This is my local store although it’s still a bit of a drive. I love it! I really hope it doesn’t close. Certainly AG needs to keep a location near the National Capital! I was also 10 in 1999. Josefina was the first new doll release I remember. I’m so obsessed with the nostalgia of Nicki and Isabel’s collection.

Two hours is tricky, it's like short enough that it's do-able but long enough that it's a commitment. Glad to hear it sounds like you can make it happen easier when visiting family! The Chicago store is like a 2.5 hour drive for me, but I'm always intimated by the parking there. I was with the McLean store too, but it ended up being a breeze!
I have Steps-High it was a hand-me down from a school classmate of mine same thing happened with Penny(Felicity’s horse) but Penny was gifted to me by my school nurse and her daughter along with several other ag items some I had never seen before like some items from the mid-90’s like the iconic gray wool school jumper from 1996 I think and then Samantha Parkington’s lavender bridesmaid dress from the movie that one I knew right away I should really put it on someone soon maybe I’ll put it on Elizabeth because I don’t have Samantha but Elizabeth does look fabulous in purple.
I could learn so much from you from the years I missed in American Girl! I do love a good mixed box of things, fun way to discover new things. I'll have to check out the lavender Bridesmaids dress, sounds so pretty!
