I would love to know how they taught kanji in language school! I’ve also been learning kanji by JLPT level and I like it since it’s more common kanji you learn first
I would want to go to a language school where they teach from うんこ漢字ドリル so I can learn useful sentences like 「スタントマンが、目を閉じてうんこのプールに入れていく。」and 「うんこ漏れそうです、助けてください!」.
@@johannakatakana same please make videos on how to best learn kanji!! Also, I can’t speak at all!!!!! How can I do that?? I’m lacking too much vocab and don’t know how to put them together and what particles… please advice?!?!?
I use WaniKani for Kanji which is great as it is a mnemonic and srs, so when I see the kanji while reading a level 0 story, even without knowing the word I can guess the basic meaning. It may be expensive but once a year there's a sweet sale for lifetime membership. Grammar is my enemy though lol
I haven't used it before, but I've heard of others using it and liking it! Thanks for sharing!! (And yeah. Japanese grammar is a whole other video lol 😂)
She speaks facts, these are something that I gave neglected to do at the start but have started to change my view on it. In doing so my Japanese has improved
Big mistake was starting with Rosetta Stone. The conversations there aren’t practical. Plus it’s was hundreds of dollar. I learned faster with reading and writing practice books from my local Barnes and noble. Hopefully this helped someone out here.
ありがとうございます for the tips ジョハンナ。 As an American from California, I found it very hard to wrap my head around placing the verb at the end of the sentence. Remembering all of the verb conjurations is quite overwhelming... I don't speak, but I'm sure it would help with the memorization when you actually use the language...
Different kind of verbs and lots of ways they change depending on what you want to say 🤪 It took me a long time and lots of practice speaking with japanese people to get a hang of it 😂
It depends! With some kanji one of the readings is common and the other is uncommon, in that case you might only have to learn the common one ☺️ In school they'll likely give kanji sheets to study from, and there it'll say what you have to learn!
I've never gotten into that! I think since I've spent most of my time studying japanese IN Japan, it's been natural for me to just pick up pronunciation and intonation from listening to people around me talk 🤔 I don't think you need to spend time learning it for every single word! I think if you listen to lots of japanese you'll get the hang of it, and by trying to imitate och copy what they say you'll probably get the same result as studying pitch accent! That's just my take on it though 😆
My listening is very bad, i can read and speak a little my accent is close to a native lol but when i listen to japanese its like they are talking in another language

It's a good start to learn through the JLPT system since there is lots of material to use! ☺️

Thank you for the warning! 😹
I would like it if you would be so kind as to do a video going into the Kanji and how you studied in your Japanese Language School! Thank You!
Thank you. I will follow your suggestion.
Good luck with your studies!! ☺️

thanks for all the tips and tricks. very helpful.
Very happy to hear that! 🤗
@@johannakatakana patiently waiting for my COE so all I got is study work lol 😝
I hope you get it soon!!
Speaking is definitely my downfall. However, I love kanji study.
Just practicing a little bit at the time and keep going will get you a long way! ☺️
Well, I'm the opposite to you.
Do the teachers or jlpt exam expect you to learn the both meanings of the kanji? i dont know how i need to learn it correctly.

How long did you take to speak common daily Japanese Johanna😊
Have you ever studied/do you recommend studying pitch accent in isolation? is it a waste of time?
btw i mean like memorising the pitch pattern of every word and its various conjugations😅
