    You can easily desolder smd leds using cloth iron.

    I want to use your methods but I'm afraid I'll ruin my keyboard's pcb. Any advice? Maybe larger wattage or..? Oh and maybe how about resoldering new smd leds to the pcb?

    Bro, after desoldering , are the LEDS works ? Or it will be damage ?

  • @SevenDeMagnus
    @SevenDeMagnus 2 года назад +2

    Cool thanks. No wonder I'm having a hard time, lol. It's tough to remove with a soldering rod or SMD hot air station, it melts the LED plastic.

    I like your idea, but I want to desolder from a led strip (TV) the body is plastic, (and I own hot air gun) just for one , do you think that plastic resists to heat somehow ? I think I will use aluminium foil plus the metal tool and give a try . thanks for the tip , and how hot is the iron ? regards

    • @zeetech2024
      @zeetech2024 3 года назад +1

      Don't do it, plastic will surely won't resist the heat...

    • @IsaacOLEG
      @IsaacOLEG 3 года назад

      @@zeetech2024 it worked, protect round with aluminium foil. Une small nozzle and find the good heat . Those plastic resist to some heat because leds are producing much

    • @zeetech2024
      @zeetech2024 3 года назад

      @@IsaacOLEG That's good to know, I thought it would be a flimsy type of plastic that wouldn't resist the heat. Anyways Thanks for sharing your experience...

      @@zeetech2024 Hi it is also not difficult to shorten a led assuming they are serial connected. I could use one smd led element on another strip, soldering it with flux and some tin on the iron
