Such a shame that an otherwise good soldier has fallen into controversy. Guess the money makes it all not matter? Who knows.
I found the Bravo Two Zero book to be a compulsive page turner. I think Andy was being honest about his experience in theater of war. I also read _"The One Who Got Away"_ by Chris Ryan. I found his telling to be a bit dubious if not just an embellishment of the facts.
+Debbie Smith read michael asher's "the real bravo two zero" where the looks at what those two said in their after action reports and what they later wrote about. Liars, both of them. Another liar is Marcus Lutrell and his bullshit in "Lone Survivor," but that's a totally different topic. I recall seeing Lutrell interviewed two days after his "friend" Chris Kyle had died, and STILL he had to make sure he had a copy of his book of bullshit displayed prominently within camera frame. The sad fact is that the real "heroes" are almost always the guys who never survive to write their own book.

FACT, Michael Asher was a part timer not fit to lace any of the B2O lads boots!!
There's a difference between lying and editing a script for a book /film,and how do you know Mitchell and Armstrong lied, were you there? Both these men passed one of if not the hardest selection course of any special forces there is.Mitchell (McNab)also served in the Det in Northern Ireland I don't care what you say they've been there and done it!!
+ Craig Ellis + Jack Reaper - - this point was answered by Ryan Flood, 2 months ago, addressing essexracer27 --- 1) Google the book, It says partially fictional account... I imagine a book that reads, went to Iraq, got captured, got interrogated, came home. Is not going to sell many books. Use your loaf. 2) It says on the book it's fiction... How much clearer can you get. If you wanna ignore that then call the guy a liar, that shows how clever you are doesn't it big man.
My dad suffered with PTSD well before the civis even heard the name for it and in the end he killed him self in 99 and chose to do it in the most violent way he could just so wish they admitted it's a problem and gave it a name and made it clear there was no shame in asking for help seeing it as not showing weaknesses to anyone RIP my dad Stephen Thomas McDermott passed out 73 then went AWOL in 76 to go fight in Angola as a private soilder with dreams of money land and all the beautiful girls who could handle problems was he was on the wrong side and just bearly getting away alive he said the boarder or parts of it was a river and he swam for his life then got nicked off special branch minute the planes touched down lol
There's always an element of jealousy in negative comments. About people like Steve, Maybe the truth is over exaggerated a little, its nature of the beast getting caught up in it. A case of the fisherman's tale, he is a down to earth and unassuming person. With nothing to gain from telling lies!
His story was proven to be a complete lie as a former sas man did and extensive investigation into his story and it is all lies...this is done Purley for money
Both Mitch and Colin lied in their accounts, with MoD approval. It suited the narrative. It's not just Asher's findings or the evidence on the ground, the operational issues confirm the myths. Mitch the comedian fucked up first by failing to endure he had the correct frequencies - before setting out.

+Debbie Smith those lot you have already digested are good company with`` The adventures of baron of munchausen`` do take a look if it worth of your while my dear i must say. Cherrio!
+Hal Jallikakik Asher was a Walt trying to make a name for himself, of course the book's and films are edited and sensationalized by the MOD, you don't think there going to allow the truth proper to come out do you? at the end of the day Billy Mitchell passed the hardest military selection course there is..

1) Google the book, It says partially fictional account...
Ment to say he passed out 73 joining 3 para

There's always an element of jealousy in negative comments. About people like Steve, Maybe the truth is over exaggerated a little, its nature of the beast getting caught up in it. A case of the fisherman's tale, he is a down to earth and unassuming person. With nothing to gain from telling lies!
+George Lowe nothing to gain except £.
That bloody bog paper, i remember that when i sat selection for the infantry at suttoncoldfield lol bloody awful stuff, no grip whatsoever 😂😢
Hmm, I read Soldier Five about 10 times, not so sure about Mr. Mcnab
The only people who know what happened are those who were there. Anyone else shouldn't second guess.
But through all the information a pretty close conclusion could be made, however yes, youre correct
they were debriefed when home and they didnt mention killing 250 iraqies like they did in books see the real bravo 2 zero
@@Embryonicboy exactly, only those on the official debrief will know the facts.
@5 .40 he says the emphasis changes from toilet paper and fifty pees (pence) to killing people. Or do I hear it wrong. I am fluent in Larndon (London) but maybe my ears are not switched to 'receive.'
wow "truthloader" you guys do realize that there is a book from another former sas soldier out there which disproofs the story how he told it? All the respect to McNab for beeing an SAS operator, but this doesn't make his story about the hundreds they killed true and is disrespectful towards his killed comrades.
I don't get after so many other videos on this bloke why does he decide too hide his face during this video???
Andy, Erik Loves you very much !!!!!
Bravo 2 zero McNabb left our group in Iraqi blamed a sandstorm we walked out of their proxy coyntry
He doesn’t show his face to protect those he worked with in the det
nice listening to this, then seeing 'are tough enough' for the sas. You've fuckin have to have it now. oohh err. Just walking past the recruitment centre in England could make you shit yourself.

Could not hear a word Steve said.
What I do t understand is and it’s on record the RSM 22 SAS said the story was at least 20% true. The follow up documentary the Real Bravo Two zero done by a member of the SAS. Also cast a very large shadow over this account. Veteran of bandit country several tours 🏴

I Deeply Admire the never-say-die & physical & mental toughness of the SAS troops in general..... :) They Havn't got Fibromyalgia /"Chronic Fatigue Syndrome",as I & approx 250,000 others in the UK Have,But they would be able to cope admirably IF they had.... :)

Isnt McNab a fake?

Jack Reaper Ii don't understand how andy Mcnab is a fake since there are photo's of him in the military and people who served with him
***** I dont want to hear about your childhood thanks...
***** You must be from Uruguay, because it sounds like 'you are gay'.
Despite all he did prior to B20, he needs to acknowledge that the mission failed because of his failings. Slating dead men to embellish yourself is poor conduct.
I watched the documentary about the real story , and as far as I'm concerned
McNab is a disgrace
