Je vous présente ma version du dernier morceau du premier album, sorti en 1969, "In the Court of the Crimson King" du groupe de rock progressif KING CRIMSON. Comme vous pouvez le constater, le titre de la chanson est "The Court of the Crimson King", je me suis mélangé les pinceaux et j'ai été un peu trop intrusif dans mon titrage. Mais je vous sais tolérants et compréhensifs ! Bonne écoute !

Fun fact: JoJo's character Jean Pierre Polnareff comes from French artist Michel Polnareff who himself was very inspired by King Crimson :) Listen to the song Lettre à France, it sounds a bit like 'The court of the Crimson King'

About the reference, it's from a manga called JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. There is a villain who have a "power" called King Crimson and a "sub-power" of this one, called Epitaph.
So, with Epitaph he can see near future and with King Crimson he can erase the next ten seconds from now, keeping the consequences of what people do in that time, but they don't remember what they do in the ten seconds, and he can move in that time to avoid the damage from the attacks of the other people.

In my opinion, to make a cover of a song is not about playing the same instruments as in the original song, or playing the exact same way and the exact same notes at the exact same tone as in the original song. But it is indeed about replicating the exact same feeling, the exact same mood.
That's why 90% of the covers I hear on RUclips are garbage. Especially covers by many hard rock or metal guitarists who are very good instrumentalists but terrible musicians. All they can hear is, pardon me for using this term, their own mental masturbation and the song as a mere excuse for their exhibitionism.
On the other hand we have musicians like this, who can not only understand the true meaning of a song but also to respect it.
And that's the difference between a mere instrumentalist and a musician.
Here's the musician. And here's the song. And when they join together what a beautiful art they create.
That's really a very beautiful compliment. Making a cover of a monument, espescially with your personnal touch, it's like a leap in the unknown. You don't know if you will land on pillows or pikes!
