I bought one yesterday. The plan is to use it on 3" thick foam board. Wish me luck.

Cool video ! Thank you ! Just bought one to cut Styrofoam....havent used it yet , but it should do the trick. Will definitely help keep the little " crumbs " from getting everywhere. Thanks again....

This is helpful, the instruction manual gave no info. on what heat setting to use to cut different materials. I bought this to cut poly web for upholstery.

Is there any way to know when the knife is heated up? i.e. does the LED go off when it's at target temp?

    Can it cut plastic?

I believe that it could, although I have not tried it yet. It would depend on the plastic you are trying to cut. Factors would be like thickness of the plastic and type of plastic. You may just need to adjust the heat setting and you should be able to get it to cut the plastic, not sure how good or nice of a cut it would be but some finishing work would clean up the cut.

How well does it cut butter? Is the saying true?

LOL, Interesting, I never tested that. I would think it would be no problem. Maybe I will have to try it. Thanks for the idea.
