Wonderful! I co mpletely agree the Moiraine was giving an Aes Sedai answer. I also think that she might have been thinking of ditching everyone else in TV and making her way to Cairhien in secret.

What I found interesting was Verin didn't show any signs of exhaustion after healing Lan and Moraine. Verin is a Brown Ajah, and as you said, healing is not her strength. I remember the Green Ajah who was killed in S1 when Logain broke free from the blocking weave. She was exhausted healing Moraine's Trolloc wound. This wound from the Faceless would've been even more deadly. All I could assume was that a number of days had elapsed after the fight. Verin would've had time to recoup from the energy she used killing the Faceless and healing Lan and Moraine.
that's a great point however, if you remember, Kerene said that it wasn't the healing of one wound that had her exhausted, it was the long daily shifts keeping Logain shielded. Moiraine was the same after the Trolloc battle on Bel Tine - she fought the Trollocs, took a blade herself, threw an entire Inn at them, then spent the morning healing everyone. her hands were shaking as she finished healing Tam, but it wasn't that healing, it was all that she had been doing for 12 hours or so. Healing (according to book metaphysics) takes more energy for the one being Healed, than the one doing the Healing. I do think this scene was the next morning, as Moiraine would have been chafing to get going. I love that I had to sit and rethink it all after reading your comment!
