Hello, this thermometer is not suitable for measuring body temperature. IR thermometers that are suitable for human use can be viewed here: www.instrumentchoice.com.au/instrument-choice/meters/environment-meters/ir-thermometers/forehead-thermometer
The explanation in the video is backwards. The "trig" setting should be set to "on" for the power saving mode (shuts off after appx 10 minutes of continuous use). It should be set to "off" for continuous measurements > 10 minutes.
The C/F unit setting is after the emissivity setting and before the trig selection setting. If you are unsure of the order, the unit change steps starts at 2:29 of the video.
Hi Chung, Thank you for your enquiry, on the Fluke 62 it will give a low battery warning alert in the top right of the screen. When that is displayed you will need to looking at replacing batteries.
Hi Benefits4all, thanks for your query. The Fluke 62-Max-IR is designed to measure surface temperatures, while you can use this to measure the surface temperature of a fridge. If you are looking for the internal air temperature of a fridge and more accuracy a probe that measures air temperature may be more suitable.

Absolutely. If she poked her chest out on me, I'd slap a darn medal fair on it!
Thank you very much for explaining the device to me! Fluke’s manual and their videos and the other four videos I found on youtube failed to do so.
Excellent presentation what you would expect from Fluke...awesome stuff...thank you
Thank you you saved me so much headache
Great to hear.
Very nicely done. Thank you.
What should be the value of emissivity to be set for measuring general body temperature for example fever?

Pretty annoying that the manual does not actually describe what that "trig" setting changes. Thanks for clearing that up

why my fluke 62 max plus dont show the C/F° selection??

Why does my fluke not save any of my preferences? I change to what I want, then the second I pull the trigger, everything goes back to factory
Hi dslthug, thank you for your question, on this, is this occurring with brand new batteries? When was the unit purchased from us?
my fluke 62max cannot measure >60 °C what's problem?
Hi thanks for your comment. Can you please confirm the type of surface you are trying to measure the temperature of?
I want to check the remaining battery level of the device
