Hearts of Iron 4 UK Challenge - Surviving the Darkest Hour

What begun in 1939 as the 2nd American Civil War, by December 1941 it became just another chapter in the bigger World War. As the Loyalists opened up the hostilities against the Imperial Commonwealth without any formal declaration of war, the Imperial Federation faced its darkest hour when the combined Russo-Axis forces swept through the former British Raj, which was left undefended. With the frontline in the Middle East and Italy now stagnating, the Federal Commonwealth achieved however its first success by kicking out of Africa (again) the Italo-Portuguese Armies and by collapsing the Loyalist government in Washington. As the Axis however brought more and more troops on the Italian front, the Commonwealth High Command decided that the time has come to open up a third front in continental Europe.
