India is not China's enemy. Don't worry. China develops advanced weapons to make Uncle Sam more peaceful. China suffered a century of humiliation in the past (1840-1945). China wants to make sure that she will not be humiliated again in the future.

      I m a Malaysian.
Do you know that China brokered peace between Saudi and Iran?
      1. USA, not China, is the threat of the world nations. Since the end of WWII to 2001, roughly 248 military conflicts occurred in 153 regions around the world, of which the US waged 201, accounting for 80 percent of all wars worldwide.
China has traded with SE Asian for 2000 years. In those years, they had been the world’s biggest powers many times. Never once they sent troops to take our land. Admiral Zhenghe came to Malacca five times, in gigantic fleets, and a flagship eight times the size of Christopher Columbus’ flagship, Santa Maria. He could have seized Malacca easily, but he did not. In 1511, the Portuguese came. In 1642, the Dutch came. In the 18th century the British came. We were colonised by each, one after another.
When China wanted spices from India, they traded with the Indians. When they wanted gems, they traded with the Persian. They didn’t take lands. The only time China expanded beyond their current borders was in Yuan Dynasty, when Genghis and his descendants Ogedei Khan, Guyuk Khan & Kublai Khan conquered China, Mid Asia and Eastern Europe. But Yuan Dynasty, although being based in China, was a part of the Mongolian Empire.
Then came the Century of Humiliation. Britain smuggled opium into China to dope the population, a strategy to turn the trade deficit around, after the British could not find enough silver to pay the Qing Dynasty in their tea and porcelain trades. After the opium warehouses were burned down and ports were closed by the Chinese in ordered to curb opium, the British started the Opium War I, which China lost. Hong Kong was forced to be surrendered to the British in a peace talk (Nanjing Treaty). The British owned 90% of the opium market in China, during that time, Queen Victoria was the world’s biggest drug baron. The remaining 10% was owned by American merchants from Boston. Many of Boston’s institutions were built with profit from opium.
After 12 years of Nanjing Treaty, the West started getting really really greedy. The British wanted the Qing government:
      1. To open the borders of China to allow goods coming in and out freely, and tax free.
      2. Make opium legal in China.
Insane requests, Qing government said no. The British and French, with supports from the US and Russia from behind, started Opium War II with China, which again, China lost. The Anglo-French military raided the Summer Palace, and threatened to burn down the Imperial Palace, the Qing government was forced to pay with ports, free business zones, 300,000 kilograms of silver and Kowloon was taken. Since then, China’s resources flew out freely through these business zones and ports. In the subsequent amendment to the treaties, Chinese people were sold overseas to serve as labor.
In 1900, China suffered attacks by the 8-National Alliance(Japan, Russia, Britain, France, USA, Germany, Italy, Austria-Hungary). Innocent Chinese civilians in Peking (Beijing now) were murdered, buildings were destroyed & women were raped. The Imperial Palace was raided, and treasures ended up in museums like the British Museum in London and the Louvre in Paris.
In late 1930s China was occupied by the Japanese in WWII. Millions of Chinese died during the occupancy. 300,000 Chinese died in Nanjing Massacre alone.
Mao brought China together again from the shambles. There were peace and unity for some time. But Mao’s later reign saw sufferings and deaths from famine and power struggles.
Then came Deng Xiao Ping and his famous “black-cat and white-cat” story. His preference in pragmatism than ideologies has transformed China. This thinking allowed China to evolve all the time to adapt to the actual needs in the country, instead of rigidly bounded to ideologies. It also signified the death of Communism in actually practice in China. The current Socialism+Meritocracy+Market Economy model fits the Chinese like gloves, and it propels the uprise of China. Singapore has a similar model, and has been arguably more successful than Hong Kong, because Hong Kong being gateway to China, was riding on the economic boom in China, while Singapore had no one to gain from.
In just 30 years, the CCP have moved 800 millions of people out from poverty. The rate of growth is unprecedented in human history. They have built the biggest mobile network, by far the biggest high speed rail network in the world, and they have become a behemoth in infrastructure. They made a fishing village called Shenzhen into the world’s second largest technological centre after the Silicon Valley. They are growing into a technological power house. It has the most elaborate e-commerce and cashless payment system in the world. They have launched exploration to Mars. The Chinese are living a good life and China has become one of the safest countries in the world. The level of patriotism in the country has reached an unprecedented height.
For all of the achievements, the West has nothing good to say about it. China suffers from intense anti-China propagandas from the West. Western Media used the keyword “Communist” to instil fear and hatred towards China. Everything China does is negatively reported.

Then they visited India said"we are brothers" and there's no dispute to the Indian territories. Very next year, CCP forces attacked India and dislodged Indian position from Aksai Chin.

The best response for India to take is to shut up its mouth for the next 50 years and come out with some revolutionary systems to show then, may be there is a chance. Rest assured that other nations ain't sitting on the fence waiting for India too.
Secondly, China's quantum leap in tech snd defence/offence aint aim st India as many Indian media wish to portrait. India has to work hard for it and not by just talking. Anyway, why India is so arrogant and hostile towards China over the border issues which is the remnant of past colonial power's greed and imperialism. Even the disputed border lines have a English name, McMohon Lines, to start with, not Indian.
Thirdly, there are just too many BS made and fed to the public by Indian past and present leaderships over the border issues. And with the western propaganda often in play to the western agenda, and not Indian again. Hence, everything has became so complicated and a matter of national pride nowadays regardlessly. Guess China is more composed, calm, rational, consistent and decisive on the matter. But India has the opposite by constantly stirring national emotions and confrontations to WIN votes and elections. Hence, a lot of harsh talks, chest beating and hostility made but without much positive results but otherwise or missing of opportunity for a Win-Win scenerio in India's quest for industrialization. A typical Trademark of India, it seems.

Even per capita GDPwise, India is only 1/5 of China’s, but India has always spent way much more on military percentage GDPwise comparing to China, UK 2.3% or France 2.1%, The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute calculated India’s defense expenditure at 2.4% of GDP in 2023.
“By comparison, China, with its much larger economy than India’s, spends about 1.7% of its share of GDP on defense,” India has become a country of war monger, yet to see what’s has lagged behind with China lost counts including some of which the global GDS network, ISMB, nuclear reaction tech, Hypersonic missiles, drone techs, robotics, AIs, 3d printing, space techs are all far behind, even the electricity required to run a wind tunnel like CHina’s JF 22 the world’s fast speed wind tunnel, which will reach Mach 30, that’s the backbone of all aviation vehicles development including 6th gen fighter, space craft, hypersonic missiles, air freighter like Y-20 or Y-40, domestic plane like C919 or 929, even us ‘s wind tunnel can reach Mach 5 only now, Chinas power generations is 2 times of us, plus all the infrastructures like HST net work, Bridges, green energy, tunnels, highways, fully automatically run sea ports ,even China’s shipping building capacity is 232 times of US, India has raised too high a bar to catch up with the most advanced fields of CHina, and the world’s most advanced, by looking at the host and guests, they all speak English, a language of their old master, the colonized, none of them even speaks Indian at all, that’s a clear sign of least self respect lacking(or is there a unified language for Indians to speak besides English?) i bet lots of the development China has made includes domestic and foreign educated intellectual asset’s devotion, i rarely see any India’s students studied abroad willing to return to India after graduation, yet China probably has a 98% return rates of US educated students after graduation, comparing with Indians, the smartest one obviously don’t love India at all. China and India lack mutual trust is more on the India side rather than China side. Contrary to many Indian's believe, China does not have much hostility against India. But India is hostile against China. India pulls out from RCEP in last minute because of China, India is against Belt and Road initiative because of Pakistan, India actively joins US's effort in containing China. India has to think hard on what is the most pressing issue for India: Is it the risk posed by China's rapid development or is it the lack of desired progress of India's economic development. Regardless how much military budget India plans to increase, India will not be able catch up with China because China GDP is 4.5 time of India. Back 40 years ago, right at the beginning of China's economic reform, Deng Xiaping decided to cut the military budget by half despite facing the threat from Soviet Union and had a border war with Vietnam. Things gradually improved since that time. India can take a lesson from that.

But alas me and my family have now come to the conclusion that India is the west's poodle, the yes man of the west in asia. On the other hand I now see China as being on the side of the global majority. I have even told my Indian friends this. I never imagined that India that was itself once colonised would stoop so low as to become America's henchman in asia.

India should get rid of the shackles of colonialism and demand the returm of treasures..jewelery..and gold amounting to 45 trillion dollars and claim the reparation costs inflicted by the British during its colonial era on India instead of arguing and trying to project and flex its military muscles which in fact it has none against China..

China is NOT an aggressive country as in China's long history, they have not invade, conquer or colonize any country BEFORE. And they will very likely will NOT do that in the future.
So best is not to be too concern but work together with China and Russia to create a better world. At the same time, improve your military and science area.
The world need great leaderships to lead world to a better peaceful world.
China military advancement is mainly for defensive only in case their country is under attack.

feelings of entitlement and unrealistic expectations (and sadly, arrogance). Not dissimilar to the inner soul-searching over India's dismal olympic medal performance - that a country of India's size and population somehow deserves to be amongst the leading olympic nations but cannot muster a single gold medal and is beaten by its hated enemy and one of the poorest and most dysfunctional economies in the world, Pakistan, let alone china. As I recall, the unrealistic comparison (a constant in the Indian discourse in almost every domain) with China's gold medal performance was a dominant theme in the Indian media/press. But the comparison was always, ridiculous, like comparing an elephant with a snail. India doesn't invest in top tier sport (and that is totally appropriate given its overall poverty, its immense socio-economic priorites) to the extent that china does - perhaps, with the exception of badminton and yet the expectation is Indian gold medals galore (remember the national agony over Vinesh Phogat's appeal over disqualification amd the faint possibiity that she might get the silver?). I recall in the 80s. when the LCA project was announced and the wholly and wildly optimistic timelines for GTRE to introduce the Kaveri (can I humbly suggest this is a critical national flaw in the Indian character), it was obvious back then that the timeline was unrealsitic and here we are 40 years later. How many of India's universities and research institutes figure in the world's top 100 universities for cuting edge research, again compared to china? BTW, its been a long haul for china to develop leading universities and research institutions in the aftermath of the cultural revolution and in its own search for adequate turbofan technology. china imported a ToT spey engine factory in 1975 but eventually had to mothball it because it didn't have the requsitte metallurgical science to develop the alloys. as we know, it is only in the last 5-6 years that china is able to produce reasonable turbofan engines for the airforce so it has taken 45 years or so (their engines' MTBO is likley to be behind western tech) inspite of billions of $ of investment (and also a dysfunctional bureacracy as well as silos in the early days). china is now probably a world leader in ram/scram jet engine. so again, India's unrealsitic expectations (of course, DRDO's dysfunctional bureacrcy magnified the problem but then, dysfunctional bureacrcy is another national Indian flaw?). India doesn't have cutting edge science and hasn't invested in science so any increase in the miltary budget will only have a small impact. neither the us or russia will share the turbofan technology to the fullest edtent (GE have just said they will transer 80%, RR has taked about it but 100% is unlikely. Russias said no, and Safran may be considering but their tech is not leading edge (the M88 almost qualifies as a legacy engine but beggars can't be choosers - I mean for both the french and inda - btw, turkey is likely to face the same problem.

    (1) Indian foot soldiers (SEPOYS) in the British Army formed part of the Eight Nation Alliance that invaded China in 1900.
    (2) To rectify trade imbalance, the British imported INDIAN OPIUM into China, demanding payment in silver. They used this to buy tea, silk, porcelain from China. By 1839, opium sales to China paid for the entire British TEA TRADE. Btw the British smuggled Tea Plants from China into India for planting.Tea came from China to India.
    (3) Conclusion: India owed China BLOOD DEBT which China forgiven and forgotten! Yet India is the ONE whose always thinking China wants to harm her. China had the Atomic Bomb before India and could had attack India back then. So India please remember China is NOT your enemy. China is a pratical country. China even accepted India Buddhism to be part of its culture. China does not envy or hate India. So be friends, India and China can be the richest countries in the world like before the Colonisers came.

While submitting Income Tax return, there should be option to optionally donate additional funds to "Indian Defense Theaterisation and upgrade effort". Also, government should increase R&D budget, space research budget, defense budget etc. strategic investments and start bringing knowledgeable people / resources to transfer critical technology from outside. Also, Private sector is excellent choice👌it cuts out the corruption at its root because of product competitiveness.
