I'm really glad this guy uploads multiple times a day and wanna thank him honestly. I've got enough entertainment to get through the day when I got nothing to do in my free time because most of the time he will be streaming or I can just check out videos I haven't watched The only problem is I absolutely can't sleep when I watch too many horror games or ghost hunting videos and it's just really sad that I can't support him as much as I want to. Hopefully one day I can get over this psychological part of me :)
If it was originally named House on the Hill and renamed, then it was renamed to not be confused with the board game "Betrayal at Haunted House on the Hill" (great game by the way). If you look up "House on the Hill game" you get Betrayal instead, so it WOULD make sense to change the name for more searches and less confusion.
Whatever the real reason is, it still fits the theme of the game constantly changing with his story. The first title being about his story, and the current one referring to Aiden the author. 😊
56:00 you can actually see the shadow of the ghost across the floor, good job to the devs edit: the really annoying thing about this is how everyone immediately assumes that the dad is the bad guy, even if there is evidence to the contrary. @@stevenhokanson3326That confuses tf out if me. London absolutely has free healthcare so idk why there are bills in this game to begin with. Other than that the story was great.

I think everyone I watched playing this one broke the sequence lol for some reason they always ended up in the basement first! I'm glad you played it, I love rewatching good games. As someone who writes as a hobby, I can say it really captures those moments where you're so into the story that you're living everything that happens through your characters, and those other moments where you are just outright plotting against them, or insulting them because they suddenly kind of "decided" to do something you didn't plan 😂 I was super impressed by the storytelling when I watched it the first time, and I am still impressed by how good it is.

thank you insym for your twice daily uploads and genuine passion for what you do. you really deserve more subscribers and i hope you have a sucessful career in youtube
I really loved how this approached the concept of exploring paths in a story. It hits the nail on the head. I often spend HOURS just thinking about the best path I want to take a certain scene--not actually writing, just thinking about it and the actions and outcomes of those actions--and when something doesn't work, I start back at square one to do it again, differently. Once I find a path I like, I write it. I always wondered if other people approached writing the same way, and it's cool seeing that play out visually in this game. Also, very weird seeing my doctor's name in a horror game...
I love this game so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience this brings! The story line, graphics, and voice acting are so evoking of believable, realistic but still surprising emotions.
Aw, I'm so glad that the algorithm recommended this vid (on a binge, how did I not discover your channel until this year?) Way too few people I've encountered on YT enjoyed this game, it's delightful to see someone genuinely enjoy it and be enthusiastic about the story. Mixing multiple play style mechanics into a short experience to create a longer one is such a good idea from the developer and it's fun to watch someone be happy about the grab bag of that style as well.
I usually don't get impacted by jumpscares but this game seems to do them at the perfect times to where I actually get scared for a half second. It has outlast levels of jumpscares and it's amazing and done so well. This was def a great watch.

right? i feel the same way tbh, to each their own but it's a little odd seeing the story praised almost entirely for the twist when i think it's the weakest part. like i understand the twist, i get it- but imo the whole "burglar is fraught with guilt over causing the deaths of the family whose house he was robbing, descends into madness reliving it and trying/failing to create fake explanations for why they were all secretly horrible people in order to clear his own conscience" thing is far more interesting and comes together in a nice way near the end. not to mention most of the game is spent setting up /that/ storyline, so the author twist, even though it's a more relatable/"human" situation, ends up feeling kinda out of left field and detracting from the pretty compelling story they had going on throughout the entire rest of the game.
