Because with my latest Clio RS i also have the same issue that the first one or two launch controls don't really look great in time, but after the tires warmed up it goes properly quick. The means of measurement is also an issue, because unless it's a metronome or from the RS monitor itself it is always 0.2 or 0.3 seconds inaccurate with GPS orientated measuring tools.
Nah stuff that! Defeats the purpose of a stripped down sports vehicle if you had two back seats. 2 seats is perfect for car balance if you had a passenger. It's not the type of car you use everyday. This is purely either a driver enthusiast or track day car. Frankly I like my creature comforts of climate control, sound system and other things this car has been stripped of. The 275 is still a great car without the ugly red rims as the 275R, and packs more for less. It's a no-brainer for me which one I would buy. I'm waiting for the new 2018 shape to arrive which will knock the price of these vehicles at least a few grand. The 275 will be mine come early next yr!! Woot woot!
You probably wouldn't want to use the 5-point belt on the road. They're a huge pain and stop you doing simple things like leaning forward to get a ticket from the barrier at a car park.
While this channel is clearly has a few sponsored videos, I don't think they would post biassed results. VW group is famous for being pessimistic with the performance figures of their cars with many testers recording faster times, more power etc than their official stats.
I was trying to say that the VW group cars are some of the only ones to beat their claimed performance figures no matter which establishments tests them. VW group under estimate their performance and often quote lower power figures than the cars are actually outputting. I personally don't find it at all strange that Auto Express often find VW, Audi, Porsche to be faster than their official stats. I also don't find it strange that the struggling French manufactures are more likely to be on the optimistic side with their figures.
Auto Express I don't doubt the validity of your tests. I'm just getting fed up of seeing people claim your articles are biased based on the few VW sponsored videos.
For only 6kg I'd keep the AC, unless you live somewhere that doesn't get summer - they didn't mention an aluminium hood+fenders, I would've done that instead.
The hood should be in carbon fiber, the same with the roof top! With that they could add the AC, which is a must have in any car nowadays! Other than that, awesome machine from my favorite French car maker!

Please do not delete the A/C this is one thing that is not a good idea on a road going car. All else ++++++ is good carbon roof and doors to make up for the staying in !

And even though you spend 36K on a porsche you will have repairs of a 80K car not a 36K one. Besides comparing 0-100 is even less consistent because Megane RS beats Golf R and many RWD on circuit.On nuburgring circuit, Megane did 7.54 and was faster than Porsche Cayman S 7.55 Ferrari F430 7:55. Caterham R500 1.8L K Series 7:55. BMW M5 etc etc so 0-100 is a bullshit value to compare cars

I love it in general, but I would love it even more if it would have two bucket seats behind as well. Or even a single piece three seat bench.
