Hello Madam, I have malocclusion in one side only so that side of face is looking asymmetrical and that side jaw is also straight but other side is not looking straight so can orthodontic treatment fix that??? Please help
sure subhash.. Ideal occlusion is a pre- conceived theoretical concept of occlusal structures and functional relationships that include idealized principles and characteristics that an occlusion should have. on the other hand, a normal occlusion is some deviation from that of ideal but is aesthetically acceptable and functionally stable for the individuals. The upper and lower teeth fit nicely and evenly together with the least amount of destructive interference.
Goodmorning, mam thank you ,actully my doubt is the relation between the maxillary 1st & mandibular 1stmolar relation is same in normal occlusion n class 1 maloccluison bt in the normal occlusion is everything perfect that is perfect dentition but in class 1 malocclusion irregularities n crowding is present bt molar relation same as normal occlusion am I right mam?
They both are the normo-occlusion as per 1st molar, the only diff is of ant teeth which are either malposed teeth, supernumerary , congenitally absent teeth, inclined or rotated etc which basically causes incorrect occlusion in class 1, Not seen in normal occlusion Molar relationship is same in both
