I'm not sure I've ever been as mad at a fictional character as I was the first time I read this book. The book makes Umbridge even worse than the movie does.
A lot of people don't like Harry in the first part of this one because he's so angry and snappish. They don't think about the fact that he has PTSD from the graveyard, survivor's guilt, no contact from anyone all summer, he's still being kept in the dark, he's being called crazy or a liar, he has Voldemort's thoughts in his head and Umbridge is torturing him. That's a lot for anyone to deal with let alone a 15 year old kid.
That is so real and so true. Especially after Cedric in the graveyard. Rowling wrote that in really well, with the flashbacks/nightmares etc. It definitely would make him more vulnerable to Voldemort's mental interference as well, since he just feeds off of other people's trauma.
Dumbledore calling Voldemort "Tom" is such a power move! Snape in the PoA - stands between the trio and a werewolf with no wand Umbridge in OoTP - runs behind Harry and Hermione even though she has a wand. Makes me laugh that Voldemort is the main bad guy but everyone hates Umbridge so much more. You know the actress did an amazing job when she can fill so many people with such an intense rage about a fictional character 😂😂
About Neville: ▪︎ his parents aren't dead. Bellatrix cruciated them into insanity ▪︎ he's a weak magician because his grandma makes him use his father's wand ▪︎ the prophesy said V would mark his enemy, a boy born in that month. V marked Harry. But it could have been N.
@@YoSunnyP yeah about 90% of the people I've watched watch these movies hear him say that they're worse than dead and still assume that they're dead like they still miss that line worse than so it's not just you they were tortured for information and never broke they were tortured so long that their brains couldn't handle it and now they don't even know their son
I cried with you, Sunny. Thousands of rewatches and the scene where Harry sees his friends while being possessed by Voldemort ALWAYSSS makes me tear up. 😢
So the Patronus charm works in 2 ways, it can create a shield/full-formed "creature" which is unique to the person casting it to protect them from Dementors and the other is the animal can convey messages from you to other wizards. Every wizard has their own animal, kind of like their "spirit animal" (though that's a term taken from native American culture so it's best not to appropriate that) but just to explain it better. Harry's dad's patronus was a stag and his mum's was a doe or female deer.
in the books, Harry hated what he found out about his Father- it tortured him. He had always believed that is Father was a great man and then to see him bullying Snape...
Yes. Harry knew what it was like being a victim of bullying himself. Dudley and friends made Harry's life a misery growing up and no-one could be his friend because they were all afraid of Dudley and his gang. THIS hit Harry really, really hard because of it.
Thd prophesy was made by Sybill, and witnessed by Dumbledore. Throughout the HP saga, everything Sybill says comes true, even when she thinks she's faking.
Luna is probably one of my favourite characters from the books. She's wonderfully weird but completely herself. And her friendship with Harry is really sweet.
Things in The Order of the Phoenix novel that are not in the movie; Mrs. Fig is a Squib (a person born from a wizarding family but unable to do magic) who was Harry's neighbor for many years. She was even mentioned often throughout the book series. But Harry never knew that Mrs. Fig is actually part of the wizarding community. Harry actually found out about Hagrid being a half giant by mistake during Goblet of Fire. Hagrid's biological mother, Fridwulfa is a giant. Hagrid's father was a wizard. Grawp is Hagrid's brother by way of their giant mother. Ron's brother, Percy had a falling out with the Weasley family. He never believed Harry's story about Voldemort's return and was on the side of the Minister of Magic. Neville's parents are very much alive and are permanent patients at Saint Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies. Because of all the torture that Bellatrix, her husband and Barty Crouch Junior inflicted on them they are mentally damaged. While visiting Mr. Weasley in the hospital Harry, Ron and Hermione come across Neville and his grandmother and was able to meet Neville's parents. The Weasley twins weren't expelled. They quit school. When Harry won the Tri Wizard Tournament in Goblet of Fire he gave his winnings to the twins. Harry originally tried to give it to Cedric's father but he refused to take it. As a result of Harry giving it to the twins Fred and George started using the money to start a side business and made Harry as a secret investor and silent partner. That is why the twins kept inventing all sorts of magical practical joke sweets throughout Order of the Phoenix. When the Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny and Luna flew the Thestrals the majority of them couldn't see what it was they were flying. Earlier in the school year they did learn about Thestrals in Magical Beasts class when Hagrid introduced them to the students. Those who had witnessed death had no trouble seeing them. But the rest couldn't and all they saw was raw meat being devoured by some invisible entities. When the group flew the Thestrals it was as if they were flying on thin air. They can feel the animals but couldn't see them. In the end of the book when Harry talks to Dumbledore in his office, Dumbledore reveals that the prophecy actually came from Professor Trelawney and it was he who witnessed Professor Trelawney make prophecy while she was in a trance. The prophecy was; "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..." Dumbledore said that two babies were born at the end of July. Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. Though the prophecy fit Neville just the same as Harry because Neville's parents also defied Voldemort three times, it was Harry that Voldemort chose to kill instead of Neville. It is believed that Voldemort chose Harry because Harry's mother was a muggleborn. Neville's parents are purebloods. During the last evening at Hogwarts Harry desperately runs to the ghost of Nearly Headless Nick and tries to talk to him about Sirius possibly coming back as a ghost. But Nick tells Harry that the only reason why Nick is a ghost residing at Hogwarts is because he refused to move on to the beyond. He refused to let go and wanted to remain. Nick explained to Harry that Sirius moved on. 📚🪄🔮
Just to point it out, Dumbledore here seemed to have a hard time against Voldemort, but in the book, he was protecting Harry from the killing curas (Avada Kedavra) with statues, avoiding the killing curse as well while holded Bellatrix also with a statue, all of that dueling Voldemort.

In the book, they actually meet Neville and his mom while visiting Mr. Weasley in the hospital (something the movie cut out entirely). Neville was visiting his parents in the long-term ward.
So, it’s lucky I’ve seen these movies like 50 times, as you’re editing out about 95% of all the dialogue? I’m sticking with your channel as you have a great personality, are eye candy and I know it’s a lot of work. I’m just hoping within editing, maybe try to keep in enough dialogue that it’s not necessary to only rely only memory. Lol❤ (P.S.) I truly appreciate your enthusiasm for these movies and hope you eventually get to read the books, they’re amazing fun.
Truly appreciate your words and you being here! I’m trying! Haha I wish RUclips would just let me upload the whole thing! I get it but dang this is tough!!
RUclips is notorious about copyright striking, especially Potter videos. That's why he's having to edit it like this. The other option would be to put a watermark over the video, which I never like anyway.
@@YoSunnyP -I know RUclips is a pain, and you’re still doing a terrific job, I look forward to seeing your channel grow. BTW, just seeing you cry when Harry had the flashback of all his happy memories, made me cry buddy, it was sweet. :)
51:55 Harry didn't burn that bridge. Snape understood what he told him (that they had Sirius at the ministry), but pretended that he didn't understand or cared in front of Umbridge because he was an ally. The only reason The Order of the Phoenix was there at the ministry to help Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna was because Snape sent them. He was the only one who knew what was happening other than them.
1:06:01 You asked who Luna's mom is and I haven't seen anyone respond yet. Seeing as you've already seen the rest of the movies you know about horcrux's and Regulus Black (sirius's brother.) He's the one who found out about the horcruxes not dumbledore and he died trying to destroy the locket. Luna's mother's name is Pandora. Regulus and her were bestfriends and she was helping him destroy them. She also died trying to destroy the same horcurx but Luna only thinks of it as "an expirement gone bad". I love you're reactions bro like actually. I've watched so many of these types of videos and yours is by far my favorite.
I appreciate you more than you can imagine! From the helpful information to the kind words. Means everything to me to meet people like you through things we both enjoy! Stay tuned! Look forward to more of your comments!
Next time you're not sure if someone is a dog or werewolf, just turn to page... three hundred... and ninety-four We all knew you were going to tear up when you repeated "If anything happens to Sirius..." My fave is Deathly Hollows Part 1 🎥 ⚡ 💓 👓 🍿
A Patronus charm can actually be used to also pass messages, but typically though a Patronus charm is the only thing to stop an attack from a dementor. I hope I spelled that right
@@YoSunnyPsorry if my tone might come off odd or even condescending at times I don't know why it turns out that way whenever I try and speak through written language instead of if I was standing in front of you speaking with you face to face
Great work Sunny. Don't be afraid of the emotions, it just means you're a good dude with a heart who cares about people--even when it's fictional people, it's a great quality to have. I'm so glad you started watching these my guy. This reaction earned you a membership. Can't wait to see what else you've got buddy!
Cedric got hit with one of the unforgivable curses if you remember in the goblet of fire, the fake moody was going over the unforgivable curses there’s the killing curse no one has ever survived it, except for Harry
Things they don't tell you in the movies -- That's Ron's brother Percy working for the Ministry and holding Harry's shirt collar in that scene after Umbridge catches all the Dumbledore's Army members. There's a rift in the family for a while in the books. Everyone has a Patronus that means something to them so Harry's dad was a Stag and Harry's mom was a Doe so Harry also produces a stag. The guy who says Dumbledore has style is Kingsley Shacklebolt. He's actually a member of the Order of the Phoenix who works in the ministry to keep an eye on the Minister of Magic for the Order.
In the book, it was Cho's friend Marietta who betrayed Dumbledore's Army to Umbridge, but Shacklebolt modified her memory before she could confirm it to Fudge.
4:30 Well Expecto Patronum can also be used against Lethifolds - cape looking monsters that were considered to be related to Dementors, floating at night physically trying to catch and suffocate their prey (more common in hotter climates). It can also be speculated that there may have been some other uses against other really dark creatures. As Patronus brought warm and comfort.
Love the reaction Sunny! I'm so happy you are sharing your HP journey with us. A few things missing from the movie that were in the book that I don't see everyone talking about that I think are important: - Dobby the house elf is the one who shows them the Room of Requirement (just the presence of Dobby is important to me) - Quidditch is always a bigger deal to Harry in the books, and because of his "bad behavior" Umbridge bans him from being able to play which is devastating to Harry - the OWL exams that they take as 5th years are important and can determine what careers you can have. Harry decides he wants to be an Auror (wizard cop) but Umbridge makes it clear she'll try to prevent him from achieving that goal so McGonagall vows to to help HP (their feud is marvelous) - Harry and friends go to the wizarding hospital when Ron's dad is attacked and end up seeing Neville's parents (who are non-verbal after losing their minds under Bellatrix's torture) it is super sad. - Snape removes his bad memories (like you saw Dumbledore do last movie) before his lessons with HP to prevent him from seeing, but HP snoops. Its a much longer scene in the book and gives a lot of insight to the characters of Snape, the Marauders, and even HP's mom. In the movie its just a rebounded spell and HP sees, but I think it's important to note that Snape kicks HP out of lessons because HP invaded Snape's privacy intentionally. - (This is in the movie but not really explained) when HP tells Snape "he's got Padfoot, in the place where it's hidden" and Snape says "no idea" ... Snape is the reason Sirius and the rest of the Order of the Phoenix show up to rescue HP and friends There's more but these were some big ones for me. I hope fans are being nice about any knowledge gaps you might have from being a movie watcher not a book reader ❤ Looking forward to Half Blood Prince!
If no one has mentioned it. When Vernon asks Dudley "what happened to you my boy". Dudley says "he saved me" that is why Vernon said you have finally driven him loopy
So you can't really get angry at Dudley for pointing at Harry for causing the whole thing mughals aren't able to see the Dementors. Now Dudley is still a huge a and then hole, but you can't fault them at that point for pointing at Harry since he couldn't see them
Unfortunately in the movie they make it same as though Neville's parents were killed but they weren't the cruciatus curse was used on them, and it drove them nuts so to speak they lost their memories so they now stay at a magical hospital I don't know how to spell it someone else in the comments please leave it underneath mine it would be most appreciative thank you. In that scene though when we see them at the hospital and they see Neville's parents there with him you see a very touching scene where the mother gives Neville a gum wrapper and he cherishes it as though it's a one-of-a-kind that his mother made just for him he never gives it up, she gives him a new one every time he shows up and every time he keeps it
you know crying is a reaction you should just let it happen, it's ok to cry. we all cry in these movies i still cry during specific scenes no matter how much ive seen them
The next movie is my favorite book and my least favorite film... And yes, Alan Rickmans voice is/was always satsfying. Even more so on stage. A patronus is a guardian against despair. It can not only be used against dementors but also against Lethifolds as well. A corporeal patronus takes the form of a "guardian" animal. The form of your patronus can change due to love /live changing events. Mine is actually a shark (which I love, since I love the sea and diving). Imelda Staunton (the actress playing Umbridge) is sucha good actress. I am happy Snape became you favorite - let's hope it stays that way *evil grin* The relationship between Snape and the Marauders (all 4 of them) was one of mutual disliking. Usually the 4 Marauders teamed up to paly tricks on Snape (it mostly took the 4 of them to even get through). Which explains why Snape does not like Lupin and Sirius as well. BUT there is much more to that and that will come in later. Even in the books people always tell Harry how great a guy his dad was - but we only ever see hhim being mean to Snape. And yes it is hinted that Snape was really good at Dark Arts even as a first year. The Snape debate is going on for as long as the books are out - and since he is my favorite character (the best written one) - I am mostly just sick of people saying Snape is just bad. I think he is many things but he is not all black
Fact: in the books, Harry's scar is always described as similar to a lightning, but it was approved in the official additional materials that it is not. Apart from wording, spells have special patterns that should be drawn in the air with the wand to make them more efficient, and the pattern for the killing curse is a bit similar to a lightning, so it left a scar where it struck
The actress who played Luna Lovegood is Evanna Lynch...and she's a stunning woman !... one of my favorite roles in the series... you'll learnmore about her as the story unfolds... Yes Snape was bullied.. RIP Alan Rickman..and that's just part of his past... Deloris Umbrage..the woman in pink was detestable... no-one likes her and many reactors weren't as delicate with their wishes for the character..which means the actress did a bang-up job with her portrayal... So glad you're continuing with this series...the edit is a bit choppy.. sentences not finished..but overall not bad for a new editor... Happy Thanksgiving Sunny 🦃... 🌿🌿🌿
21:38 LOL your horrified face says it all! Glad you loved it though! but the next movie is my personal favourite book along with the last one! 42:54 it works basically similar to how animagi works "the ability to turn to an animal at will like Sirius, James Potter, Peter Petigrew and proff McGonagall as a cat!" So a full Patronus takes the form of an animal too and each person gets one that suits their characteristics and personality the best, just like in prisoner of azkaban do you remember Harry's patronus at the end took the shape of a stag "male deer" just like his dad's animagus form! like Sirius is a dog, Peter is a rat, James used to turn to a stag! so due to his great connection and love for his dad his patronus took his dad's animagus form So you don't get to choose what you get with patronuses and animagi Ron's patronus is a dog like you just saw "the most loyal of animals", Hermione an otter " a very intelligent animal" , Luna a rabbit and Jinny Weasley got a horse! thos are the most memorable ones there. 48:30 well.. that was completely one sided! there's always the other side of the story! Snape wasn't a cute, shy kid that James bullied and got bitter because of James! there was mutual hate there he was not simply James's victim. Snape bullied first years himself "Not gonna elaborate more you'll find out more later", you should know he was not innocent himself and James was not just evil. not justifying it though and it's not shown in the movie but Harry asks Sirius and Lupin about it and they admit it but they say there's more you don't know, do not hate your dad he was a good man and we grew out of this arrogance we had. 1:02:41 YES! Dumbledore is more than a match for Voldemort! Voldemort's the one who's not a match for him! always feared him. and here Dumbledore was more concerned that Harry was right there yk kept pushing him out of harm's way more than attacking Voldemort.
The thing about the Harry Potter books is that the author, JK Rowling originally wrote the series for adults. It was the book publishers that decided to advertise it as children's books. If you read between the lines of the story you will see it is a satire. First, one has to understand that you the reader are looking at the story through Harry Potter's point of view as he grows up throughout the years at Hogwarts. In the first book and movie Harry is 11 years old so you see his world from his 11 year old mindset and maturity. But as he grows up and begins to understand things more and more the story gets darker and less innocent as he matures with age. The reason I call the books a satire is that many of the stories deals with racism of a different kind and political corruption. Dobby might be a house elf but nevertheless he is a slave just the same. There might not be any racism in the wizarding world against people of color but there is racism against wizards who do not come from pure magical families. Harry doesn't see the horrible similarities between the wizarding world and the muggle world at this point because he is only 12 years old during The Chamber of Secrets. To a certain extent he is still an innocent little boy and is not mature enough to comprehend it all to the fullest extent. 🏰🧙♂️🧙🏻♀️🧒🪄⚡️📚📽🎞🖤
You wanted to know who the strange man was when they met to 1st form Dumbledore's army. He was the owner /barman of the Hog's Head, the other pub in Hogsmead (Harry prefers the 3 broomsticks pub). You will meet him again in the last film. This film had a different screen writer and shows Ginny more like she is in the books making a good job of the worst book. It won't last as the original screen writer returns from now onwards.
Ive been bingeing your harry Potter reactions lol! A lot of Potterheads hate this film but i quite enjoy it!! Luna is my favorite aside from Neville!! 💙
Love your reactions! So cute and genuine! ❤The scene where Voldemort is possessing Harry always makes me cry, no matter often I’ve seen it. 😢 Love from Germany
Hey sunny! Another 10/10 video. Cant wait for you to make your sorting video! Im having a blast riding the harry potter train with you! this movie you met Luna Lovegood, Shes not my favorite but shes definately my personality at hogwarts lol. Shes a ravenclaw like i am, and we both are quietly wise, goofy and odd but in a good way haha. Im working right now but when i get home ill type out my essay of fun facts, if u happen to see this sunny, nows the time to ask extra questions. Have a good day 😊
Something that makes Bellatrix a little more twisted, Sirius was her first cousin and she just offed him like it was nothing. Also, Tonks’ mother, Andromeda, is Bellatrix’s sister (making Tonks Bellatrix’s niece) and Sirius’ cousin.
Dumbledore is the ultimate wizard... He was there at the downfall of Grindelwald (the dark wizard before Voldy; who was also his best friend) and possessed at some point all 3 powerfull objects, the Elder Wand, the Philosopher's Stone and the Invisibilty cloak which was in James Potter's possession and passed on to Dumbledore for safe keeping to be given to Harry... but he never used them as he never had any form of greed for power.
@@YoSunnyP I suggest watching "Fantastic Beasts" trilogy... most questions asked in Harry Potter should be answered there. 1. Fantastic Beasts- Where to find them 2. Fantastic Beasts- Crimes of Grindelwald 3. Fantastic Beasts- Sacrets of Dumbledore
Don't know if someone pointed out out already, but it was Umbridge who set the dementors on Harry and his cousin. Yeah, calling her "evil" was NOT a stretch lol
HI SUNNY! lol did u think i forgot to babble on and on about harry potter? im watching the video again to make sure i get it all! first off i want to mention Cedric Diggory, part of what makes his murder so sad was because he was a Hufflepuff. do you remember i told you the qualities of each of the houses? the primary qualities of Hufflepuff house are loyalty, hard work and fair play. and those are the qualities that also described Cedric, he was just a good guy who stumbled over Voldemort's path and was killed for it. this leads into the next thing, Thestrals. Thestrals are the black, dead looking, flying horse things that harry is suddenly able to see, and Luna says "youre not crazy, i can see them too" the reason for this is a person can only see Thestrals if they have seen death, meaning, witnessing someone die. For harry that was Cedric being murdered, for Luna she saw her mom die while experimenting with magic. many witches and wizards believe thestrals to be bad omens due to their connection to death. The next thing i want to talk about is the room harry and the gang go to practice defensive magic. that room is called The Room of Requirement. The Room of Requirement is a magical room inside Hogwarts that is always lying dormant, invisible in the same location waiting for someone to call on it. the room will always appear to those who need it fully stocked with whatever the seeker needs, whether thats a bathroom, extra cleaning supplies or even somewhere to hide safely in the castle. its only know limitation is that it cannot produce food. so when the gang need a safe place away from Umbridge to practice defensive magic, the room appears and provides them with just that. in the book the room even supplies Hermione with loads and loads of books for her to read, defensive magical objects for harry to use in class and plenty of space to practice. as for the defensive magic itself, ive talked about Patronus's before, i dont mind giving another run down. A Patronus is a projection of the very thing Dementors feed off of, hope, happiness, the desire to survive ect. Each Patronus is in fact unique to the witch or wizard who casts it. for harry his is a Stag, the stag is a symbol of strength. A person with this Patronus is characterized for their inclination to heroism and nobility. Usually, people who produce this Patronus are confident in their capabilities and hold pride in their actions and beliefs. For Hermione her patrons is an Otter, otters are symbolic of life and purification. Otters are also extremely playful and curious. They have no reservations about following their curiosity since they are also fearless. also associated with friendship, otters are often found holding hands while sleeping. Rons Patronus, a Jack Russel Terrier, dogs are renowned for their loyalty and are frequently referred to as ‘a man’s best friend’, representing their unwavering sense of companionship, and fierce loyalty to thier friends. my Patronus, yea did u think i wouldnt mention my own hehe! is a Black Stallion, Horses often represent free-spirited and adventurous personalities. Black stallions, in particular, tend to be extremely passionate and are often dominating personalities. They also can be a bit mysterious. the last thing i will babble about, is the prophecy harry partly heard while at the ministry of magic. here it is in full; The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies... obviously i cant tell you what that means BUT there it is lol. like usual if you have any questions at all i am all ears, and as you can tell i LOVE harry potter lore. i enjoy the comfy vibes your going for and boy trust me youll be needing those vibes in the coming movies. take care sunny and have a FANTASTIC holiday season. take care♥
Oh, Rayne how I look forward to you. Your comments are so helpful I swear! You definitely have me looking forward to each movie and the breakdowns of everything are AMAZING! You need to do something with all this knowledge you have about HP. There’s gotta be some kind of club or community in the HP scene that you need to be in charge of hahah!
Youre very sweet, but i have no desire for that much attention. I simply love harry potter lore and when i see people i like getting into it, i like adding bits of lore they had to cut for the adaptation. Keep up the comfy vibes dude, blanket, popcorn and a warm drink, if you havent recorded the next movie yet, trust tht ull need those vibes for the next few movies. ♡
Luna is one of my favorite if not thee most favorite character of mine. As the movies progress and if you read the books you'll find out some reasons for Luna's quirky personality. Even though she seems like she's on a cloud out there somewhere, she really is a true Ravenclaw always thinking and being creative although still again in her quirky way. I'm going by the movies, as you've already seen she was instrumental in drawing Dumbledore's Army together by mentioning about Harry being able to produce a patronus. When no one thought there was way to get to London, she thought outside the box to use thestrals. You'll find out later she plays important parts with her out of the box wisdom. She often saves the day.
I've read the books in. My favorite story is Half Blood Prince. Also, Luna Lovegood is my favorite character in the entire series. I'm glad you're enjoying these. By the way, the books are a thousand times better
I have binging these all week and you are my favorite!!! Something to take note on... Harry - and crew - really never use the unforgivable curses... They all train to disarm or stun...
I don’t think you realized it but that’s Percy Weasley holding Harry at 43:38. He’s, by now, working for the Ministry, much to the dismay of the rest of his family. They become alienated from him as a result.
Ngl I hate how they chose to show this one particular scene of James and nothing else. Like in the books it's made clear that it was a two sided rivalry between them, and that by the time that flashback/memory happened, Snape was already a junior deatheater (like not a double agent but a full fledged pureblood supremacist who only later changed his attitude). :/
In Movie version they show Dumbledore very less powerful. Here is the book version in short. Please read it “But Master - he is here - he is below -” Voldemort paid no attention. AVADA KEDAVRA!” Harry had not even opened his mouth to resist. His mind was blank, his wand pointing uselessly at the floor. But the headless golden statue of the wizard in the fountain had sprung alive, leaping from its plinth, and landed on the floor with a crash between Harry and Voldemort. The spell merely glanced off its chest as the statue flung out its arms, protecting Harry. “What - ?” said Voldemort, staring around. And then he breathed, “Dumbledore!” Voldemort raised his wand and sent another jet of green light at Dumbledore, who turned and was gone in a whirling of his cloak; next second he had reappeared behind Voldemort and waved his wand toward the remnants of the fountain; the other statues sprang to life too. The statue of the witch ran at Bellatrix, who screamed and sent spells streaming uselessly off its chest, before it dived at her, pin- ning her to the floor. Meanwhile, the goblin and the house-elf scuttled toward the fireplaces set along the wall, and the one-armed centaur galloped at Voldemort, who vanished and reappeared beside the pool. The headless statue thrust Harry backward, away from the fight, as Dumbledore advanced on Voldemort and the golden centaur can- tered around them both. “You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore?” called Voldemort, his scarlet eyes narrowed over the top of the shield. “Above such brutality, are you?” “We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man, Tom,” Dumbledore said calmly, continuing to walk toward Volde- mort as though he had not a fear in the world, as though nothing had happened to interrupt his stroll up the hall. “Merely taking your life would not satisfy me, I admit -” “There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!” snarled Voldemort. “You are quite wrong,” “Indeed, your failure to un- derstand that there are things much worse than death has always been your greatest weakness -” Dumbledore never failed down in book version. Voldemort was nervous entirely while face Dumbledore. Voldemort go inside Harry coz he failed to face Dumbledore.
In general I believe the books are better than the movies, but one VERY rare example of the movies being better is how Sirius was portrayed. In the book, Sirius spent practically the whole time whining about how he was trapped in the house, unable to leave because he's a wanted man, and while he did comfort Harry simply by being there, he had little emotional support for him. In the film you can tell he's suffering the same way, but he's much more stoic and comforting to Harry, assuring him he's not a bad person when he's scared of his dreams, promising they'll be a proper family... all that was added in, it wasn't in the book. It’s a good change that makes Sirius' death even more heart-wrenching.
The official pottermore website can give you not only your house but also your patronus as well if you take the quizzes. My patronus is a black mamba according to the site which is pretty rare but i can kinda make my peace with it despite me being kinda taken aback at first. Everyone else getting deers and bunnies n shiz and am out here getting a deadly snake. I'll take it though.
One complaint I have about this film is the downplaying of dumbledore. For example the dumble vs voldy fight. In the books dumbledore is dog walking Voldemort he isn’t falling over or looking worried, he is literally countering every spell whilst giving Voldemort a lecture about death. They watered it down too much, I really think the book demonstrated why Voldemort never directly attacked the school, because dumbledore was that guy.
I don’t think that it was appropriate, telling someone who is only up to the 5th movie about something that happens in book 7, even if it was never revealed in the film version. Let’s KEEP SPOILERS TO A MINIMUM please people!
The movies don't do a good job of explaining that Neville's parents are not dead. The curciatous curse caused them to go insane so now they live in a psychiatric ward at a magic hospital.
It really demonstrates how amazing an actor is. In the book, people really have no excuse for liking Snape. Sure, Harry's father had a rivalry with him that led to them pranking each other and James seemingly bullying Snape. However, his reaction to that is to bully eleven year old children. That's truly pathetic.
Yeah, I can't take anymore of hearing someone nicely about snake before the end. I mean everyone who's just seen the movies things in the end that he was a good person but he wasn't in the movies they skipped out on like 90% of what made him who he was most of that being that he seemed to get a sexual thrill out of torturing students. Predominantly gryffindors he often would threaten to give Neville's towed. Trevor, if you drops of his potion just to see what would happen. Hoping it would kill him. He was Neville's biggest fear for a reason. He also felt entitled to vagina because he befriended a girl who he also felt entitled to vagina because he befriended a girl who is was muggle born and beneath him so he felt entitled to have sex with her and he never got to. So he was like my bully stole my girl. But no you called her the m word. You deserve what you got and you don't get to torture her kid because he's a constant reminder that they f*****
I hate to break it to you but James physical bullying was worse than Snape calling someone a name . just like in the real world physical violence is worse than the n word . ABH will always be worse . also people are allowed to have a crush and be pissed off if the bully got the woman. that's natural behaviour
@@corriescrivener1937 I was bullied all through school and the fact that if I was being bullied by somebody and someone I'm attracted to stood up to them for me I would not be thinking oh that makes me less of a person I need to degrade them and then treat them like I was stolen from that was my property that that person took and then when you find out they get married go to the dark side to try to get him and the baby killed and then probably desecrate her corpse in front of her baby before her body is even cold he is one of the worst people character wise in the franchise because that makes everything he did okay including torturing their kid for looking like them cuz it's a constant slap in the face that she f***** a different guy and their kid dares to look like that guy but have her eyes and don't get me started on that s***the fact that they bash us over the head and all the movies and all the books that he looks exactly like James except with Lily's eyes and okay they can't get a boy who has green eyes okay he can't wear contacts okay CGI is a problem well hire a b**** who has the same eye color as him can't be bothered to do that not even get somebody the right age FUCK

Voldemort may be the main villan, and Bellatrix may be a psychotic monster. However no one will ever be more unlikable than Umbridge. The alpha Karen
Exactly. One of those things where you can understand both sides in a sense
So much trauma for the poor boy.
its not an excuse though. In the book, Dudley was avoiding then Harry just start saying nonsense. Then Dudley mentioned cedric and harry's parents.
I understand because I did temporarily have PTSD after being in an accident.
Snape in the PoA - stands between the trio and a werewolf with no wand
Umbridge in OoTP - runs behind Harry and Hermione even though she has a wand.
Makes me laugh that Voldemort is the main bad guy but everyone hates Umbridge so much more. You know the actress did an amazing job when she can fill so many people with such an intense rage about a fictional character 😂😂
About Neville:
▪︎ his parents aren't dead. Bellatrix cruciated them into insanity
▪︎ he's a weak magician because his grandma makes him use his father's wand
▪︎ the prophesy said V would mark his enemy, a boy born in that month. V marked Harry. But it could have been N.
Thanks for the notes! Appreciate you for the helpful info
I thought that he was meant to be killed... not marked! But the curse backfired living a scar on the victim... Harry!
I cried with you, Sunny. Thousands of rewatches and the scene where Harry sees his friends while being possessed by Voldemort ALWAYSSS makes me tear up. 😢
Wasn’t expecting that at all 😭😭😭
So the Patronus charm works in 2 ways, it can create a shield/full-formed "creature" which is unique to the person casting it to protect them from Dementors and the other is the animal can convey messages from you to other wizards. Every wizard has their own animal, kind of like their "spirit animal" (though that's a term taken from native American culture so it's best not to appropriate that) but just to explain it better. Harry's dad's patronus was a stag and his mum's was a doe or female deer.
Oh ok I see! Thank you!
in the books, Harry hated what he found out about his Father- it tortured him. He had always believed that is Father was a great man and then to see him bullying Snape...
See I thought they were gonna pay a little more attention to something like that faster finding out in the movie!
And her friendship with Harry is really sweet.
luna lovegod
cant put a price on being real
Things in The Order of the Phoenix novel that are not in the movie;
Mrs.
In the end of the book when Harry talks to Dumbledore in his office, Dumbledore reveals that the prophecy actually came from Professor Trelawney and it was he who witnessed Professor Trelawney make prophecy while she was in a trance. The prophecy was;
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."
Dumbledore said that two babies were born at the end of July.
📚🪄🔮
Snape was trying to train Harry to strengthen his mind to prevent Voldemort from infiltrating it.
Some friendly training right 🤣 I know what you mean
Just to point it out, Dumbledore here seemed to have a hard time against Voldemort, but in the book, he was protecting Harry from the killing curas (Avada Kedavra) with statues, avoiding the killing curse as well while holded Bellatrix also with a statue, all of that dueling Voldemort.
All while cussing out Voldemort and telling him what a frightened little bitch he was.
He also beat Grindelwald who was sometimes at same levels as Voldemort and was Dumbledore friend ❤❤❤
Dumbledore is always my favorite.

Nevilles parents are still alive. Bellatrix tortured them into madness. That is what Sirius meant when he said they suffered a fate worse than death.
I see! Ok thank you for pointing that out!
In the book, they actually meet Neville and his mom while visiting Mr. Weasley in the hospital (something the movie cut out entirely). Neville was visiting his parents in the long-term ward.

A Patronus charm can actually be used to also pass messages, but typically though a Patronus charm is the only thing to stop an attack from a dementor. I hope I spelled that right

Things they don't tell you in the movies --
That's Ron's brother Percy working for the Ministry and holding Harry's shirt collar in that scene after Umbridge catches all the Dumbledore's Army members.
A few things missing from the movie that were in the book that I don't see everyone talking about that I think are important:
- Dobby the house elf is the one who shows them the Room of Requirement (just the presence of Dobby is important to me)
- Quidditch is always a bigger deal to Harry in the books, and because of his "bad behavior" Umbridge bans him from being able to play which is devastating to Harry
- the OWL exams that they take as 5th years are important and can determine what careers you can have. Harry decides he wants to be an Auror (wizard cop) but Umbridge makes it clear she'll try to prevent him from achieving that goal so McGonagall vows to to help HP (their feud is marvelous)
- Harry and friends go to the wizarding hospital when Ron's dad is attacked and end up seeing Neville's parents (who are non-verbal after losing their minds under Bellatrix's torture) it is super sad.
Snape is the reason Sirius and the rest of the Order of the Phoenix show up to rescue HP and friends
There's more but these were some big ones for me. I hope fans are being nice about any knowledge gaps you might have from being a movie watcher not a book reader ❤
Looking forward to Half Blood Prince!
I love how invested you have become with Harry and company! Don't hide your tears, we have all shed plenty for the whole school!
Now Dudley is still a huge a and then hole, but you can't fault them at that point for pointing at Harry since he couldn't see them
I see your point there
Sunny and spring flowers bursting out everywhere down here in Aotearoa New Zealand, South Island.
Sounds like a dream to me right now haha
Unfortunately in the movie they make it same as though Neville's parents were killed but they weren't the cruciatus curse was used on them, and it drove them nuts so to speak they lost their memories so they now stay at a magical hospital I don't know how to spell it someone else in the comments please leave it underneath mine it would be most appreciative thank you. In that scene though when we see them at the hospital and they see Neville's parents there with him you see a very touching scene where the mother gives Neville a gum wrapper and he cherishes it as though it's a one-of-a-kind that his mother made just for him he never gives it up, she gives him a new one every time he shows up and every time he keeps it
St. Mungo's is the hospital.

I am happy Snape became you favorite - let's hope it stays that way *evil grin*
The relationship between Snape and the Marauders (all 4 of them) was one of mutual disliking.
Usually the 4 Marauders teamed up to paly tricks on Snape (it mostly took the 4 of them to even get through).
Which explains why Snape does not like Lupin and Sirius as well.
BUT there is much more to that and that will come in later.
Even in the books people always tell Harry how great a guy his dad was -
but we only ever see hhim being mean to Snape.
And yes it is hinted that Snape was really good at Dark Arts even as a first year.
The Snape debate is going on for as long as the books are out -
and since he is my favorite character (the best written one) - I am mostly just sick of people saying Snape is just bad.
I think he is many things but he is not all black
Fred and George Weasleys were in their last season of their last year at Hogwarts ❤
I’ve been wondering why Harry’s scar seemed to be gone 19 years later.
@@melissabrooke1146 Maybe it's the movie's fault: in the book, it is still there
@@CarolinePhoenixMe It's still there, but it hadn't bothered him for 19 years.

42:54
it works basically similar to how animagi works "the ability to turn to an animal at will like Sirius, James Potter, Peter Petigrew and proff McGonagall as a cat!"
So a full Patronus takes the form of an animal too and each person gets one that suits their characteristics and personality the best, just like in prisoner of azkaban do you remember Harry's patronus at the end took the shape of a stag "male deer" just like his dad's animagus form! like Sirius is a dog, Peter is a rat, James used to turn to a stag!
so due to his great connection and love for his dad his patronus took his dad's animagus form
So you don't get to choose what you get with patronuses and animagi
Ron's patronus is a dog like you just saw "the most loyal of animals", Hermione an otter " a very intelligent animal" , Luna a rabbit and Jinny Weasley got a horse! thos are the most memorable ones there.
48:30
well.. that was completely one sided! there's always the other side of the story!

Something that makes Bellatrix a little more twisted, Sirius was her first cousin and she just offed him like it was nothing. Also, Tonks’ mother, Andromeda, is Bellatrix’s sister (making Tonks Bellatrix’s niece) and Sirius’ cousin.
Sheesshhh I had no idea, thank you for this!
Draco Malfoy's mom is also Bellatrix's sister, which makes Draco and Tonks first cousins.
I see! Thank you for watching and thank you for this comment!
@@YoSunnyP I suggest watching "Fantastic Beasts" trilogy... most questions asked in Harry Potter should be answered there.
1. Fantastic Beasts- Where to find them
2. Fantastic Beasts- Crimes of Grindelwald
3. Fantastic Beasts- Sacrets of Dumbledore
Don't know if someone pointed out out already, but it was Umbridge who set the dementors on Harry and his cousin.
Yeah, calling her "evil" was NOT a stretch lol
HI SUNNY! lol did u think i forgot to babble on and on about harry potter? im watching the video again to make sure i get it all! first off i want to mention Cedric Diggory, part of what makes his murder so sad was because he was a Hufflepuff. do you remember i told you the qualities of each of the houses? the primary qualities of Hufflepuff house are loyalty, hard work and fair play. and those are the qualities that also described Cedric, he was just a good guy who stumbled over Voldemort's path and was killed for it. this leads into the next thing, Thestrals. Thestrals are the black, dead looking, flying horse things that harry is suddenly able to see, and Luna says "youre not crazy, i can see them too" the reason for this is a person can only see Thestrals if they have seen death, meaning, witnessing someone die. For harry that was Cedric being murdered, for Luna she saw her mom die while experimenting with magic. many witches and wizards believe thestrals to be bad omens due to their connection to death. The next thing i want to talk about is the room harry and the gang go to practice defensive magic. that room is called The Room of Requirement. The Room of Requirement is a magical room inside Hogwarts that is always lying dormant, invisible in the same location waiting for someone to call on it. the room will always appear to those who need it fully stocked with whatever the seeker needs, whether thats a bathroom, extra cleaning supplies or even somewhere to hide safely in the castle. its only know limitation is that it cannot produce food. so when the gang need a safe place away from Umbridge to practice defensive magic, the room appears and provides them with just that. in the book the room even supplies Hermione with loads and loads of books for her to read, defensive magical objects for harry to use in class and plenty of space to practice. as for the defensive magic itself, ive talked about Patronus's before, i dont mind giving another run down. A Patronus is a projection of the very thing Dementors feed off of, hope, happiness, the desire to survive ect. Each Patronus is in fact unique to the witch or wizard who casts it. for harry his is a Stag, the stag is a symbol of strength. A person with this Patronus is characterized for their inclination to heroism and nobility. Usually, people who produce this Patronus are confident in their capabilities and hold pride in their actions and beliefs. For Hermione her patrons is an Otter, otters are symbolic of life and purification. Otters are also extremely playful and curious. They have no reservations about following their curiosity since they are also fearless. also associated with friendship, otters are often found holding hands while sleeping. Rons Patronus, a Jack Russel Terrier, dogs are renowned for their loyalty and are frequently referred to as ‘a man’s best friend’, representing their unwavering sense of companionship, and fierce loyalty to thier friends. my Patronus, yea did u think i wouldnt mention my own hehe! is a Black Stallion, Horses often represent free-spirited and adventurous personalities. Black stallions, in particular, tend to be extremely passionate and are often dominating personalities. They also can be a bit mysterious. the last thing i will babble about, is the prophecy harry partly heard while at the ministry of magic. here it is in full;
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...
obviously i cant tell you what that means BUT there it is lol. like usual if you have any questions at all i am all ears, and as you can tell i LOVE harry potter lore. i enjoy the comfy vibes your going for and boy trust me youll be needing those vibes in the coming movies. take care sunny and have a FANTASTIC holiday season.
Luna is a national treasure. So genuine and pure hearted. ❤
Avada Kedavra is a killing curse. You can only survive it if you're Harry or if you can dodge it, as no spells can block it.
I love your reactions to these so much🥺
I think it’s funny how Ron proceeds at 10:03 to squeeze by his mother. He wants no part of whomever she’s mad at, he’s just glad it ain’t him. 😂
Yayyy another one! So happy you uploaded. I'll comment more stuff as I watch the video. ❤
Thank you so much, always look forward to you! I hope you enjoy!
hey guys try to support my guy sunny p. so he can keep oing movie reactions thanks!
In Movie version they show Dumbledore very less powerful. Here is the book version in short. Please read it
“But Master - he is here - he is below -”
Voldemort paid no attention. AVADA KEDAVRA!”
Harry had not even opened his mouth to resist. His mind was
blank, his wand pointing uselessly at the floor.
But the headless golden statue of the wizard in the fountain had
sprung alive, leaping from its plinth, and landed on the floor with a
crash between Harry and Voldemort. The spell merely glanced off its
chest as the statue flung out its arms, protecting Harry.
“What - ?” said Voldemort, staring around. And then he
breathed, “Dumbledore!”
Voldemort raised his wand and sent another jet of green light at
Dumbledore, who turned and was gone in a whirling of his cloak;
next second he had reappeared behind Voldemort and waved his
wand toward the remnants of the fountain; the other statues sprang to
life too. The statue of the witch ran at Bellatrix, who screamed and
sent spells streaming uselessly off its chest, before it dived at her, pin-
ning her to the floor. Meanwhile, the goblin and the house-elf scuttled
toward the fireplaces set along the wall, and the one-armed centaur
galloped at Voldemort, who vanished and reappeared beside the pool.
The headless statue thrust Harry backward, away from the fight, as
Dumbledore advanced on Voldemort and the golden centaur can-
tered around them both.
“You do not seek to kill me, Dumbledore?” called Voldemort, his
scarlet eyes narrowed over the top of the shield. “Above such brutality,
are you?”
“We both know that there are other ways of destroying a man,
Tom,” Dumbledore said calmly, continuing to walk toward Volde-
mort as though he had not a fear in the world, as though nothing had
happened to interrupt his stroll up the hall. “Merely taking your life
would not satisfy me, I admit -”
“There is nothing worse than death, Dumbledore!” snarled
Voldemort.
“You are quite wrong,”
“Indeed, your failure to un-
derstand that there are things much worse than death has always been
your greatest weakness -”
Dumbledore never failed down in book version.
It is something how much we hate Dolores more than Voldemort 😂
I didn’t even think about it like that 🤣🤣
Most people say Umbridge is the worst villain in the series, not Voldemort 😂
These reactions are so wholesome❤
One complaint I have about this film is the downplaying of dumbledore. For example the dumble vs voldy fight. In the books dumbledore is dog walking Voldemort he isn’t falling over or looking worried, he is literally countering every spell whilst giving Voldemort a lecture about death. They watered it down too much, I really think the book demonstrated why Voldemort never directly attacked the school, because dumbledore was that guy.
Loving your reactions to HP, but also love your Steelers pillow and hat!
Voldemort cool af
lol
I don’t think that it was appropriate, telling someone who is only up to the 5th movie about something that happens in book 7, even if it was never revealed in the film version. Let’s KEEP SPOILERS TO A MINIMUM please people!
Prisoner of Azkaban has always been my favorite, but a very close second is The Half-Blood Prince, which is the next in the series.
a trick to saying "dementor": how do you say the ending of "doctor"? say it the same way
ahhh easy enough! Thanks!
1:04:34 Azkaban for the illegal things you've done, woman!
Me: "boom, roasted."
The satisfaction 🤣
Most fans including me hate Umbridge more than even Voldemort.
That's truly pathetic.
i also call them demon-tours.... maybe its an american thing? if youre even from america 🤣
Yes Bellatrix is back! I love her she's crazy!🤪😆
A Steelers fan, huh? You in PA? Love the HP reactions, btw ♡
This is absolutely my favourite one ❤ and Sirius is the best ❣️🔝 cheers from 🇮🇹
If you haven't watch The Back to the future trilogy, please do!
Can't wait for your next! Great reaction!
31:44🤣👌🏻
34:45 dont forget they are kissing in front of the picture of her now deceased boyfriend....
I believe that Hogwarts is in Scotland so you could live near there.
Great job on the reactions so far, but more importantly, you have *exquisite* taste in football teams! Go Stillers! You don't sound like a yinzer, though. What's up with that? 😏
Bored and raised southern but my family was not lol!
And thank you so much!
Notice how Ron and Hermione are dressed in stripes this movie.
I did
why are they
@@McStick7 I think it was a wardrobe department choice to reflect how close they are, how unified, even though their relationship appears just platonic.
A Very Good Video 👌🏻👍🏻
Love Luna.

I love your reactions, but you really seems not paying attention to the names and faces of the characters 😅
Lmao ok
Thank you for the nice words
It's interesting. You are very sensitive to people's expressions and movements and less to their words. It gives us a different experience.
