Quick Tipp for Tim: Next time you want to open your bottle on an edge. Don't pull the bottle, give it a little smack on top.
The Israelis put a bottle opener on the Galil rifle, so if you carry one of these to open bottles it's legal.

Just came back from the Philippines in Boracay and Puerto Princesa. First time and love it. Beautiful, friendly, humble, hard-working people. Will definitely go back to explore more of the beauty of these islands. Love your channel and the chemistry you have with Tim the ATM machine.

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Southern Leyte some 15 years ago. It was the best 10 days of my life.
I stayed at Peter's Dive Resort and did some fantastic dives. I drank some beers at that very same beach. I have an ex-pat friend who has built a wonderful home in Pansil(sp?) near wishy-washy beach. He is the "other" white guy you might find in town, Neil "Jungleman" Hoag, and he has written a couple of books about his lifestyle on the island.
Lechon, means "roasted". So you have Lechon Manok (chicken) and Lechon Baboy (pork). I like the pork, roasted over coconut husks.I think I even recognized the house that you were staying at.
Shout out to Tim the Great. Thanks again guys. Great personal touch Harald.
A popular dish in Spain and its former colonies, the word Lechon is derived from the Spanish word leche (milk) which refers to a roasted suckling pig. Over the centuries however, it wasn’t just small, suckling pigs that were being roasted. As the feasts got bigger, so did the size of the pig.
You should visit again. There are a lot of beautiful places to go here :)

AKA cochinillo (mostly in Spain) - and it's most certainly NOT a "pork chop", it's roasted pork - usually over a pit, charcoal or wood fire - and they are simply asking you if you want it "chopped."
Not from Spain , from Portugal .
Despite the fact Spanish colonized Philipines these name come from Portuguese that passed there and the name is LEITÃO that we give to small Pork babies .

The innocence of Harald and Tim towards the Filipino culture and the hospitality of the Filipinos towards these curious guys make the video fun! Some people may be thought to be "shy" but actually, they would be happiest to get into conversations with you everyday if not for the language barrier. 😊😊
Why are filipinos so westernized? Selina Lopez sounds like the name of a spanish or mexican lady. What happened to the filipino names and filipino culture? As a foreigner I feel most filipinos adopt western names and put western especially American culture on a pedestal. Shame really.
@saluki The Philippines was colonized by Spain for more than 300 years, and was forced to changed their names to Spanish sounding ones via a decree by the Spanish government, then Americans came and colonized the country for 50 years and taught the Filipino people the English language.

Most times there would be an insurgency against foreign occupation in most places, I come from a part of the world that resisted colonization. We didn't name our children Jean-Pierre or Louis, we retained our culture and identity even though we didn't have independence or sovereignty.
