Teresa McCoy I've actually seen a lot of Sagittarius stuff as purple, enough though the most related stone is blue: Tanzanite (as most Sagittariuses are in December). Not sure why purple is used a lot. I guess Tanzanite is sort of purple-y?
mudkittens Tanzanite must be a modern interpretation, or maybe it's different where you live? (I'm US). I've always known my birthstone to be turquoise.

you will get Tanzanite.
