I'm so happy that so many bands from the 90s/early 2000s are coming back. This music soothes my middle-aged heart.
Two of my favorite old bands, Hum & Archers, waiting 20-some years before coming back with new albums was not something I expected, but am immeasurably happy about.
incredibly underrated band.
incredibly
Wow! Telepathic Traffic is one of my all time favorites.
Likewise. I feel like it gets short shrift, maybe? Probably boring for the guys, being relatively simple. Something about AoL at Full Attack, though. I feel much the same about Fabricoh, and I'd imagine they feel similarly (that is, in the opposite direction, for the same reasons). In any case, it's all brilliant, and I will be chasing down the tour at some point soon. Awesome that KEXP featured them, and I hope they do so again, soon.

Thank you.
They sound awesome! The lighting, camera work, and sound are also just the best. You’ve got some very talented people there at KEXP.
I learned of Archers by stumbling across Eric's mid 2000's solo album. Never gave them a second thought until RUclips fed me this masterpiece. Praise be the Algorithm 🙌🙌🙌
Finally some cool indie rock!
great wall of sound!
Great name mate
Made me so happy to hear and see these guys again! I have seen them more than a few times in the 90’s. Unsung heroes like Buffalo Tom.
Love that they went for deep cuts alongside the new music. Telepathic Traffic?? Amazing pick.
So happy to have you guys back again.
Love this band so much. I wore out those first 2 albums so quick. The new one is 100% fire
Saw them more than once in the early to mid 90's and always such a pleasure. White Trash Heroes and Icky Mettle are so good.
My first rock show at Duke Coffeehouse in 1993!
Hahaaa i like these guys. "Last time we made the last record on tape". We are lucky to have them back
I somehow missed this band in my teens in the 90's, finding out about them in the 2010's made me felt cheated on what would become one of my favorite bands ever. To have them back making music together is so exciting, I don't have the nostalgia of being a fan in the 90's but feel so lucky to be able to experience them creating new music.
I disregarded them as pretty standard early indie rock for way too long. Their songwriting is subtly amazing, like crafting a bunch of seemingly messy, dischordant noise into a mosaic of catchy as hell, pop-oriented noise rock.
I’ve seen them live in the early to mid 90s with a surprisingly small turnout. The great part is that the folks who did turn out were every bit as big of fans as we were. The show was fantastic. I still listen to their albums some 30 year later. I think it was David Bowie who said the Pixies were a band that started 1000 bands. I bet The archers of loaf are another band that does the same. Thanks guys!
I had a similar experience seeing Hop Along in 2018. Got into Archers this past Autumn, guess I have a reason to check out the new album now
It's so nice to see that guys are still in shape 🤘😎
This band is a personification of the 1990s for me, in a good way.
Especially Web in Front. its the sound of my 90s
Great. I ♥️ KEXP when it rocks!
Several years ago, when I discovered the KEXP channel on youtube, it was love at first listen. I heard about this radio, as it is linked to Seattle grunge, but as an Italian I had no way of being able to listen to it on the radio.

Love all your music
Nostalgia! For real. You’ve been on my playlist for 30 years
go loaf!
Eric and Eric, tell us about your guitar tunings please.
Same. I don’t think it’s your standard E, D or G open tuning
@@calebrouth7849 This is not open tuning at all. What I found out is Bachmann's tuning is eEADGB, from 6 to 1.
We need this!
What are you talking about lmao people really just post shit
Hoping these guys make it up to New England! Gotta see ‘em live!!
Go Loaf!
Come back to Toronto‼️😎🎸🥁🎹
KEXP always delivere 💛
Met EB in San Francisco years ago and we sat backstage and talked like old buddies. I'm a huge fan and he was such a nice guy and easy to talk to. Glad to have them back.
Much love!
Awesome performance, best band ever!😄😄
Excellent performance! Still a passion and sense of urgency in the playing after all these years. Kudos, Blasters of Bread!
I agree. great band!

Absolutely awesome 🤘
Still can’t believe these guys got back together. Was going to see them in upstate New York early 2020 but the shutdown happens and the border from my state into NY was closed and concert cancelled.
You know when you read an NPR article like, "scientists discover rare bird thought to be extinct" that's how I feel about Archers of Loaf. As a teen in the 90's, I had a VHS recording of 120 Minutes that my ex brother-in-law made for me and it had a video for "Harnessed in Slums" and I would watch it over and over again. That was back when music cost money. Also Archer's track "South Carolina" was on the My So Called Life soundtrack -this time on cassette tape. I was looking up tickets for another show a few weeks ago when I saw that Archers were going to be at Neumos and I KNEW I had to go. Too bad a certain radio station last year was too busy patting itself on the back for not going away for fifty years to mention that the Loafsters had a new record out or touring. ( just teasing!) It was a great show and there was a gentleman in line for tickets that mentioned that he had flown across the country to see them play and had waited twenty years to see this show. It was a fantastic set and it was amazing how I still remembered what I thought the lyrics were to "Harnessed" and sang along with great joy and excitement! My best wishes to the folks in the band, in hopes that they mantain the enthusiasm and resources to show these whippersnappers how it is done.
HELL YEAH!!!!
These guys still rock.
Very cool 🙏🏼 had me dancing and I’m a gimp 🤠
Por fin!!! Grandes AOL
😍
The latest album is fantastic, better than anything they'd done before. A lot of the credit for that goes to Eric Bachman's more melodic approach to songwriting that he's been using since his solo stuff. And of course, his voice has mellowed nicely. That's not to take away from the rest of the band; they sound pretty great, too.
Revenge is my 2nd favorite Loaf song. So glad they played it. Now if only they'd played Let The Loser Melt.
♥♥♥
Люблю вас!
Man I love the Tarheel state!!
Was really hoping for some dead red eyes!! But I’ll settle for telepathic traffic!! Great band!! 🎉
Can't believe I missed this one.

Everything dies. That's a fact. Maybe everything that dies, some day comes back. And when they do, they should bring it like these guys did. 25 years since their last record and they may as well have stepped out of a time machine or been thawed from a block of ice in a Siberian cave. Whatever they were doing for 25 years (did they murder somebody, 25 to life and the parole board had a fan on it and as soon as they came up they were free?) it all sounds as fresh and vital as their albums in their 90's hey day, no matter what life may have been like in the interim. Did they join a gang? Was there a prison band that only played gospel and they had to pretend the songs were hymns? I digress. This is not stale or outdated either and it's not trying hard to be some other band they never were when they made their name for themselves. It sounds like them, it's on that same continuity. Same road, just further along on it. And moving at the same brisk, energetic pace as ever. If only every band ressurection went this well. :)
U2?
oh man I wish I had never clicked on this and I'll try to blank it. I love archers but this is idk
Boo I hate it I'm sorry just my truth
