    Thank you for making this video. I'm at 58k and already sweating on whether there's going to be any major damages to be expected. Watching you ride relatively aggressively also gives me the confidence that the xr gen 1 is really a reliable bike. Cheers mate!

    Thanks for the terrific series on the XR!
    Last year I bought a 2018 model with only 4000 km on the clock. I'm in my 70's and have been riding since I was in my early twenties. I've owned dozens of bikes over the years and the XR still makes me squeal like a kid when I twist the grip. I don't think I've ever owned a bike that I've enjoyed so much and just hope that I last long enough to match your 113,000 km...

    Hi OTR,
    ***Thank You***
    Very informative series 👍. My XR is running perfectly as well and she’s about to clock up 80k.
    My only concern at the moment is the stator. I sometimes feel that it’s a ticking bomb just waiting to fail as other reviews have mentioned the same issue at high kilometres.
    I’ll obviously get it replaced when the time comes l

    It's nice to hear your experiences and get the part numbers. It would be great if you had videos of the actual maintenance procedures you performed.
    I recently had a minor accident on loose gravel & am replacing the side panels. I am having a bit of difficulty getting the metal clips seated, and am looking for a video to show me the tricks of it. It's surprising how many clips and screws hold the panels onto the bike.

      @OneTwoRider  Год назад +2

      @@stanislavtchipov Thanks a lot, bro! It does not require any electronical intervention (like some GS models), everything is done strictly manually, as on old motorcycles. That's what I meant by an easy job. However, Robert was also right when said that my explanation is over simplified, since I wasn't aiming for details. But I explained the basic principle of brake fluid change (2 persons can do front brakes in only 5-10 minutes). Cheers!

    • @robertwilary7142

      @@stanislavtchipov more along the lines of pushing caliper pistons in or the like...abs activation isnt compulsory but wouldnt hurt. May be obvious but using brake fluid which has a proper seal on bottle not just the cap and whatever is under the cap is a good idea too but thats not xr specific per se.
