This is the only song from Blackpink I like. And that's because the violin. It is sampled from a classical piece. The violin is so good, it is such an earworm. This song is a 10/10 for me. A true pop banger. Also Dreamcatcher covered Kill This Love with their usual rock twist on the genre.
Rosé from Blackpink 3:55 just dropped her full debut studio album 'rosie' her lead single is blowing up and one of the biggest songs of the year 2024 and into 2025. It was the most viewed music video in 2024 and it was only released 2 months before the end of the year. It's called 'Apt' with Bruno Mars. There are viral videos of everyone from babies to seniors jamming to it there is a music video if you haven't checked out the song I would recommend it. Apt or apateu is a S. Koeran drinking game and also the Korean word for apartment. This is a fun song not to be taken seriously and doesn't totally present her as an artist you can't put her into a box with one song. Rosé outside of Blackpink is very different she has played instruments piano and guitar since childhood she also is credited as co-writer and co-composer of all her solo music something Blackpink and no other member of Blackpink can claim. Her music is more along the lines of western pop, she does ballads, and even a bit of r&b people have also commented on an avril lavigne influence on some of her songs recently like 'toxic till the end'. She has said after this album that she would really like to do more pop punk so that might be one of her future lanes. Rosé very well known for her amazing voice which Blackpink doesn't really get to showcase. Her music is completely different from Blackpinks so much so that the Grammy's wrote and article about how she set herself apart from both Blackpink and kpop. She has another single with a music video 'number one girl' this one really showcases what Rosé is best known for her vocals she wrote it after reading later night 'doom scrolling' hate comments about herself. Bruno Mars was a co-proudcer and co-writer on the song and Rosé directed the music video. Rosé is one of those rare vocliast that people say sounds even better live which is the case when she performed 'number one girl' live which you could watch instead of the music video 'ROSÉ (로제) - number one girl [더 시즌즈-이영지의 레인보우] | KBS 241129 방송' Her newest music video is 'toxic till the end' which is totally different than the other two and the music video is like a movie with a story. this one is bringing comments saying they get an avril lavigne vibe from her, especially when she performed it on Jimmy Fallon. Rosé performed a medley of Apt/toxic till the end and she took over Fallons set started by performing at his desk, she was backed with a full live band and backup singers with a skatepark backdrop. Fyi, ROSÉ also serves as Creative Director for the stage design alongside Frameworx. I'm a rock/punk/metal fan mainly, her music might also not be your speed but I think you might be able to appreciate her artistry. Rosé is has always stood out in kpop she was the Aussie indie girl with a guitar her passion for music just they way she even talks about it people always knew she would be different and she's making waves with Western and Korean media talking about how she's changing kpop doing it different and showing that Korean artists can have large success in the west she's even getting records breaking radio airplay for a kpop artist in countries like the US and UK. She's killing it in US, UK, Germany, Japan, Austrilia and more breaking new records. These are all from her debut studio album 'rosie' which explores different genres and is being praised criiclay for her lyricism and songwriting. Rosé co-wrote and co-composed all the songs and she was executive producer for the album. She owns the masters and publishing rights to all the songs Apt included. Rosé is currently breaking her own group Blackpink and PSY (gangnam style) 12 year old records. It's a no skip album. I'll put what some publications like they Grammy's have to say: GRAMMYs on ROSÉ's album “rosie”: “It's perhaps one of the most introspective works to ever come out of K-pop. The result is a relatable, emotional “little journal” of a promising global star. ROSÉ proves that she's an artist who refuses to be put in a box” Also the Grammy's 4 Ways ROSÉ's 'Rosie' Sets Her Apart From BLACKPINK - “As she did with -R-, the singer/songwriter led the entirety of rosie's creative direction and writing, further delving into ruminations on staying true to herself.” She Brings A New Kind Of Vulnerability // She Proudly Details Her Mistakes // She Isn't Confined To One Sound // She Explores Her Sense Of Self NME 4/5 review On her debut solo album, BLACKPINK’s Rosé sheds her armour, revealing a more vulnerable side behind the polished pop powerhouse. Pop Passion Rosie Review: 10/10 "ROSÉ is also a songwriter for every track, and she has impeccable literary craftsmanship, describing how it feels to want to be with someone no matter what, and also to experience toxic relationships. This album came in with a bang, not only with APT. being the successful leading single, but this being ROSÉ's first solo album and first debut album, and I believe its release was handled exceptionally."
I am not an expert on music but isn't K-pop music always got influent from American music? I think one of the reason that Blackpink has gained their popularity is that they sound some what familiar to American audiences but with much better production and good dance choreography. Anyways, if you do not like it, it is ok though.

That is true but still a lot of K-pop groups have their own sound where you can hear a difference. But I don't have that in this song
Lots of young girls in video dressed up. It was ok, good voice but not my style🎶🎵🎶🎵
