My favorite barbershop quartet singing my favorite song from my favorite musical is perfection!
Jakobs voice is so angelic, incredible work as usual you handsome talents!!
Easily the best quartet of all time!! I had the privilege of meet them in italy during a choir competition in 2008 and singing tags with them and my quartet for a couple of days. They are the nicest guys you'll ever meet and holy crap, the talent!
Ringmasters love their songs adapted from Victor Hugo novels
Ringmasters' rich sound never disappoints 😄
That opt up on "you can take" at 2:48! All of it stunning, per usual.
I love these guys. They’re wonderful artists and I hate to hear any criticism of their music. It’s gives so much pleasure to so many people. Can’t we listen to and enjoy??
That key change … world class!
There are some absolutely beautiful bass and bari locks in this piece. You guys nailed it. And, I must say, the audio engineering here is top notch.
I am in awe. You continue to stun me each and every time. Gorgeous. Beautiful arrangement and masterfully performed. I want to be like you guys when I grow up. (I'm 66!)
Thank you. Blessings from Kansas~
this some good shit fr i keep coming back
Wonderfully disciplined singing. No pitch correction that I can hear - just the natural acoustic of the church and some excellent clean sound engineering. Ringmasters remains the gold standard: châpeau!
pitch correction would be more of a hindrance than a help in barbershop because barbershop uses pure tuning not equal temperament
Pitch correction would drain the life out of Barbershop. The chords rely on the baritone in particular being able to tune the chords. That means tuning in increments too small to hear directly. What is heard is the resultant notes, which is how 4 voices seem to produce 5 or 6 notes.
Amazing! And I loved the key change :)
Was not expecting that key change! 😱❤
Absolutely wonderful ❤😊❤🎉
That space must have been so nice to sing in too
That is absolutely astounding. I dont know how, but every time i hear another piece you do you raise the bar. Out of this world.
Die Harmonie eurer Stimmen lässt mich immer mit einer Gänsehaut und einem wunderbaren Gefühl von Glück zurück. Danke dafür!
Between this absolute gem, and the upload of Traumlicht, from @Zero8, I consider this Sunday as a perfect music day! Thanks ❤
What a performance! Hope you will sing this in April in Biberach, Germany ! Cant wait for your live performance.
Sublime 🕊
Ooh, I got the chills after the key change. It was amazing!
Fantastic as always, thank you for your pure skill, such a joy to be able to listen to you like this
Beautiful, gentlemen.
absolutely beautiful
Absolutely beautiful, thanks guys ❤
Absolutely stunning! This is top class music by a top class quartet
Well, that was fabulous! DA
I don't know why I assumed these guys were from Texas - Gather at the River convinced me these guys were Baptists!
Breathtaking
You guys are amazing!!!
That key chance is gratuitous, I love it!
Absolutely gorgeous, like always. There's a reason why you guys are some of the best!
Great arrangement, great key change, great singing, (as usual ). Love you guys!
Just gorgeous!!! More please guys 😊
I genuinely love your artistry. Thank you for sharing.
Another treat! And from my favorite play nonetheless. Great work guys!
What a beautiful singing voice!
this is wonderful. id like 20
Don't know how you do it, but you keep hitting new highs!
3:07 Emanuel on tenor? 👏🏼 Jakob killing this solo, as expected!
Yeah, you're right!
Wowiwowow 👌
Beautiful ❤
Jätteskönt!!!!
goddamn im crying
Incredible performance! Is this arrangement available anywhere to purchase?
Wonderful! Did Barnaby or Emanuel mix this? :)
Thanks Joel! Barney!
Can anyone tell where the key change came from?
The Gods
David Phelps version!
The Four Tenors!!
Probably the 25th anniversary of Les Miserables special version, starring 4 Jean Valjeans! Alfie Boe took the high part, but that version lowered the key at "Let him live."
The third circle of heaven!
Does Emanuel switch to tenor at 3:03?
ye
Is it me or their baritone Emmanuel Roll doesn't age?!?! He still looks the same when they won their gold medal! LOL
a 9th overtone on the last chord?!?!?!?!
Why most comments cannot be seen??
Probably some setting that you can change. Try switching from "top comments" first to "latest" or something like that.
Hatten av Jacke! Hatten av...
Great singing as per usual, but the arrangement feels kinda "off" for this music style. Not a great barbershop theme, imho.
I have been thinking the same thing.
agreed. the solo needs warmth from vibrato.
@@khyrandthe solo is almost totally done in chest voice and certainly has enough warmth and vibrato, you try it before you criticise.
There's no rule that says barbershop quartets can only sing barbershop music.
@@dancalkins97 and, if you read me correctly, I didn't say that. I just feel the kind of chords required for the barbershop "style" don't quite fit the melody of this particular song - which is only my opinion.
Obviously, you can sing whatever you want in whatever style you wish - there are just themes that are better than others (and it's also very subjective)
