I have 2 dachshunds a female & male about 8-10 months apart they grew up together, now they are senior dogs....this video is right 2 dachshunds are double the fun.
I have had dachshunds for 35 years now, and I can say this, they love to be together with other dachshunds. I often find that dachshund people have more than one, I have 3 at the moment. If you have more than one the likelihood of separation anxiety is almost zero. Happy, social, healthy and playful dachshund’s….
Dachshunds are the best dogs in the world. We even used to have three dachshunds and that was wonderful. But for the last 5 years we've only had one, after they left us one by one. My short-haired girl is now 6 years old, and maybe I'll get another dachshund. But it has become very expensive.
Yes, I had two back 4 years ago and one passed. My other one is now nearly 16 and still gets around great. It can be expensive with two of them. How is your 6 year old doing without the other one?
My Uncle had one named, Kizzy. What a great little girl she was. She wouldn't fetch sticks but rocks. You could throw it rock and if it landed in a pile, she would bring back the rock that you threw. She was different like that. R.I. P. Kizzy and may you have lots of rocks over the Rainbow Bridge.
Had a male and bitch dachshund for the best part of 16 years until I lost the male. The bitch lost her comfort blanket and went totally withdrawn and I really thought she wasn’t long for this world. Had the opportunity to get another male pup but was unsure if introducing such a young dog to an elderly lady was such a good idea. My vet said that it would either finish her or give her a new lease of life. Thankfully it was the latter and she went on for a further 2 years, she was a totally different dog, played with him and put him in his place when she had to. Currently still have the male dachshund who shares the house with a female Pembroke corgi.
YES,THEY ARE BETTER IN PAIRS BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT FEEL LONELY AND KEEP COMPANY, ANY DOG FEEL THAT WAY, EVEN HAVING A DOG AND A CAT GROWING TOGETHER KEEP THEM HAPPY,I ALWAYS HAVE TWO 🐕🐈🐕🐕🐈⬛,ALL CRIATURES NEED COMPANY...
We got two dachshunds 2 1/2 months apart. Then when the youngest was almost 7 months we got another baby doxy. They are the greatest and have added so much to our lives. By the way three is our limit, lol.
I got 2 from same litter. Boy and girl dapples. They were only 2 months old when I got them. The boy is deaf and have goofy eyes. He always follow the girl like an older sister. The girl is the smart one and the one who picks up my commands easily.
I had 2, 1 male & 1 female. The male passed away when he was only 3 months. My female dog is nearly 2 years old. She loves being with us and doesnt like to be left at home alone
had 5 over the years..3 at once but had to keep the boy separated during the day from his sisters. always afraid we would come home from work to only 2..and a mouth full of fur In our oldest at time . maggie would be there with " what boy dog?" look on her face..lol

I've always had dachshunds in pairs. They love having each other.😊
When one wasn't bossing me around, the other one was. But the snuggles made it more than worthwhile. 😇🤗😁
yes, stubborn and independent, but so lovable
