Q1 Ans ) A speedometer of a vehicle measures the speed.
Q2 Ans ) No , because a particle moving with uniform speed may or may not have uniform velocity.
Q3 Ans ) Speed of the car at the first half = 20 km/h
Speed of the car at the second half = 30 km/h
    Speed = Distance/time

      Q1 and Q2 are correct :)
Answer of Q3 is 24 km/hr. Here is solution:
Let's start with the formula for average speed = total distance / total time
But since the distance is not given in the sum, we can take total distance as 2x.
So 1st half distance is 'x' and 2nd half also is 'x'.
Now to calculate total time …
Total time = time of 1st half + time of 2nd half
      time = distance / speed
      So we get total time = x/20 + x/30.
Now plug in the values in the main formula
      Average speed = 2x / (x/20 + x/30)
      = 2x/ (5x/60)
      = 24 km/hr

1)The speedometer measures the instantaneous speed of the car.
2)The velocity of car will change if it takes turn as direction will change.
    3) Let the distance be x km .
So, time for first half distance= distance/speed
    ( X/2 )/20 hr=x /40 hr
    Time for second half distance = distance /speed=(x/2 )/30 hr =x /60hr
    Total time =x /40 hr + x/60 hr=5x/120 =x/24 hr
    Total distance =x km
    So average speed = total distance/total time = x/(x/24)km/hr =24 km/hr

2)No, the car doesn't has uniform velocity since the direction has changed.
    3) Easy, you find the average speed by applying the simple formula of a sum divided by count. Thus, 25+35= 50 divided by count = 25

    1. The speedometer is designed to measure the instantaneous speed of the vehicles.
    2. No, the car will not have a uniform motion of we will take a turn as uniform motion is the constant velocity and velocity is a vector quantity i.e it requires both magnitude and direction. So if we will take a turn then this will be a case of non uniform motion due to change in direction.

    1) speed of the vehicle
2)no the car does not have constant velocity because velocity means travelling in straight line and when it takes a turn the body goes through acceleration

Sir one doubt here with Q)3
Av speeds = total distance /total time
    = 2x/(x/20)+(x/30)
So don't we take LCM sir??
    Denominator isn't same?
    Please explain me sir 😊

    Top 3 questions answers-
    1) Speedometer of a vehicle measures the speed of the vehicle.
    2) No it does not have uniform velocity because uniform velocity is uniform speed with direction but the direction is changing here.
    3) Let the total distance be x km.
    Therefore, Time (a) = D/S = 1/2 x/ 20 hr.
    Time (b) = D/S = 1/2 x/ 30 hr.
    Therefore= total time = 1/2x/ 20 hr+ 1/2 x/30 hr = x/ 24 hr.
    Therefore average speed= total D/ total S.
    Therefore, x/x/24 km/hr.
Therefore the answer is 24 km/hr.
Sir would you please check my answers?

    3rd Answer is 37.5 kmph
    Let total distance=2x
    Time for ist half= x/20
    Time for 2nd half= x/30
    Now average speed= total distance/ total time= 2x divide by x/20+x/30
    =37.5kmph

    3. Answer 24 km
    Explaination- let distance-x
Then time teken in by 30km / hrs speed =x/30 and x/20 total time taken = x/30+x/20= 5x/60=x/12
    Total distance =x+x=2x
    Average speed =2x/(x/12)=(2x)×(12/x)=24
