When I was in high school, all the schools in our league were at least 1-2 hours away. It sucked! I would have to pack lunch, dinner, and a night time snack for the ride home on the bus, because we wouldn't get home until after 10PM. A couple times a season, we didn't get home until after midnight. And one time, I wrecked my ankle during a game and the nearest hospital was in a different state. My Mom wasn't sure if my insurance would even cover the visit🤷♀️ Good times!😂 (But luckily we did have people in the stands every time)
omg i’m in marching band and certain games we literally have cheer leaders, maybe a couple cheer parents, a few football parents, and random ppl w nun to do, but i swear the band and band parents make up most of the audience
Our recent away game was an hour away but the student section was full of parents of cheerleaders, parents of football players, friends of football players or cheerleaders, and people who just wanted to watch
nah bro if that were my school the stands would still be full. we are a traveling school and the student section is NEVER empty. even when we got rain last year and everyone got sick
That’s what I love about my school’s spirit. One day there was a game that was an hour and 20 minutes away from our school and the stands were still full
Our kids always show up, they dont leave till the band does and they take themes very seriously. Band might never like the student section but we cant deny that they bring something to the game
there were all of 5 cheerleaders for the visiting team at our last game i felt so bad 😭 they’re were also just generally very few people that came to see them play
y'all have large sections of students that travel to watch jr high and JV games? I'm sure that's what age these girls are because they don't look old enough to be in highschool
Every other year, my school plays a game that's about three hours away, and the stands are always packed, but our town has always been pretty big on football. Our student section always shows up
My volleyball tournament was 5 hours away from where I lived, but our first game was at 8:00am so we traveled the morning before and stayed at a hotel. So fun
Bro I’m a football player and ngl I feel bad for the cheer leaders when we go to one of these far games like bruh they traveled an hour just to cheer for 6 whole people for the next two hours 😭😭
seems like a waste of tax dollars, y'all should bring it up to the school board and volunteer the seat next to you on your bus for them and see what happens
my brother plays football, and all the leagues play every Saturday in a different county. it’s usually like 45 mins- 2 hours away for the games. The bleachers are so filled up you can’t even find a seat, so it’s the opposite for me..
When I was in high school, we had to take a bus as a team from Henderson, NV to Reno for the state tournament. It took 9 hours up and 9 hours down. We also had to go to Tonopah many times each year and that’s a 5 hour drive each way
My school is getting put field redone so every game is an away game. Our “home” field is 30 minutes away and our student section always shows up and is crazy big
I’m sorry 40 MINUITES?! that’s nothing… I went to one that was and hour and 30 mins away and we had a FULL student section (there have been even further games)
That's it we have to drive 2 hours for a conference game
Same

Are you saying you have to bus up and drive 2 to 3 hours to play an average away game??
oh my god, I’m a cheerleader and this has happened before…we really didnt cheer that game 😭
You’re in a cheerleader 🤨
@@patrickisbetter oh my god! I’m so sorry! I didn’t realize I spelt wrong. I meant to say I am a cheerleader. 😅
We had a game 5 hours away but the school gave transportation for the rowdy crowd 😂

That song fits perfectly 💀
Fortunately our school provides transportation for the rowdy crowd so we ain't cheering at just parents 😭
And then there's just a couple parents that always be loud asf
omg i’m in marching band and certain games we literally have cheer leaders, maybe a couple cheer parents, a few football parents, and random ppl w nun to do, but i swear the band and band parents make up most of the audience
variety’s away game is 6 hours away Friday so i don’t even think the cheer team is going lol
Girlie I used to cheer at a texas private school. 40 min was SHORT lol. Usually a 2-3 hr drive
Our recent away game was an hour away but the student section was full of parents of cheerleaders, parents of football players, friends of football players or cheerleaders, and people who just wanted to watch
marching band pulls through😍
nah bro if that were my school the stands would still be full. we are a traveling school and the student section is NEVER empty. even when we got rain last year and everyone got sick
damn was it acid rain or what
I just got back from an away game that was 4 hours away😂😂😭😭
Bro we drove three hours for a 1 hour game but we smoked the home team tho 🔛🔝🏐🥇
Band always pulls through 💪
The worst is when your drive takes longer than the game 🙄
That’s why at my district we only do home games 😭
our school is difff we’ve had games hours away and went like our first game of the szn was two hours away and the students section was lit
So true tho my game last week there was only like 5 people😭😭
Lol our closest away game is always an hour and parents of the players and cheerleaders come and everybody cheers for everyone.
no because my away volleyball games are like two hours away… i can’t express how silent our crowd is…. CAUSE NO ONE’S THERE😭😭😭
My student section will get there when the gates open to fight for front row
Our stands are full even on 3 hr drives 😭
Lol that's cuz it's like 2 hours before the game starts
My game next week is 1 hour 30min away 😭

Great job cheerleaders. Cheer fo your team always!!!
That’s what I love about my school’s spirit. One day there was a game that was an hour and 20 minutes away from our school and the stands were still full

My school wasn't weak like that, most of the teams in our conference were 30-45 minutes away and our student section always showed up and showed out.
y'all have large sections of students that travel to watch jr high and JV games? I'm sure that's what age these girls are because they don't look old enough to be in highschool
Fr- as a cheerleader in KB and FB I feel this exact same way.
The song makes it better😂
Facts 😂😂😂 my next game is away
So real. Just had an away game tn and it was over an hour away there was like 10 people in the stands
Every other year, my school plays a game that's about three hours away, and the stands are always packed, but our town has always been pretty big on football. Our student section always shows up
That’s tough for junior high we had to travel for an hour or more and people would still show up
We had to drive two hours and 30 minutes just to get to a game and then back but it was worth it since now we’re in like second round of playoffs
My volleyball tournament was 5 hours away from where I lived, but our first game was at 8:00am so we traveled the morning before and stayed at a hotel. So fun
We drove 2 hours just to lose
one of our games was almost three hours away and the student section was full. i knew all the ppl on my grade were there except like 5-10 ppl so yea
Me when I pull up to school on a holiday 😂😂
Ikr its the same for me and my cheer squad
We had district games over 2 hours away. I always pretended everyone was cheering for me.
our whole town comes to every single game no matter how far it is we had one 4 hours away and it was almost the same as a home game
A few of my games were 3 hours away, and the stands were still full
For our away football games in the visitors side most of the time there’s more people than the home side
This is so true I am a cheerleader and where we have football games it was like nobody was there except for like one person or one family
Not us our away student section is bigger than the other student section sometimes
we had to drive 4 hours and we had the stands completely full
Ikr I hate when this happens lol😅
😅😅that's what all the away games looked like at my school...
nah my school travels with us lol 😂
Face your players, ladies!! When there is no one to "lead in cheer" for your teams..... "Cheer On!" your team(s). ❤🎉❤🎉❤
West Texas large schools are about 3 hrs. The school provides buses for students without rides.
Everyone at my school still goes to the games even if it’s 2 hours away
This was literally our last game 😢

I literally just had a jr high football game as I am 13 two hours away and there were still like 30 people in the stands 💀🤷♀️

In high school Most our away games were two hours one way. There was always a crowd to support. Friday night lights was legit a thing.
“I wanna goooo home” 🤣
I wish our games would have been that close

New Castle county in Delaware is like 5 miles east to west....and that's gonna take you about 30 minutes. And those are packed.
