- Toya Graham spotted her 16-year-old son in a crowd of teens vandalizing and looting during the Baltimore riots Monday. Cameras captured the moment she confronted and struck the boy, and the video went viral. Graham, a single mother of six, joins "CBS This Morning" exclusively to talk about what happened after the video where she showed tough love for her son.
I'm sure she would rather be chasing, smacking n hitting him while he's alive, than crying over him when he's dead. That's not tough love, that's a parent's love 🥰

School was closed that day, so she told him to stay home. Because, of the riots and police activity. Then when she was on a break she was watching the news thought she saw him called the house and the other kids said he wasn't there. She went to go save her baby.

That’s a real mother, a good parent even as a single parent that undoubtedly and truly loves her son to her core being! She also enforces the distinction between right and wrong in her son’s behavior, so society doesn’t have to correct him due to his misconduct, especially in criminal manners.
This mom is a single parent, she lost her job, doesn't go out anywhere for her own pleasure, and is utterly devoted to her children. There are a lot of people who become parents and maintain their selfish tendencies. So much respect for this woman and the example she's setting for her kids.

@@johnlopez1604 actually it would still be disciplinary but you have to remember, a man hits harder then a women. Not all the time but majority of time. Also a man has a deep voice that shakes the core so why would he need to result to hitting his daughter is my question? Kids are more inclined to listen to the father then the mother. Maybe it's out of fear or just an animal instinct, who knows. All I'm saying is that a man has build and voice on his side against his daughter while a mother has none of that against her son who is literally towering over her. That's all. May not be the answer you wanted but I think that's people's mindsets. Also most of the time it's the women doing the beating not the father and if it's the father he does it to the sons in the household not the daughter for the exact reasons I stated above. Now if the father was a single father with a daughter I'm sure he doesn't need to result to beating her unless she literally doesn't care and he doesn't scare in the slightest which if that's the case the dad usually will just kick the daughter out of the house, fathers rarely hit their daughters because agian, exact reason I stated above and fear that their daughter will allow their spouse to do that to them but worse. Now before you say what about the sons, yes it can happen with them too but men usually grow into the character of "I'm no punk" and also the mother, a good one, will say never to let a female put their hands on them. All in all a father brings more fear to table with what they have while a mother does not. Guess it's an instinct thing. As I said probably not the answer you want but hey at least I answered the question with what I think.
@@johnlopez1604 also forgot to add it also depends on the placement of the beating. This goes for both male and female as if a beating is to the face, then that's all the wrong. If it's on the bum it's fine for both the father and mother to do but again, keep in mind a father will majority of the time be a little bit more rough then the mother but the bum has enough cushion so it should be fine.

I love her. Hero mom who wants and will do everything to keep her son safe. Her personality is amazing. Not saying you should beat your kids on a regular basis, but if you are throwing rocks at anyone is not ok. Her smile and laughter is contagious. Single parent life is horribly difficult. I was a single mother for awhile and currently my husband has been deployed for awhile now and has been deployed 3 times in a year. His current deployment is 9 months. I’m basically raising my daughter by myself. Yet I’m so lucky to have such great friends because it takes a neighborhood to raise a child sometimes. Help is amazing
