The more things change, the more they stay the same. A (cough) few years on and they've still got it. Having two leads and two tenors in the same quartet is always handy too! Thanks to the Alexandria Harmonizers for getting all this talent together!
Did they sharp the Bells tag? My goodness that was high. And they all realized pretty quickly and sped the tag along so Jakob wouldn't perish on the spot.
Yep! Original key should be E and A, but they sharped a bit here so it's essentially F and B♭. I somewhat like the tags sharped though - especially in "Out There" - to me, the sharped keys carry a brighter, more hopeful colour than the original. One interesting thing I've noticed is that they seem to have a tendency to sharp during "Out There". This recording, the original, and another one at Walsall (which has an amazing sharped double-tag btw; perhaps one of my favourite recordings of this piece)... they just seem to go all the way to D♭. It's just a matter of if they flat back down ;)
Never thought I'd hear a quartet singing a Raul Malo song - excellent job guys! Rasmus was sublime on the lead and the bell chords were the perfect accompaniment. Who did the arrangement?
Fisrt song didnt feel settled most of the way through, perhaps better live. Loved most of the rest. A mighty fine quartet, one of my favourites, particularly the original line up.

Rasmus I think
Awesome stuff!
I remember a ringmasters video from years back where they said their "ringmasters" problem was that they went flat. Now it seems they go sharp! 😂
I only understood the few words in English, in that Swiss song, but hotdamn was it a fun one to listen to.
It was Swedish, but yes it's great fun
