Oh dear, she needs her own show. Such a character - but genuine and authentic and not blatantly attention-grabbing in the way that so many are nowadays. Saying out loud things like "Comma but!" = so classic and hilarious and signature her.
Unfortunately, at least on Food Network, the opposite has been what is successful for the last twenty years. Stridency, contests, and loudmouth celebs, most of whom can barely microwave popcorn, are what drives ad revenue. If you don’t have your own cookware line at Walmart, you’re nobody.
@@joesantamaria5874 Yes, it's interesting, though, because so many people have said to me that they love the Great British Bake-Off precisely because it isn't catty, full of backstabbing, exaggerated conflict and all the hallmarks of other contemporary cooking shows... but, perhaps we and these people are all part of a small echo chamber we're unaware of being in.
I love that she holds on to mustard jars to make dressings in! I do the same with both the jars and the bottles, especially when the mustard is towards the very end. Then I dump in my other vinaigrette ingredients, shake shake shake, bam. Mustard vinaigrette, already in a tidy little container.
What a delightful dinner this is! They are so adorable and you can feel the love and apprecation for each other. She cooks with such love and passion and those are the most important ingredients 🤗
I love cooking with a passion. I don’t buy cook books any more BUT I asked my daughter to gift me Dorie’s New cookbook- Chez Moi. I love her videos tho as she explains it so well, reading a recipe seems harder to follow. But I’ll try. Love Dorie (newest fan) thanks to food 52 just found her❤️
I really enjoy all cooking shows and I was a big fan of the foodnetwork until they stopped showing how to prepare dishes and concentrated on game shows. Now that I discovered Dori and her very relaxed and informative approach to cooking she has a fan forever. I'm asking for all her books for Christmas. Are you listening Santa.
Ty - I hope to buy her first cookbook maybe I can get it for Christmas- I love her, her cool collected mannerisms - I prepare her three ing almond drops often, also her gougers - thanks to Foid 52 I have found her🙏❤️
Dorie is a GREAT teacher and host. fyi - Protip- in the south we only use a box grater to prepare cheese for pimento cheese! But your pimento cheese looks fabulous Dorie.
She put the cooked chicken on the rack where the raw chicken had been… I couldn’t hear her, did she say she was cooking it in the oven? If not, isn’t that a food safety no-no?

Other than her putting the cooked chicken cutlets right back on the rack where the raw cutlets were, this looks amazing!

Daniels If you’re a Chef... as many as you can get. They each have a different purpose. Notice that each has a different shape. ;-)
