His soulful disco productions went through the roof in our German charts and especially for me, a German who never liked German music.
When I hear e.g. "Good Times", all the great memories from 45 years ago return, which were very good times when I was 15 years old.
The fact that Nile was able to present his classics at the North Sea "Jazz" Festival in the Netherlands and really played his hits with some more elaboration, more funky and jazzy elements also displayed his and his bands bandwidth and really outstanding performance.
His music is timeless and he really knows how to touch people like me, who are more into jazz, funk and soul than into disco.
He is also an amazingly authentic and humble human being, with traits almost no other multi millionaire seems to have.

Chic was one of my very favorite groups. They gave disco depth.

He certainly is...I met him a few times and my son went on stage with Chic. God bless Nile, Bernard, Tony, and Raymond :-)

You know what..I'm a guitar player that played a lot of Chic songs. I didn't look at this group as a disco group..to me they seem like a R n B group that had music in the time of disco.
