I had E89 for 3 years, i never had any problem with this car u mentioned in video. It's interesting after watched your video it's look E89 is trash. But maybe depends from piece from piece. For me E89 is nice car without problems.

No way the E89 is trash! I have had two (2009, 2014) and they are great cars and a lot of fun.
Just like any car, there are issues to look out for and hopefully anyone who wants to buy one can check it over to make sure they get a good one like the one you had. Thank you for watching! 👍

Love mine as well, had a 2009 35i in Deep Sea Blue Metallic and upgraded to a 2014 35is after the LCI changes. It’s not perfect, but it is so fun to cruise around in and putting the top down never gets old! 😄

You're too easily offended. Common fault doesn't mean most will have issues, it simply means there will be a pattern of faults, so paying extra attention to said parts helps.
All mechanical parts have a wear life and require looking after. Same goes for anything exposed to the elements.
Also there were a lot of firsts for BMW on the e89. I have a 2015 35is. most common issues were addressed by 2014, but still, any 10yr old car needs regular care.
On my car, the previous owner changed the shocks and rocker cover, and now the display mechanism is playing up, but these things are expected.
It's a lovely car and will be keeping it for many more years

I have 2, one 2009, other 2011. I love both. Each one has it's own personality and problems, but they are bests!

You have great taste! I had a 2009 as well, but upgraded to a 2014 because of some of the nice mid model refresh upgrades. Way more good things than bad things about the Z4, for sure! 👍

Water gets into tail lights from the rear. The light manufacture used wrong rubber, plus crap design. The boot lid has faulty wiring from factory. BMW should of called back but hasn't. Water can get into the ebrake motors.

Thanks for the contributions! I think BMW would have done a little more about some of these issues if the Z4 was a higher-volume model like a 3-series, but alas we’re stuck with issues that remain unfixed…

The fact that you have put a dog in the car, makes me not want to view your view.

not a supportive comment and purely an opinion as many other car enthusiasts also love dogs and enjoy dogs being in their car
