Sadly he has key + c1 which gives: HP, 65% more damages and i think key also applies to nilou for the EM buff but even if it doesn't there's still quite alot missing at just c0r0, I use her as burst vape with 4pc emblem and r5 harbinger, she can hit 120k burst total if u count both ticks of damage

What about Nilou, Furina, Baizhu, Xiangling? Furina would grant her huge buff alongside hydro resonance, Xiangling plus burning is hopefully enough pyro to still vape on Nilou (and Furina too I suppose), while Baizhu heals and holds instructor so the solo pyro Xiangling build is less impossible to realize. I don't have Furina or Baizhu so I can't test it but maybe someone else can and report back if it works.
I run vape Nilou with Kazuha, XL and Bennet. I've never switched off of a crit build, the bloom dmg bonus honestly feels a bit overtuned and have never run into an abyss where I needed to switch artifacts back to HP.
You wont be swirling hydro in that team, so Kazuha is just buffing XL there. Its probably more than usable to be clear, I just am personally not satisfied with a team where two of the teammates wouldnt be synergistic with Nilou
When I got Nilou on her first banner, I was so abdament on not using Dendro reactions (since it was new and I didn't want to farm em), so I built her vape until last patch where eI got Kaveh on standard. Sadly, I can never get those crowns back...
i was playing with melt ganyu for a long time and she's still okay with just xianling benny and for the 4 slot i prefer zhongli. it's not comparable in damage with neuvillete per say but still pretty fun to play with
this is kinda off topic but could you try Neuvillette and nilou together? I imagine you'd use a team like nilou/nahida/neuvi/furina with neuvi and nahida on prototype amber for fanfare stacks. You could also just switch out furina for kokomi, but I think that makes the team less fun :/ It'd be interesting to see whether the tradeoff in neuvi field time for bloom damage is worth it and if prototype amber can keep up with the blooms, it might even help frontload fanfare, which is another really fun aspect of the team (though that kinda goes for all furina and nilou type stuff). Furina's healing mode might even see some love, depending on the rotation.
Yeah you definitely can, I think I tested it once a while ago and it worked pretty well. The main advantage is that you are diversifying the team dmg to include a lot more hydro dmg, rather than just the dendro dmg from bloom cores, but there is the disadvantage of your off field units being more fragile, which means you may accidentally die when switching them in occasionally.
I have vape nilou (i got her c1 today) and my team for her is her, neuvillette, bennett and xiangling. neuvillette for extra hp and for dmg when the is on cool down. i do xiangling e, bennett e, bettet burst, xiangling burst, nilout burst, then nilou e clicking. the highest she has done (she is at lvl 70) is 70k in abyss, around 40k in overworld
I run Furina-Yelan-Baizhu-Nilou (on field skill dmg) and it works really well. If you don't have C2 Nilou (hydro/dendro res shred) then you may also consider running Jean as the healer instead of Baizhu. I prefer the Baizhu variant even at C0 because it's more comfortable healing and you get passive bountiful core blooms as extra aoe damage.
Mr. Soluna when is the next account fixing video, i find them really helpful bc i have terrible account management and are sometimes lost on who i should build and invest into but videos like that gives me a clear sense of direction that makes playing genshin easier.
I remember when Nilou first came out or maybe after Nahida's release, people were absolutely trying to dogpile on Nilou, how restrictive she is, how reliant she is on Nahida (after watching hours of pick/ban abyss tournaments, I can safely say that was a lie), etc. Then there was one singular clip of someone playing her "wrong," aka Vape Nilou but with Xiangling-Bennett-Kazuha, and the clear being super fast still didn't matter to those people because of Xiangling and Kazuha specifically. Seeing this kinda goes to show she's only as restricted as one's own account and imagination.
As a nilou main(best girl🔥🔥🔥), ive been testing different dps nilou teams for a while. The best team archetype that I have found is mono-hydro, but if you really want to play vape then try sunfire jean set-ups with Furina or xiangling, they worked really well.
Yeah I just find mono-hydro (and any mono team) quite boring to play, personally. Thinking about the layers of interaction between character kits with the reaction system especially is what I find most engaging about the game
it's funny to hear you say that the hydro aura is the normal version of Nilou's skill to use, I'm running her in a Nilou/Nahida/Dendro MC/Barbara team and always deliberately go for the NA version of Nilou's skill, specifically so that my 1100 EM Barbara can reliably be the Bloom trigger for the team, so I never want Nilou's hydro aura to be up.

Would kazuhá instead of Raiden make the team's overall dmg higher? Since he would increase nilou's DMG by about 70% also increasing pyro application and sometimes triggeríng burgeons, and the average kazuha has 850-1000 ém so would be more reaction damage than raíden. Raiden also has advantages cuz quicken for ñahida, also her burst ís a reliable way to deal wíth enemies with a lil bit of HP after a rotation
The problem with Kazuha is how are we swirling Hydro to get his buff (dmg bonus and VV)? Not that there arent ways to do it, Ive done vape Yelan in the past with Kazuha by using Yelans burst, having Bennett self apply pyro to Kazuha, which guarantees pyro infusion on his ult and hydro swirl, then I can switch back to Yelan to vape her skills. With Nilou, she has no way to apply hydro first (we want to save both burst and skill) then swap off field to swirl it, so the only way to do it is with a second hydro teammate
@@Solunerra oh, it does make sense, especially since if you were to use a second hydro character you would loose the ability to actually have different sources of damage since no blóom reactions
Would attack speed be meaningful on your C1 Nilou? I’m guessing the ICD would restrict the vape, but you could get off a lot more waves. Plus an auto-attack Nilou just sounds really fun tbh.
I wonder if this will work when Emilie comes out. She’s also a Dendro off-field applier, but she benefits from Burning reactions on the field, which would clash with Nilou’s intention to Vaporize
I just got C2 Nilou (got 1 copy per rerun). I am looking for a new team to play to show off my Nilou's new skin XD I will try this team. This is also the first reason I have of building Deyha so it is a win. Speaking of unconventional teams. I recently got C6 Faruzan! And one of my fav team is triple EM high crit and high ER substats VV (R5 Xifos or favonius) Kazuha, Golden Troupe DPS Elegy Faruzan, Festering Desire C2 Furina (or using Key and swap to ER timepiece) then Noblesse high crit and ER with the craftable leaf sword Bennett. This team everyone does damage because of 4 supports. Bennett can vape Q near 80K, Kazuha's E and ult slashes for 40k, Faruzan's Q 1st hit for 100k and her charged attacks hits for 30k and then procs for another 40k, then Furina vapes for 150k or so, and since it is a quick swap team, there is tons of invunerability and Bennett can actually keep 3 teammates quite healthy (only furina has too much hp to be well healed).
Although 60k vapes looks great, with C2 nahida and Key, normally your blooms would crit for 60k too and it happens a lot more often. But since abyss isn't that hard anyways I would love to build my Dehya to try this team out!
Dehya doesnt need to be built that much for this team! Just enough not to die on an instructors build, since she does tank some of the team damage lol. She does deal some burgeon dmg occasionally though, so its not worthless to level her for that purpose too
when i got her first and played her to farm chests with my bf. he played dehya and nilou did a 120k vape with her burst and i was like 😳 after that day i only play her vape. with just 20 crit and 70 cd by 70k hp a 50k base attack is amazing 😍 i wished for other pyro applications than just dehya xiangling or thoma... if klees ult would at least stay if shes off field😢

Orange and blue are complementary colors. This is why Key is also orange, and why Nilous red hair works. Contrast is good! So I think it looks great, imo, sorry if it hurts your eyes lol
Would having Dehya and Xiangling together be worth it? Not sure about their synergy but on paper they seem to compliment the discomforts both teams here have (Xiangling's energy, Dehya's circle impact moments, etc). I'd imagine the overall damage to be lower than the soup team but in terms of a pure vape Nilou team it sounds like it would work
Yeah it should work, though Dehya in that instance is just offering a small amount of particles for XL and pyro resonance, so realistically Bennett becomes a lot better with the only downside being loss of the interuption resistance. So yeah, XL will definitely work, even on her own. I just like the dynamic of getting good vapes on Nilou and having good damage happening otherwise
I never play Nilou bloom basically ever any more, and it only benefits that composition, and that composition has always felt plenty strong to me. So why would I want it lol. Reducing Navias ER needs is genuinely more valuable to me
Kinda yeah lol. Neuvi but not boring due to needing to work around Nilou's positioning more, and stuff like timing her burst to vape twice properly (I got bored of Neuvi after the patch he released and barely have touched him since) To be clear, I get bored of any one team, and I just like when I can play characters in different ways and make for a functional team. Neuvi's problem is that all of his teams end up feeling so similar to play
Yeah you need C6 Candace, and in many situations its basically a side grade to Yelan, but has potential for faster rotations (and personally I really really like how it plays). Non C6 Candace could technically work if you dont care about consistent vapes (you can still guarantee a few vape hits with just the hydro application from Candaces switch but really its not recommended lol), but thats mostly just relevant for OW

i still use her bloom build with 42/126 crit ratio 73k hp hydro resonance and still works for me. though her skill doesn’t vape high number, her burst deals around 190k-200k with kazuha - bennet - mona.
I havent found I needed it (except against the local legends apparently), but yeah Kuki is a good option. She triggers less often than Raiden though, and has a smaller AoE, so it is likely worse dmg wise, but wont fundamentally change how the team functions
Yeah Id assume it does if you just want some hydro for Arle to vape. Ive not tried doing a weird mix of seeing if I can do burst vape dps nilou that also enables Arle vape with her skill. There may be some potential there
You dont really need to level Dehya to test it even, so yeah Id try it out. Dehya does trigger some burgeons/burning so her reaction dmg does technically make leveling her worthwhile but its basically the least important dmg contribution in the team. Just put instructors on her and you should be good to test it out at the very least
I mean sure but it wouldnt fix the downsides of some Nilou bloom teams--just increases their damage. If that gives you more flexibility to run a different team on the other side of abyss that you couldnt otherwise, or you just like clearing as fast as possible, then maybe thats worthwhile. But imo unnecessary. Especially C2 Nilou. C2 Nahida is useful for many many different teams and is justifiable to get for its value that way, and to a similar extent Key of Khaj Nisut has fairly good value in a few different forms. Ive never felt the need to get C2 Nilou just to make bloom Nilou do even more damage, personally
"Vape Nilou isn't a thing" bro Vape Nilou was legit my best dps when i first got her leveled (with key, but without nahida) on my entire account. Ayaka's freeze team clears felt so slow and clunky in comparison (albeit still good in a vacuum). I actually just went on my account to retest vape nilou again yesterday on domains i was farming with a different team that i thought was my best team, but vape nilou's average clears were about 10-20 seconds better than that other team's best clears. Nilou isn't all tha niche. she has a niche best team, but that's not to say she isn't amazing on other teams, even if technically suboptimal.

Maaaybe, though youd have to do electro activated Dendro MC burst, so Im not sure how the uptime would be. Its definitely something you could test and see how many vapes/blooms you get and how awkward DMC ult is before bothering leveling anyone though!
Vape Nilou is def real and it’s cool how you use Dehya a lot in your videos, but on the other hand the whaled out characters (I know there are bigger whales out there ofc) make it fairly unrelatable
Yeah, thats why I tend to significantly power down some characters in my videos. Overall, though Im trying to show my process of what I do to have fun in Genshin, not trying to make the most relatable things. I just try to share my knowledge about the game regarding whatever idea I have to mess around with characters. I leave the proper guides to the creators that are better at it. When it is something that makes a difference, I do try to remember to disclose it (like C2 Nahida in this video particularly). I really really wish I could disable constellations to show the actual differences these things make, though. Its also important to keep in mind the fact that a lot of the things I can do isnt just "whaled out" stuff, but just very high investment things. And any individual team I show in my videos is actually approachable (without whaling) if its something you really want to achieve. Worth going for? No, in my opinion. But possible? Absolutely, it just takes time, planning, and deciding if you really want that--or some luck. A lot of the reasons I have the ability to do different things on my account isnt because of whaling but more just an effect of playing the game for so long. As an example, no money was spent specifically for the strength of the Arlecchino team I showed briefly this video.

This team is 8.5 cost because it has 4 5* characters (one of which is a standard 5* that counts as 0.5 cost, so that's 3.5 total), 3 limited 5* constellations (3 cost), and an r2 limited 5* weapon (2 cost). This is just a metric used to see how vertically invested a team is, and more synergistic teams tend to perform a lot better at similar investment levels in comparison to this nilou team

You could use Furinas weapon because deyha would activate the hp passive and the skill damage would stack with on field burgeon damage

i was messing around with vape nilou in the overworld and got 30k on her burst, and shes at lvl 60. i was shocked lol

it's funny to hear you say that the hydro aura is the normal version of Nilou's skill to use, I'm running her in a Nilou/Nahida/Dendro MC/Barbara team and always deliberately go for the NA version of Nilou's skill, specifically so that my 1100 EM Barbara can reliably be the Bloom trigger for the team, so I never want Nilou's hydro aura to be up.

Would kazuhá instead of Raiden make the team's overall dmg higher? Since he would increase nilou's DMG by about 70% also increasing pyro application and sometimes triggeríng burgeons, and the average kazuha has 850-1000 ém so would be more reaction damage than raíden.
Raiden also has advantages cuz quicken for ñahida, also her burst ís a reliable way to deal wíth enemies with a lil bit of HP after a rotation
The problem with Kazuha is how are we swirling Hydro to get his buff (dmg bonus and VV)? Not that there arent ways to do it, Ive done vape Yelan in the past with Kazuha by using Yelans burst, having Bennett self apply pyro to Kazuha, which guarantees pyro infusion on his ult and hydro swirl, then I can switch back to Yelan to vape her skills. With Nilou, she has no way to apply hydro first (we want to save both burst and skill) then swap off field to swirl it, so the only way to do it is with a second hydro teammate
@@Solunerra oh, it does make sense, especially since if you were to use a second hydro character you would loose the ability to actually have different sources of damage since no blóom reactions

I just got C2 Nilou (got 1 copy per rerun). I am looking for a new team to play to show off my Nilou's new skin XD I will try this team. This is also the first reason I have of building Deyha so it is a win.
Speaking of unconventional teams. I recently got C6 Faruzan! And one of my fav team is triple EM high crit and high ER substats VV (R5 Xifos or favonius) Kazuha, Golden Troupe DPS Elegy Faruzan, Festering Desire C2 Furina (or using Key and swap to ER timepiece) then Noblesse high crit and ER with the craftable leaf sword Bennett.
This team everyone does damage because of 4 supports. Bennett can vape Q near 80K, Kazuha's E and ult slashes for 40k, Faruzan's Q 1st hit for 100k and her charged attacks hits for 30k and then procs for another 40k, then Furina vapes for 150k or so, and since it is a quick swap team, there is tons of invunerability and Bennett can actually keep 3 teammates quite healthy (only furina has too much hp to be well healed).
Although 60k vapes looks great, with C2 nahida and Key, normally your blooms would crit for 60k too and it happens a lot more often. But since abyss isn't that hard anyways I would love to build my Dehya to try this team out!
Dehya doesnt need to be built that much for this team! Just enough not to die on an instructors build, since she does tank some of the team damage lol. She does deal some burgeon dmg occasionally though, so its not worthless to level her for that purpose too
when i got her first and played her to farm chests with my bf. he played dehya and nilou did a 120k vape with her burst and i was like 😳 after that day i only play her vape. with just 20 crit and 70 cd by 70k hp a 50k base attack is amazing 😍 i wished for other pyro applications than just dehya xiangling or thoma... if klees ult would at least stay if shes off field😢

Would having Dehya and Xiangling together be worth it? Not sure about their synergy but on paper they seem to compliment the discomforts both teams here have (Xiangling's energy, Dehya's circle impact moments, etc). I'd imagine the overall damage to be lower than the soup team but in terms of a pure vape Nilou team it sounds like it would work
Yeah it should work, though Dehya in that instance is just offering a small amount of particles for XL and pyro resonance, so realistically Bennett becomes a lot better with the only downside being loss of the interuption resistance. So yeah, XL will definitely work, even on her own. I just like the dynamic of getting good vapes on Nilou and having good damage happening otherwise

Kinda yeah lol. Neuvi but not boring due to needing to work around Nilou's positioning more, and stuff like timing her burst to vape twice properly (I got bored of Neuvi after the patch he released and barely have touched him since)
To be clear, I get bored of any one team, and I just like when I can play characters in different ways and make for a functional team. Neuvi's problem is that all of his teams end up feeling so similar to play

Yeah you need C6 Candace, and in many situations its basically a side grade to Yelan, but has potential for faster rotations (and personally I really really like how it plays).
Non C6 Candace could technically work if you dont care about consistent vapes (you can still guarantee a few vape hits with just the hydro application from Candaces switch but really its not recommended lol), but thats mostly just relevant for OW

i still use her bloom build with 42/126 crit ratio 73k hp hydro resonance and still works for me. though her skill doesn’t vape high number, her burst deals around 190k-200k with kazuha - bennet - mona.

I havent found I needed it (except against the local legends apparently), but yeah Kuki is a good option. She triggers less often than Raiden though, and has a smaller AoE, so it is likely worse dmg wise, but wont fundamentally change how the team functions

Yeah Id assume it does if you just want some hydro for Arle to vape. Ive not tried doing a weird mix of seeing if I can do burst vape dps nilou that also enables Arle vape with her skill. There may be some potential there

You dont really need to level Dehya to test it even, so yeah Id try it out. Dehya does trigger some burgeons/burning so her reaction dmg does technically make leveling her worthwhile but its basically the least important dmg contribution in the team. Just put instructors on her and you should be good to test it out at the very least

I mean sure but it wouldnt fix the downsides of some Nilou bloom teams--just increases their damage. If that gives you more flexibility to run a different team on the other side of abyss that you couldnt otherwise, or you just like clearing as fast as possible, then maybe thats worthwhile. But imo unnecessary. Especially C2 Nilou. C2 Nahida is useful for many many different teams and is justifiable to get for its value that way, and to a similar extent Key of Khaj Nisut has fairly good value in a few different forms. Ive never felt the need to get C2 Nilou just to make bloom Nilou do even more damage, personally

"Vape Nilou isn't a thing" bro Vape Nilou was legit my best dps when i first got her leveled (with key, but without nahida) on my entire account. Ayaka's freeze team clears felt so slow and clunky in comparison (albeit still good in a vacuum). I actually just went on my account to retest vape nilou again yesterday on domains i was farming with a different team that i thought was my best team, but vape nilou's average clears were about 10-20 seconds better than that other team's best clears. Nilou isn't all tha niche. she has a niche best team, but that's not to say she isn't amazing on other teams, even if technically suboptimal.

Maaaybe, though youd have to do electro activated Dendro MC burst, so Im not sure how the uptime would be. Its definitely something you could test and see how many vapes/blooms you get and how awkward DMC ult is before bothering leveling anyone though!

Vape Nilou is def real and it’s cool how you use Dehya a lot in your videos, but on the other hand the whaled out characters (I know there are bigger whales out there ofc) make it fairly unrelatable
Yeah, thats why I tend to significantly power down some characters in my videos. Overall, though Im trying to show my process of what I do to have fun in Genshin, not trying to make the most relatable things. I just try to share my knowledge about the game regarding whatever idea I have to mess around with characters. I leave the proper guides to the creators that are better at it.
When it is something that makes a difference, I do try to remember to disclose it (like C2 Nahida in this video particularly). I really really wish I could disable constellations to show the actual differences these things make, though.
Its also important to keep in mind the fact that a lot of the things I can do isnt just "whaled out" stuff, but just very high investment things. And any individual team I show in my videos is actually approachable (without whaling) if its something you really want to achieve. Worth going for? No, in my opinion. But possible? Absolutely, it just takes time, planning, and deciding if you really want that--or some luck. A lot of the reasons I have the ability to do different things on my account isnt because of whaling but more just an effect of playing the game for so long. As an example, no money was spent specifically for the strength of the Arlecchino team I showed briefly this video.

This team is 8.5 cost because it has 4 5* characters (one of which is a standard 5* that counts as 0.5 cost, so that's 3.5 total), 3 limited 5* constellations (3 cost), and an r2 limited 5* weapon (2 cost). This is just a metric used to see how vertically invested a team is, and more synergistic teams tend to perform a lot better at similar investment levels in comparison to this nilou team
