Whether or not you consider cyberpunk to be the most visually impressive game that currently exists, you cannot deny that on a technical level it is pretty astonishing.
Only thing that competes is Metro: Exodus.
Technically impressive no can deny that narratively and gameplay wise its not even in top 100.
I deny.@@zfunk
Only very sharp and cubic buildings must improve to normal textures and materials. Not ideal, grey poligons as tower.
Nvidia managed to produce this level of visual fidelity. But AMD manages to unlock frame generation for every card.
Thats crazy. You only get .5 of the promised 3.5.
*Ray Reconstruction and DLSS upscaling WORKS on RTX2000+RTX3000 as well for the unaware ,only frame generation is limited to 4000 Series*
Yeah well without frame generation there is no hope for running the game with my 3070 ti

3 years later and still the best looking game out there, especially with path tracing. And now with ray reconstruction, update 2.0., and the expansion. So excited to dive back to this cyberpunk world even though I've been playing just yesterday lol
How about RDR2 or Sony 1st parties?
Cyberpunk uses a old grafic engine which not optimiz for Raytracing. Play Fort Solis to see waths possible.
Even Games with no Raytracing looks much better as example Atomic Hearth, Mortal Kombat 1, High on Life.

PC Gaming always was about pushing the hardware, since the 90s. I‘m glad that there are still titles like Cyberpunk, that are setting new benchmarks. Of course you need new Hardware to have everything on „ultra“ and that’s fine. There is always the console as an alternative option, having better price/ performance value.

RT is incredible in cyberpunk and DLSS blows me away that it can help so much. Both incredible technology
RT: Lemme bump visual quality by 20%, but lower fps by 50%.
DLSS: lemme bump your fps by 30-40% but lower visual quality by 20%.
FG: Lemme increase your fps 2 times but your visual quality will be worse by 30% and have artifacts.
Nvidia: impressive, isn’t it?
@@funduk29 DLSS at 1440p looks better than native on cyberpunk tbh
@@funduk29 meanwhile AMD: lemme drop your visual quality by 40% and bump your performance up by 30-40% ... impressive isn't it?
@@funduk29 You can't even quantify these things, they're subjective. I'd rather play at 1080p resolution output with path tracing than at 4K with raster lighting at this point.
I am tired of seeing the screen-space reflection artifacts, the weird ambient occlusion artifacts, the shadow maps breaking down all the time, the screen-space shadows filling in, the flat lighting... I could go on.
@@funduk29 Ray tracing doen't really make sense, but path tracing changes visuals completely. Especially in closed and cluttered spaces. DLSS in quality mode always improves visuals. Even 1080p with DLSS Q looks better then native for me in most games. There are few bad implementations but still pretty rare. I didn't use FG because of RTX4000 bullshit but heard pretty much only good things about it if your baseline fps is around 60. Artifacts are rather unnoticable as long as you just play and don't stare on pixels like maniac and there is literally no quality worsen like that. Don't spread info that's not true
Can't wait to start a new campaign and revisit this game with dlss 3.5!

This is incredible. Not only it enhances the graphics drasticly but even the framerate. It's almost black magic.
They should clarify that it mostly runs the same, but enhances or reduces fps in some scenarios. It could really use it for its RTGI.

They **did** do just that when DLSS 3.5 was announced, look at the video with Bryan Catanzaro. What on Earth are you talking about "they should"?

You can call me crazy but cyberpunk far more graphically great and well optimizations from devs compare to Bethesda latest games you know i wont mention it otherwise i got cancel by their fans
This is the first triple-A game I've bought in 4 years, purchased last week when I learned of the impending 2.0 update.
My 2070 Super plays it just fine at 1080p even with the basic ray tracing in most areas. But it let me turn on the path tracing... unplayable but wow what a difference! The game looks amazing still without it, but turning it on gives every object a look of physical presence and bulk that is hard to put into words. Screenshots and even videos don't capture the experience of actually playing with this technology. I'm all in on it now, 4090 gets here tomorrow and I'm stoked for the even better visuals of the update with DLSS 3.5.
I'm so happy the devs made good on this game's initial promise, and equally so that they implemented the incredible nVidia ray tracing tech that is only on PC. The artistic style, flavor, asset quality, and raytraced lighting create an astounding visual experience.
Oh, and the game is quite compelling and fun from the little I've allowed myself to play before the update. The few remaining naysayers are wrong.

This should play nice with my 4080 cant wait!
I'm so sad because as a 1080p screen user I can't use DLSS without having imperfections on the screen, but it looks so impressive!!
don't worry imperfections also exists with 1440p and 4k (especially in framegen mode_
Well then you can always use DLAA which runs the game at 1080p and will provide better image quality than TAA with maybe a 1-2% performance difference
You can also use dldsr at 2K or 4K to get some visual quality
I am also 1080p for now, if u have 40 series I recommend running no DLSS and turning on frame generation and DLAA, gives near native quality with stable high frames.
Or u can upscale then downscale with DL DSR, but that hurts frames more than it helps in my opinion.
@@bellehookI think it's more than 2% performance loss with DLAA and also seems buggy in the games i tried it. DLLS is superior imo from all POV's.
the reflections are so good that i can see myself
You guys really need to take a deep dive into 3D Gaussian Splattering rendering tech and try to generate and train those Gaussians from 3D Poly Scenes!
That's how this technology should be used to push graphics forward and not optimize games with them like in starfield and other crappy AAA's from this year xD
Now this is what a modern game should look like

Can't wait to Ray Trace Cyberpunk style. 😊
My Msi trio 4090 just told me that she is super ready for this 3.5 update and add on;so let's make this happen!
Going to give path tracing on my 3070 another shot. It was too unstable at the resolutions I had to run at for 40+ FPS when path tracing launched.
Watch for vram bottlenecks. Turn down texture quality if you have to, and it may or may not run too badly

@@Deathscythe91he's talking about frame gen
@@Deathscythe91 why do you have so many likes when you're blatantly wrong? You point to a shot of frame generation you can't use on a 3070
It's best to think of DLSS and frame gen as separate features of the same suite. DLSS3.5 upscaling is combining the denoising and upscaling into one step which produces a more stable and responsive image, as well as having a small bump in performance.@@Deathscythe91

you can easily do that by inserting the dlss 3.5 file into any game that supports dlss.
@Thedarkflarekid the comment I replied to was talking about DLSS 3 and the performance gains, not Ray Reconstruction. I don't know about RR, but DLSS 3.5 (denoiser) and Frame gen even works on Starfield which does not natively support DLSS at all but added via mods.

I am looking forward to this. Just a little sad you guys were stingy with frame generation regarding the 3000 series. But at least we get the improved AI model from DLSS 3.5. When FSR 3 comes out, I will have to compare and see if that one is better with frame generation for my card as well.
Bro fell for frame generation scam
"Stingy"?
Yeah, Nvidia is very sorry they didn't send you an updated hardware chip via mail with the Ada Lovelace architecture so you can have next-gen Tensor cores, next-gen Optical Flow Accelerator and like ten times more L2 cache.
@@TheDravic exactly lmao people think this DLSS is just a software solution but it was recently proven that frame generation and DLSS really do require the specific hardware and extra power. Don't fall for FSR. It's good software but it's nowhere near DLSS comparible.
@@MonsterJuiced My favorite part about FSR3 is that it uses Asynchronous Compute to generate the optical flow map, so Pascal (GTX10) users can't expect to see any benefit. Again, disproving the narrative that GPUs across generation have no meaningful differences.
Even Turing is pretty slow at Async Compute, Ampere is better so RTX30 could benefit largely - but, we'll see if it can be combined with DLSS or not.
If Ampere users can't combine DLSS upscaling with FSR3's frame generation, image quality will suffer as you'll be locked into FSR2 upscaling.
@@TheDravic Also not clear to me, if red FG can work as a library dll for nvidia users or requiers a driver implementation?
And what about "red FG + Reflex"?
Every shot looks like concept art, you wouldn’t think any of them would be from a video game. This is the start of RT being realized in actual games!
Kind of not obvious from this video, but the new ray reconstruction features do work on 30 and even 20 series Nvidia cards. So frame generation is still regulated to 40 series, but the super sampling and ray reconstruction improvements are still available to all RTX cards via DLSS 3.5.
Yes. The names of these things make no sense. Look really cool, though.
I didn't think Cyberpunk could look so much better than it already was
DLSS and Frame Generation are totally nuts! Love it.
Objects are still popping out of nowhere while driving on highway
Well i hope this update also fixes the weird flickering textures on some objects when ray traced lightning is on.
Keep in mind, this game came out two and a half years before Starfield.
Ready with my RTX 4080
Frame generation is a game changer, its the main reason why I got a 40 series, it makes CPU bottleneck at high end a non-issue and is suprisingly good.
I prefer to run FG over any level of DLSS, the quality change is comparable and in my opinion way better in frame generation than DLSS.
This ! CPU bottleneck is far far more frequent for me than GPU bottleneck, especially in open worlds with big cities and lot of png's. Frame generation is indeed a CPU buff rather than a GPU buff (which already had DLSS upscaling).
Looks amazing!
There is a weird clicking sound in the beginning of this video that had me thinking a fan was failing in my pc. Foreshadowing?

I just tried DLSS frame gen with 4090 on Corpo start and textures look like a smear with LOD decrease. Anyone else see this? No frame gen and it looks crisp and gorgeous.
DLFG will probably be better on the 2.0 update with DLSS 3.5
@@Matt_10203 You should be correct. I realized I had the tech preview of path tracing on with frame gen and it's a hot mess right now. Considering that is the major update to 2.0, I'd be willing to bet it's come a long way.
still confused about frame generation. i understand there is "special" hardware built for it on 4xxx cards which nvidia could totally be bsing about to begin with, but why is there no software solution? i mean tvs have been using "smooth motion" for a decade now and vr has solutions like async spacewarp/frame interpolation etc that is hardware agnostic. amd is doing it for fs3 and is open to even nvidia cards... so now i have to use an amd solution which i am fine with, but seems silly because i am penalized for not upgrading to a 4x series. sorry, i already dumped $1600 into a 3090, so not looking to "upgrade" for marginal gains when not using dlss3.5. i find nvidia cards pretty sus nowadays. i mean i had to swap my own thermal pads to drop my ram from 104c to 80c on a $1600 FE card because they cheaped out on pads, and then they have power issues that literally melt your pc with new cards... nvidia needs to take their collective ego down a notch, and get some real QA/QC in check. close sourcing things like gsync and dlss i doubt really does much to improve their bottom line.
