Looks so delicious and seems easy enough to make. Thanks for sharing! 😊
My pleasure 😊
As a kid i lived in southern france. And my job was to make the pesto just like this. Haha and its the only way i like pesto.
Only pesto or also pistou ?
@zanizone3617 pistou as well. Its gotta be fresh and made simply like this. No food processors. Its just the best. I prefer pistou to pesto myself. Very fresh
Jessi is so lucky to have you around!! That looks delizioso!!!
Grazie mille
Nothing better than fresh homemade food.
yes
That Pesto looks fantastic
I guess it was a 10 of the 10.
esatto

Looks delicious and is so easy to make yourself!! I think I definitely need to get a larger mortar and pestle... mine is tiny. Thank you for teaching us how to make authentic Italian recipes!!
Thank you for showing us how to make pesto! ❤
There is nothing like fresh pesto. Grazie a tutti!
Hai fatto bravo! Manca soltanto il pecorino e sarà perfetto!
🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🤍🤎
That looks delicious.
grazie mille
I will make it this way next time, Alessio!!
I love you guys!
My favorite!
Yay! Another recipe! 🎉❤
Do you toast the pine-nuts?
nope
This looks amazingggg i would love to make it myself!!! Do you have any idea how mutch grams you use of each (mostly the pinenuts and basil)?????
Also do you have a recepi for a pasta carbonara???
Looks so fresh! Might it be possible to include the actual quantities you use please?
Delicious!!! I add parsley to mine. 😋😋😋
I do too. True pesto has just a bit. Cilantro pesto is delicious too
YUMMMMM!! 😍😍
Which mortar & pestle is that? I really want to buy one.
10 of the 10
Can you please try Marshmallows from the Marshmallow Co ? ( they also have a fairy bread flavor) BTW that looks really really good!!🙂🙂
Oh yeah, if you haven't had fresh for a while it's surprising how good it is.
Bravo! Ma sei di Genova?
Ti mancava solo il pestello in legno ma immagino sia difficile da trovare lì.
Opzionale l'aggiunta del pecorino fiore sardo.
He seems so happy on these cooking and tasting videos. Never made it in a mortar..always a blender , not anymore . Good to know grazie
You can use the blender. Just add ice cubes while blending. The problem with the blender is just that the attrition creates heat that "cooks" the basil essential oils. The ice will counteract that. And you'd need to add water anyway to the pesto, later, can as well be then.
@@zanizone3617is it true that the heat and the "cooking" of basil can add a bitter note?
Have you ever tried putting a tiny bit of lemon juice in your pesto? I did on a whim one time and everyone loved it.
Would love to see how Alessio makes spaghetti, or any kind of pasta really.
I love how he loads up his fork 😂❤
Yummy!
😋
❤❤❤
Was curious to see how the basil leaves would blend in once he first added them... but they edited that part out
You guys need to collaborate with The Pasta Queen.. It would be so great ❤
I think they did. Or maybe it was a different couple. But the guy was Italian and the girl was American. On Pasta Queen channel.
I use sunflower seeds instead of pine nuts, taste the same and a lot cheaper.
Wish I could make this but my mom is allergic to nuts so I never get to make homemade pesto!
Can his mortar be any smaller? 😅
It’s crazy how expensive pignoli is right now. Here in Brooklyn, NY, a pound of pignoli cookies from the bakery are $60! Ouch!
Walnuts are also good
@@Carla.... 100%… I can get Pignoli nuts for $15-$20 per pound - but the bakeries here are killing us with the price of the pignoli cookies. 😡
Dude they sell the pignolli nuts like cocaine in little 1 ounce Ziploc bags there for 20 bucks probably more..def Whole Foods or Steinway for sure over 20 bucks
@@cherrylyntidwell8886 lol
The finger tap of confirmation 😅
I would not use salt and instead use more freshly grated parmezan cheese and toast the pinenuts.
Why subtitles??? I speak Italian but even if not he is perfectly understandable
Call me crazy 😂
Damn it. It’s 22:03 and now I am hungry 😠 Damn it. We have the ingredients 😠
😂
I always butter my pasta before adding the pesto. A kical Italian Nonno is famous for the frozen pesto he sells. It includes butter. But I prefer my butter in the pasta
You didn’t toast the Pine Nuts? WTF
How dare he
He is so critical of everyone else every now and then a little slap on the back of the head is warranted at times. Although I will admit his appreciation for American cuisine has improved considerably since his debut.
É molto lontano il Friuli da Genoa , si nota😂😂😂😂
Eh guys….
Why not roasting the pine nuts, I like the taste so much better roasted…
That's like essential I didn't even realize he forgot that
The videos without Jessi aren't worth watching.
