I've stopped flying and buying modules for DCS a couple of years ago. Currently only a real dynamic campaign like BMS or the Eurofighter can bring me back
I have been saying the same thing, DCS needs civil aircraft also and they have un upside over MSFS. They have shared cockpit working and MSFS does not. In DCS you could actually fly a cessna 150 or a 747 with friends or a real instructor while you cannot in msfs.

@RV6Pilot I see it as part of a dynamic campaign. A recon perhaps to follow the main strike to gather Intel. Falcon Bms has this. Leaps ahead of its time. That Intel then gets added to the collective Intel on the state of the campaign.

I would like a better ATC with ground, tower, departure and arrival freqs. Also, ground crew marshaling for takeoff and landing when assigned a specific spot upon landing. Maybe even in-flight emergency vehicles spawning with damaged AC (I've made my own with triggers, but it is a pain.
Dynamic campaign, replay system, new game engine (like the Unreal engine), ATC maybe. Please no world map, MSFS is a mess at helicopter flight levels away from airports. At least a store credit for the F-15E hangar queen. Realistic ground AI behavior is a big one, at least add fire team formations and be able to group them in platoons and companies.
Your comment on the current state of "replay" system is right on spot. It really need to work what we expect a reply system should do. I think if it was actually what ED said it was used to "debug", I guess why there are so many consistent bugs.
As someone just trying to learn everything that is already in game, I find the lack of a save function very frustrating. I'm still content to enjoy the honeymoon learning the aircraft.
Dynamic Campaign, yes, and they are supposedly working on it, but actually not my top priority (though I am being tempted towards BMS). A lot of what I would like to see revolves around the world itself and Mission Editor. Would love a working ATC system. Ground, Tower, Approach all on their separate frequencies. Approach plates and an ability to take a runway that’s not necessarily in to wind. ATIS, TAF and METAR. Improvements to the dynamic weather system - it works, but uses a whole bunch of meaningless numbers, making it hard to know if you are getting the desired affect. Also, you can choose a high pressure or low pressure system, you can’t add both to the same map. Realistically an overhaul of the ME. Particularly important when scripted missions are the only alternative to a dynamic campaign. Aircraft failures for all modules and I would like to see state saving as an option. ED touts DCS as being the most realistic combat simulator, but while the aircraft are very good, world realism falls short.
Things to fly (Eurofighter and AC-130 are my personal top picks) and things to do (Dynamic campaign and everything the multiplayer servers needs to improve their missions)
Realistic ATC 100% this should be an absolute must have. Also I’m tired of being limited on servers. There should be 100 player count servers available to play a realistic PvE Dynamic War campaign. The way Falcon 4.0 did their theater of war campaigns was just unprecedented. Being limited to only a few community servers or having to build your own missions is just ridiculous. I make my own missions all the time but most people don’t mess with that and shouldn’t have to. Bring us both of those and we’re golden.
Great list. The biggest things for me that weren’t on your list would be better ATC comms in general. The ATC we have now is rudimentary and barely works. “Hold position, hold position.” - I’d love to not have to rely on human air traffic controllers in random MP servers or during custom missions so you could consistently have a realistic radio/comms experience. That’s a big miss for me as someone who got into DCS for the realism side of it and something MSFS is far better equipped on. I’d also like to see the carrier crew and airfield ground crews updated. They’re half non existent (I’ve seen the crew chief mod) and I think this also lacks with respect to start up and taxi experience feeling more real rather than people going wherever whenever when they’re flying. Given that would happen anyways I’m sure but this would still be a great addition.
Depends on the time period you are referring to. Korea: Mig-15 have it Vietnam: Mig-21, Mig-15, Mig-19, Mi-8 have it Cold War: Mig-29 inbound Mig-19, Mig-21 have it a few variants missing Modern Day: tough to get permission on Soviet aircraft for full fidelity modules but currently have them in FC versions. I do not disagree it would be nice to see more, but expectations of ED should limited to what we know they can actually achieve legally. Being former military, this is why the U.S. military is so good, we do spam them in real life with technology. The fighters they have that can compete with ours will never be in DCS and should not be expected
I prefer that ED completes the existing F16, F15E, and the Apache. Add more maps, and fix the current ones. Have a better VR immersion and easier VR controls like a note pad that gets location information from the F10 map,
Mission Editor has been ignored in comparison to the other advances in DCS. The same old static and AI objects and effects are limiting our creativity. We need many more human figures with limited movements ( like some of the carrier personnel) ,WW2 objects included. We need access to all static objects which ED have in their map scenery. The Effects available in the ME have never been developed to their full potential. The unrealistic behaviour of Trains and other AI objects has not been addressed. The M.E. Trigger conditions and actions need additional features. Surely these improvements are well within the abilities of ED. Come on, ED - give us Mission builders a 2025 New Years’ update.
That all the liveries are visible for everyone without the need to load in your locally database. Probably hard to do, but not impossible i think. So a DCS databse with all the liveries worked out global. So you can recognise all those magnificent beautifull liveries in flight and be amazed from which country and squadron the pilot is originated.
I have a couple of opinions so please allow me to go on a little of a rant :) 1.- DCS NEEDS a new game engine! I’m not sure which game engine DCS uses but it is soooooo outdated! Literally most of their time goes to trying to optimize the game. They should instead look for a new game engine to which they can pass all their assets into and allows for an accurate airflow/flight and weapons simulation. 2.- ED needs to expand themselves and change the marketing of the game. If ED embarks on a huge marketing campaign showcasing the game to a more broad audience then hopefully they are able to grow a lot more. I envision DCS as a triple AAA game and I am not sure why ED doesn’t want to do the same. Perhaps, showcasing the game not as a plane sim but as a fun recreation of combat will be better for them which is what they should focus on since the game is literally called Digital Combat Simulator. And if ED were able to hire more computer engineers to work closely with their module makers then the game would find itself on a WAY better state than it is now.
Interesting wishlist. Dynamic campaign is being worked on, as you probably know. I do have to say, your virtual camera work is completely AMAZING. The effort you've put in in shot selection really shows. Many thanks for all the time you spend doing that, I know how long it can take. I've subbed to the channel for future goodness :)
AI improvements, including integrated air defence systems, AI ground behaviour improvements, finding and firing from advantageous positions, convoys scattering and fleeing when engaged, engaging each other more effectively, actual infantry battles happening on the ground. Would give so much more to do than “bomb stationary ground vehicle repeat x1000
All of which would also be necessary groundwork for a good dynamic campaign. Part of what makes flying Cliffs of Dover/Desert War Tobruk so fun is the scale and size of the missions and the ground battles going on while you fly the mission.
Indeed, I did think about that, but I had already done a video on the issue. I also am mindful to not get too involved with the details too. But yes, I guess for us all, it certainly is a wish that things get resolved.
A more coherent World War II set of planes and models, with il2 moving towards the korean war i think dcs has a good chance to give the ww2 crowd somewhere to go.
Even though I am not sure why you would want to - I dont think that would be difficult to do. If there's enough people who want it. Already have the slider for the internal so yeah.... easy enough.
@@cptmrcalm For example. P-51D has 3 fuel tanks. The default loadout is full wing tanks and empty fuselage tank. It equals to around 67% of fuel load. But Make the separate slider for it or at least something like fuel load indicator would make it more clear. Because with one slider only it is trial by error.
@@cptmrcalm Or next case with the L-39C. It is often used with empty wing tips tank. Again I have to use trial by error to find which value equals to empty wing tip fuel tanks. Some visualisation or separate sliders would solve this issue. I would also welcome the fuel weight information. Like it is in the mission editor. BF-109K - I would like to be able to select between MW-50 or axualiary fuel from the loadout menu.
We need an actual REDFOR aircraft that is a peer to the modern BLUFOR aircraft currently available in DCS. And an actual REDFOR Fox 3 missile like an actual functioning R-77-1. I know the SD-10 is available but the JF-17 is not a real peer aircraft against the Hornet or the Viper. As is DCS is destined to become a PVE game and that is sad.
Really looking forward to the dynamic campaign, and the supposed release of the c-130 at some point. Other than that, yea i agree with your points. It would be cool to have player based awacs, and better ATC or playerbased ATC the mission editor itself is lacking, yea. I keep accidently doing edits, and the undo functionality not existing is really annoying.... having to test the mission to see if everything works, that's fair, would be nice to have a debug functionality, but for me that wouldnt be something i REAAAAAAAAAALLY need as i generally dont make scripted missions. Data cardridge would be great, even if i dont play with other people most of the time, i can really see the appeal for multiplayer users. As for track files, yea...they are relatively terrible sadly. I m not a content creator myself, but i tried to make a few videos so far, and it is just cancerous to use the track files sadly....sometimes the missiles even miss for whatever reason in the trackfile, and suddenly the whole track becomes and alternate universe where the target is still alive and suddenly guns you down
my tagname is guitargamery and i have speaking of these points for years now brother, i agree 100%, i have dozens of friends that wouldn't jump to DCS because DCS dont have these bigger planes, ED isnt actually being that smart, they would see a flood of new players-pilots if they add an flyable awacs, c-17 or even C5 that would be epic to have in missions, a better progression career ...dcs is missing some crucial points, not just more jets and more jets, track file would be something so important as well.
Coolest clickbait I ever saw! 😂 Subscribed. 😊 5. Needs a world map then. Wish comes up from time to time in the forum. 4. Well, we all wish this. Has it's own sub thread. 3. DTC are in the works for the F-16. Mentioned in last newsletter I think. 2. DC we know is in the works. For a long time. Who knows when. 1. Save feature is also in the works, I have a feeling it will tie into a replay system. 2 of 5 for sure ain't so bad. 😉 0. My wish. I'm 52, could you take the music down a couple of clicks, so I can hear you better. 🙏🏻 Enjoyed this! Cya!
Love flying the jets and all, but I feel DCS lacks a bit when it comes to the WW2 scenario. Know some planes are on the way and perhaps even carriers. I would love to see a WW2 bomber with multicrew capability, that would be quite high on my wish list.
Hahaha.. you know, I did think about changing that bit - but I do that all the time. Call hospitals ambulances and fire departments fire engines etc.. my silly sense of humour.
Although it would be nice to have bigger aircraft like the B52... Well, the maps are way too small for those. B52 has a unrefueled(!) reach of 8.800 nm. It would be highly unrealistic to have them taking of 250 nm away from the target. So for me it´s also the dynamic campaign and a working and usefull ATC system. And all what helps to feel the world to be more alive. For example in Prepar3D or MSFS you can use real time weather and real time traffic. If you put your plane for 20 days everyday at the same parking spot, you will never have the same situation. Start the same DCS mission for 20 times... Always the same QNH, same weather, same 2 F-16´s taking off and the same Hornets busting through the airports control zone in the most illegal way, just so the player sees something moving at all. It feels scripted. Because it is.
The first should be to fix the damn stuttering when using a module, and stop pretending that I have to invest $800 in a graphics card and processor every time a major update comes out!
1st, Dynamic Campaign with multiplayer We need this. I adore DCS, but it's too repetitive, even on Gray Flag. 2nd, the world map. You'll never bridge the gap to MSFS players without the ability to fly your favorite jet over your house or land it in a ridiculous way in the Congo. You also need it for dynamic campaigns as being able to push the AI or even a PVP campaign to the oppositions country will absolutely change the game and take this game from one of the greats to the G. O. A. T. 3rd, OPTOMIZE THE GAME!! If you can fly 90% of the games out there on a potato computer, you shouldn't need a NASA grade computer to run this in decent graphical settings, let alone max graphics. Lastly and most importantly, Eagle Dynamics NEEDS to take care of their developers. They have two studios who contribute the most to our maps and modules and one of them is darn near on fire because of the way things have been handled. You'll have no game in a few years if you loose the developers (and by extent the community) to their inability to bite the bullet and compromise for the sim we all adore. You do theses things, and I can assure you the community will not only flourish, but blossom into a whole new level that will put the money the make now to shame with what they will be bringing in. So far as modules go, all I could really ask for is the Eurofighter, and a C-17. If your doing a massive dynamic campaign on a world map, your gonna need to transport a lotta stuff and the herc just isn't gonna cut it. Oh, and fix the KC-135 MPRS. Kinda need the tanker support too. Cheers lads and lasses
I personally don't think we will ever see a "world map" - or at least for a very very long time. Microsoft is able to do that because it "owns" (might be some leasing, or part ownership etc) satellite tech to get the terrain data. ED, successful though it maybe, can't find that sort of money. Maybe - just MAYBE there could be some deal made that allows ED to get access to terrain data from Google or MS, but you have to think about servers too. The streaming of terrain data means server farms etc.. - I just think its all far too big. I want to be wrong. I truly do, but I don't see us getting that.
We only need 3 things: 1) Bell UH-1 Huey Cobra 2) Much, much lower DLC prices and regional pricing on Steam 3) Dynamic campaign - meh, if we have good FREE single-player campaigns I don't care.
Cobra i'm sure will come. I dont think we'll ever see the lowering of prices, but I guess you have to keep a look out for sales. Dynamic Campaign is a bit like first person shooters vs RPG. Some people don't need to feel that roll playing element - being part of something and contributing towards it and seeing their efforts effect other flights and ground forces. If we had it though, they would be pleasing a lot of those that do.
By gen 5 you mean F22/F35 etc? I am not sure anyone can quite yet. I would assume the data on those aircraft would be classified still. Data for most 4th gen jets is more widely available hence, I think, the concentration in those areas. Full fidelity (meaning, physical characteristics) is widely accepted as being pretty close to the real thing in DCS right now. But don't take my word for it - other RUclipsrs (ex fighter pilots) can testify to this.
Dynamic campaign and data cartridge. Without a dynamic campaign this games always felt hollow and purposeless. Even total air war had a campaign. 25 years ago. lol. Falcons the gold standard. DCS is just prettier. I’d pay full price for a dynamic campaign module , so sell me it! lol.
Waited so long for the f-15e and now this nonsense. Still playable, but damn shame all the features won't be added. Razbam and E.D really messed this one up.
Was interested in your opinions. The background music is much too loud to focus on your words though, tbh I don't think it was necessary to be added at all and doesn't add any value to your video

Given that would happen anyways I’m sure but this would still be a great addition.
we need planes for red side, there are a lot of blue planes with weapons that are way better than red ones, it's getting boring.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s just spamram and pay to win currently.
I couldn’t agree more!
If we actually got GA, civillian and other aircraft types in DCS that would be soooo goood.
2:10 - skip intro
More cold war Soviet jets! SU-15, MIG-25, TU-28, MIG-31, MIG-27, Yak-38!
I have a couple of opinions so please allow me to go on a little of a rant :)
1.- DCS NEEDS a new game engine!
You may well be right. Who knows... with these rumours of vulcan who knows. They've migrated to multithreaded so maybe?
Interesting wishlist. Dynamic campaign is being worked on, as you probably know. I do have to say, your virtual camera work is completely AMAZING. The effort you've put in in shot selection really shows. Many thanks for all the time you spend doing that, I know how long it can take. I've subbed to the channel for future goodness :)
Wow thank you! It was actually from a previous video as background "noise". But thank you very much! Appreciate that.
Notice you didn't talk about the F15E and DCS should resolve that issue or can the program.
The long anticipated C130J, and it will be released with full functionality integrated, just like the Kiowa.
No 1. - Save game feature
A save game feature would be nice in single player missions!
Hope the Sniper Pod comes soon
Sparrows for f16
How about a helmet visor that works!
Infantry inside buildings can shoot
Razbam…. That is all
I would like to see better fuel/fluids load management. For some aircrafts it would be good idea to have separate slider for each fuel tank.
@@blackhawk7084 no, it's not sad if dcs becomes a pve game, I only play single player and I would really like ED to improve dcs' pve features.
Throw my ring into the hat 😂😂
1. F-15E back to normal developement.
Really looking forward to the dynamic campaign, and the supposed release of the c-130 at some point.
Other than that, yea i agree with your points.
It would be cool to have player based awacs, and better ATC or playerbased ATC
the mission editor itself is lacking, yea.
Definitely!
Coolest clickbait I ever saw! 😂 Subscribed. 😊
0. My wish. I'm 52, could you take the music down a couple of clicks, so I can hear you better. 🙏🏻
Enjoyed this! Cya!
Righto. Noted. And thanks for the sub!
Love flying the jets and all, but I feel DCS lacks a bit when it comes to the WW2 scenario. Know some planes are on the way and perhaps even carriers. I would love to see a WW2 bomber with multicrew capability, that would be quite high on my wish list.
Improved replay...
Absolutely!!! +1000
Growler. A proper EW aircraft
“Save me” is the 1️⃣
The number 1 thing you mentioned is the track file problems.
Oh my - I wanted to lay it on even thicker than I did! I am desperate for that! As I say - DAYS of time saved. Not hours - DAYS!
dynamic campaign
F-16 DTC, Dynamic Campaign, ATC similar to BMS.
First thing we need is ED to pay Razbam, then we can talk !
Ring in the hat 😂 😂 😂
Hahaha.. you know, I did think about changing that bit - but I do that all the time.
DC and ATC...
1 one for my is a mode stand alone JAS 39C Gripen 2:0
Please turn down the music in future videos. It’s hard to hear what you’re saying sometimes.
Will do
The first should be to fix the damn stuttering when using a module, and stop pretending that I have to invest $800 in a graphics card and processor every time a major update comes out!
Southeast Asia
We only need 3 things:
1) Bell UH-1 Huey Cobra
2) Much, much lower DLC prices and regional pricing on Steam
3) Dynamic campaign - meh, if we have good FREE single-player campaigns I don't care.
How come Microsoft fight sim could model full fidelity gen 5 jets and DCS cant
By gen 5 you mean F22/F35 etc? I am not sure anyone can quite yet. I would assume the data on those aircraft would be classified still. Data for most 4th gen jets is more widely available hence, I think, the concentration in those areas. Full fidelity (meaning, physical characteristics) is widely accepted as being pretty close to the real thing in DCS right now. But don't take my word for it - other RUclipsrs (ex fighter pilots) can testify to this.
Fix the damn free mod issue
Redo the textures on Russian naval units.
Dynamic campaign and data cartridge. Without a dynamic campaign this games always felt hollow and purposeless. Even total air war had a campaign. 25 years ago. lol. Falcons the gold standard. DCS is just prettier. I’d pay full price for a dynamic campaign module , so sell me it! lol.
Skip to 2:15 minutes for where the blah blah ends and the meaningful content starts.
I just want the F-15 Strike eagle to work again, I really liked that jet. I paid $70 for a plane I can't use anymore.
I think it will still work with what it has -but yes, it might not get any more developments.
Waited so long for the f-15e and now this nonsense. Still playable, but damn shame all the features won't be added. Razbam and E.D really messed this one up.
@@pranteranaud3617 and we pay the price :/
Was interested in your opinions.
The background music is much too loud to focus on your words though, tbh I don't think it was necessary to be added at all and doesn't add any value to your video
@@go_rongor5975 Righto. I need to account for peoples different sound systems - it sounds ok on my system, but I will bear that in mind. Knock it down a touch. Thanks.
Typhoon or rafale full fidelity !!!!! For heavens sake
ED PAY RAZBAM
turn the music offfffffffff
I really had a hard time listening to you because of the music. Music isn't needed or desired when your speaking.
