone che non hanno nemmeno la bicicletta (mi riferisco a persone medio povere ) e tanto meno i denti . I denti sono un bisogno naturale dell ‘essere umano . Tutti i dottori dovrebbero riconoscerlo . Salve .
