Is it just me or is knight enchanter the most versatile mage spec regardless of difficulty as long as you have the right passives nearly all of the spells in the game can be spammed to keep shields
Here’s what I do every play through so I can get a lot of ability points as fast as I can. Step 1: get the Deft Hands, Fine tools perk at the war table. You need 4 points in secrets in order to get it. Step 2: Liberate crestwood by closing the rift in the lake (take over the nearby fort, open the dam and get to it) Step 3: Go back to the village, and there should be a locked house. In there you should find an amulet of power and I believe malikas guard. Step 4: Go to the workshop or whatever you call it, where you can find your storage box. Put the Amulet of power into the storage box and then when it is selected, press circle and cross at the same time, B and A if you’re on Xbox or whatever select and exit it is on pc. Congratulations! You just duped and item. Step 5: Repeat until you have as much as you need or until you hit your inventory limit. This glitch also works for weapons, armour and accessories. Have fun!
@@damedusa5107 first time playing? Yes. But when you’re on your 32nd play through and you already know what there is to know and you just wanna have fun with flashy animations killing random enemies solo, it’s just so much better. No needing to wait until the end game or anything. Just pure chaos.
A separate 'glitch' that can feel a bit less like cheating is the infinite chest loot bug. If a loot box or chest has multiple items, pick out what item(s) you want, but leave at least one item. Leave the current map, return, and the chest will be full again. Rinse and repeat for the Amulet of Power for the Inquisitor, and you can literally max out all skills. Also handy with the pure essence drops in the Lost Mine tomb. And by picking up multiple copies of the Superb Belts, sell them and purchase the mysterious "unknown item" in Val Royoux to get the Golden Nug (and always have all schematics in future runs)
Best thing is that you can pretty much just find a amulet of power (for those who play on console) and then you can jsut duplicate it over and over and then you could be OP at even a low level, dunno about Xbox users but it still works for us on PS4
Brennen Myers Place the item into your storage at Skyhold and scroll to it, then press withdraw and exit at the same time. ( X and O I believe ) If done properly you’ll have the item in both your inventory and storage. It takes some timing and getting used to. I don’t recommend unless you’re playing purely for story.
Not a bad build, but you missed out on the all important barrier building. You can clock over 12K barrier and with enough attack and crit damage bonus with ring of doubt you can hit for over 50K crit* with fire mine. Not even close to a rogue though with Mark of death or a reaver warrior which I've managed to hit over 100k with both in a single hit. Reavers can infinitely build damage so long as there are enough creatures and for the rogue it was double damage potion with mark of death that netted me a 100k hit. I could only get the 100K hit on the reaver in one section which is the DLC the descent as the creatures non stop come.

Yeah it's something I need to look at as I normally focus on late game builds. I have a low level mage build to follow but you're mid game now. I suggest rushing down the fade shield in the KE tree and get fade cloak with decloaking blast - don't upgrade spirit blade. Then just go for things like barrier, fade step, and then follow any build. I hope that helps.
Absolutely. It's like it was made for Knight Enchanter. That energy barrage spell releases 24 volleys instead of 12 so you fill up your barrier immediately. With blade of tidarion energy barrage is the starter. Then you do fade step or frost step to cut distance with enemies, fade cloak, static cage, fire mine and your combo's ready to smash spirit blade down on them. Then blade of tidarion and repeat with energy barrage.

XenoGenesis the reason I have more is cause of the spirit rune I talked about. Adding that rune dumps up the damage. Also as it has an on hit already I master worked the staff for more stats. The dragon tooth gives like a 40% chance to upgrade the stats. hope that helps.

Would you please tell me all of your accessories meaning belts rings and amulets again. Just one question would a belt of health work with this build as well
The neck is used mainly as KE wont die more so with the guard. Then the regen/CD is massive compared to most other necks. The belt and ring of crit are done so to bump up crit chance as crits do more damage, more damage gives more barrier, therefore, crit -> barrier. And the ring of doubt passive is probably the best ever thing for mages. You can use it so that mobs will group into one spot for large aoe or use it + fade step to get out of any situation. The belt of health could be used instead with positive effects for sure but I highly doubt from experience there is anything better than the ring of doubt. I would suggest if you want to replace the belt and ring then go for these instead; Belt of health and then 2 rings of attack. But I want to state as always my builds are here to be followed or used as inspiration so you can by all means take what ever you want but i hope my suggestions help you :D
I have a reaver question, how to manage health? Also about crit, i dont thinknits possible to get both chance and dam bonus to gear and if both would be low, but is chance itself enough? Well for ke it was quite usefull For gear i was thinking guard on hit 5, and str and resistances cause armor mostly has resistance option and stat option, i am also considaring whirlwind, well to get the passive i half to take it anyway but it mite be good for building guard
Reaver you manage health with devour. I always taking charging bull to make your next attack free and then always use the combo of Charging bull, Devour this way you can regain a lot of hp. You just need some armour that give guard on hit or barrier on hit.
NathonJDR No sorry, I just show them in any order. But to help as soon as you get the spec get fade cloak with decloacking blast and then the passive on the left that gives shield from barrier. Then pick up barrier and then after that go for anything you want and you should be good. Also get the ring of doubt asap it's amazing on mages :) hope that all helps.
I picked the skills in the following order: 1. Barrier 2. Spirit Blade 3. Combat Clarity 4. Fade Shield 6. Fade Cloak 7. Decloaking Blast 8. Energy Barrage 9. Fade Step 10. Immolate 11. Flashpoint Mind you that I’m new to the game and hence only level 11 but after several respecs I’ve found this order to be most effective. After learning flaming array I suppose it’s really up to personal preference. I’m also thinking about going into ice mine instead of blizzard.
On every character I make builds on from a low level I maxed out the number of points they could have so I can make any build and do testing. I always try to use a reasonable number of points for max level builds :D
KE got nerfed at some point in the game's life cycle. The survivability is nuts, still, but overall not worth it for DPS. Rogue takes the cake for damage.
Right new playing qunarri firemage, planning on pyromancer build, fire necromancer, immolate searing glyph i think arry isnt good for long range mage builf and lasting flame
Mohammed Alqaffas Both the staff and armour is from trespasser dlc then using golden nuggets to get them in the main game and the helm is called the skirmishers hat. If you Google it's schematic location you should find it pretty fast. The staff upgrades are just tier 3 ones, don't know where to get them but again Google is your friend. I might make a video soon of a great site to help people find schematics and gear.
U know in dao and dai blizard makes my frame rate droop, its not 2bad, but ebough that it makes me want to use it less, i just remembered why i din't like it when solas activated it, i need to reset hes sills
I know I'm a noob and 6 years late and I pray you're doing well but over powered? I took my rank 11 Knight Enchanter to frost back basin and got my clock cleaned, I got wasted in seconds so I guess I either suck really bad or was way under level 🤷🏻♂️
I assume under leveled and more importantly under geared. Your gear in DA makes a massive difference on top of just having gear and better skills :) Also I hope you enjoy DA whilst I have left YT for work so many still come so welcome and I hope you enjoy the videos! :D
I would say in the KE TREE take: Spirit Blade, fade cloak with decloaking blast then combat clarity and combat focus. WINTER TREE: fade step with energyizing step. INFERNO TREE: immolate, flashpoint, cleanburn, pyromancer, fire mine with flaming array. LIGHTNING: energy barrage. Spirit: Barrier. Hope that helps.
@@manuelborin6982 Late to the video but you can just use an extremely easy duplication glitch to get repeated amulets of power. You probably may already know this at this point or you've moved on. Let me know otherwise.
@@manuelborin6982 Essentially you just use the storage box in Skyhold. Can dupe anything in terms of your armor/weapons/accessories. Find an amulet of power - I usually just goto Creswood as soon as I can and grab the one from there. To dupe is as simple as this: - Put what you want duped in the chest and exit out the chest menu Go back into the storage menu and press *TOGETHER* A and B for xbox (or whatever the corresponding input is for PlayStation or PC). Thats it, do note it can take a couple of attempts to get a feel for it and eventually you'll be fine. If you happen to do it incorrectly and you take it out of storage just pop it back in and repeat the process. You'll know when its worked when you see the item in your inventory as well as your storage. To this day its been confirmed to still work on all platforms (pretty sure pc too? Dont want to give false info). It works on xbox one and xbox series s 100% as I've done it myself.

I discovered interesting ke build, spirit blade, immolate, fire arry, energy barrage, fade step, fade cloack and barrier, and just in case mark of the rift, i just go in midfle of the mobs and put arry down ant start spamming blade untill its ready to use again, ofc i use barrage to in the middle, to get 2 passives rarlier i used a glitch to get 2extra ammulet of bower, but it wont matter if i dont taje 1point with perk, if i dobt waste oerk point on it, i feel likr i dont need this complexitys like use of blizard ant static/lifhtning cage, just explaining what o discovered, this could give u new ideas to
I'm wondering the order to get skills in with this build
I can't seem to find the armor that matches, can you post the schematics you used?
The Skin That Stalks for body. Superior Skirmisher Hat for head, Encore Staff for weapon.
Why my skill tree doesn’t have two upgrades it’s just one:(
Would you please tell me all of your accessories meaning belts rings and amulets again.
Just one question would a belt of health work with this build as well
Im not likeing the ring of doubt that much if at all is their any other ring that could be used
The neck is used mainly as KE wont die more so with the guard.
I can't wait till I hit level 28.
i hate it that we only get 8 slots for abilities cause they had to damn down the gameplay down for consoles
how do i get that gear in the video ?
I was wondering why would you rather go for magic instead of willpower?
Nevermind, got it. You're going for absolutely damage! Niiice!!
What is it you dislike about KE?
I've been waiting 4 this one!!! ThanX
I have a reaver question, how to manage health? Also about crit, i dont thinknits possible to get both chance and dam bonus to gear and if both would be low, but is chance itself enough? Well for ke it was quite usefull
For gear i was thinking guard on hit 5, and str and resistances cause armor mostly has resistance option and stat option, i am also considaring whirlwind, well to get the passive i half to take it anyway but it mite be good for building guard
Reaver you manage health with devour. I always taking charging bull to make your next attack free and then always use the combo of Charging bull, Devour this way you can regain a lot of hp. You just need some armour that give guard on hit or barrier on hit.
@@StarFlorgei switched to no hp ver, and crit build, right new on pause from game
Did You spend the ability points in the order that You showed them?
NathonJDR No sorry, I just show them in any order. But to help as soon as you get the spec get fade cloak with decloacking blast and then the passive on the left that gives shield from barrier. Then pick up barrier and then after that go for anything you want and you should be good. Also get the ring of doubt asap it's amazing on mages :) hope that all helps.
I picked the skills in the following order:
1. Barrier
2. Spirit Blade
3. Combat Clarity
4. Fade Shield
6. Fade Cloak
7. Decloaking Blast
8. Energy Barrage
9. Fade Step
10. Immolate
11. Flashpoint
Mind you that I’m new to the game and hence only level 11 but after several respecs I’ve found this order to be most effective. After learning flaming array I suppose it’s really up to personal preference. I’m also thinking about going into ice mine instead of blizzard.
how does he have 71 points to spend and he is only level 24?
On every character I make builds on from a low level I maxed out the number of points they could have so I can make any build and do testing. I always try to use a reasonable number of points for max level builds :D
Power amulet glitch probably
I thought the lvl Cap was 20 in this game, dlc raise the lvl Cap?
May I know where to obtain the Superb Ring of Critical Chance? Tried googling but can hardly find any info. :(
It's a random drop in the Decent DLC from chest, that's where records have been said to find it. How ever any ring of crit will help out :D
How is this class as of 2020? Just got the game on sale for $5 lol
meh, it's unkillable with the right gear, but that's about it, damage is ok
personally regret going for ke
KE got nerfed at some point in the game's life cycle. The survivability is nuts, still, but overall not worth it for DPS. Rogue takes the cake for damage.
I know this is an old video but how did you get the tresspasser items while in the main game
The trial mechanic allows you to get items from the DLC - Or on PC you can mod them in.
@@StarFlorge I see thanks
Right new playing qunarri firemage, planning on pyromancer build, fire necromancer, immolate searing glyph i think arry isnt good for long range mage builf and lasting flame
How do you get the amulet?
Just curious will the race matter for this build ? I.e Qunari KE inquisitor ?
Want to solo run the game on Nightmare mode + Trials 😬
Not one comment about the 71 Ability Points AFTER getting almost every ability in the game? How in the actual FAK?
Not sure if u found out but there is a glitch that lets u get infinite points
where can I get the staff and armor and, the add-ons to the staff
Mohammed Alqaffas Both the staff and armour is from trespasser dlc then using golden nuggets to get them in the main game and the helm is called the skirmishers hat. If you Google it's schematic location you should find it pretty fast. The staff upgrades are just tier 3 ones, don't know where to get them but again Google is your friend. I might make a video soon of a great site to help people find schematics and gear.
StarFlorge ok, Thank you
What schematics are did you use
what agreat build. sound pretty amazin g. looking forworth to he combat one. glad i havent made it to skyhold yet and chooose a special yet.
Tobias Andersen It's always a hard choice at skyhold xD
StarFlorge haha thats true xD
with KE i am melee more i use spirit blade a lot
Does anyone know what staff upgrades they used?
Honestly i cannot make this work. I have another, different method for making myself almost unkillable. I am probably doing something wrong.
U know in dao and dai blizard makes my frame rate droop, its not 2bad, but ebough that it makes me want to use it less, i just remembered why i din't like it when solas activated it, i need to reset hes sills
What armor is that?
Does anyone know how these skills are set up on console?
Names of armor schematics?
Uuuuummm?
71 skill points, whaaaaaat?
I gave my self skill points in order to test the game in every way I could to help me make builds and understand how things work :D
Which DLC adds the extra abilities???
Trespasser
Having two KEs in your team is insane aha
I know I'm a noob and 6 years late and I pray you're doing well but over powered? I took my rank 11 Knight Enchanter to frost back basin and got my clock cleaned, I got wasted in seconds so I guess I either suck really bad or was way under level 🤷🏻♂️
I assume under leveled and more importantly under geared. Your gear in DA makes a massive difference on top of just having gear and better skills :)
Also I hope you enjoy DA whilst I have left YT for work so many still come so welcome and I hope you enjoy the videos! :D
@@StarFlorge you're right, way under geared lol. Thanks a real lot for all the work you put into all these videos, you've been a tremendous help!
Is there anywhere I can find vanilla builds?
Tactical Toastr wdym vanilla? There isn’t any mods
@@DanzaleB Vanilla being no dlc materials or items
what with the 71 skill points dude, i cant even reach 30.....
I use mods so that I could make any build i want on all classes. I always use as many points that anyone can get so it's not stupidly over the top :D
cheating is what it is called.
Which is stronger? KE or Reaver?
this build works on patch 11 or got nerfed ?
I believe this was done after the nerfs, so is powerful as it looks :D
@@StarFlorge yeah i just almost soloed dragon with my shitty gear, how do i get that gear in the video ?
Starflorge what’s schismatic?
can't remember 100% but i assume the staff is Masterwork Archon Staff, the armour is The Skin That Stalks and the helm is Skirmisher Hat Schematic
StarFlorge thanks
Are they from dlc or regular game
I feel like I just got my youtube achievement being the first to like the video ashashashsah
Can't wait for the combat video btw :>
Gratz!!
Ahhaha pergz~
I always love looking at these comments years later. Seeing how stupid people are makes me feel so good for humanity.
i need to find those equipments lol
How Do I start building this build by lvl 12?
15 points
I would say in the KE TREE take: Spirit Blade, fade cloak with decloaking blast then combat clarity and combat focus. WINTER TREE: fade step with energyizing step. INFERNO TREE: immolate, flashpoint, cleanburn, pyromancer, fire mine with flaming array. LIGHTNING: energy barrage. Spirit: Barrier.
Hope that helps.
What's music is the intro
High
Man this build is not for lvl 24, i'm lvl 21 but i still miss 6 (SIX) points to complete it.
Does this class setup still work after the nerf they did to KE?
@@xanderscales0 can't say that, i cant complete this spec, but for now, without the ICE tree, is not bad.
@@manuelborin6982 Late to the video but you can just use an extremely easy duplication glitch to get repeated amulets of power. You probably may already know this at this point or you've moved on. Let me know otherwise.
@@Connor.97 no i dont 😅, tell me tnx
@@manuelborin6982 Essentially you just use the storage box in Skyhold. Can dupe anything in terms of your armor/weapons/accessories. Find an amulet of power - I usually just goto Creswood as soon as I can and grab the one from there.
To dupe is as simple as this:
- Put what you want duped in the chest and exit out the chest menu
Go back into the storage menu and press *TOGETHER* A and B for xbox (or whatever the corresponding input is for PlayStation or PC).
Lv 24 with 71 skill points to use and all tree already set? Is this possible?o.o I'm lv 14 and struggle with skill tree XD how ppl gain more skill points apart from 1 gained from level up?
Well I gave myself point through Mods so I can experiment and create builds for you all :D There are a few amulets of power you can find in the game for extra points legit though.
@@StarFlorge Ahhh ok XD was wondering if I was doing something wrong ...
How do you have 71 points to spend?
Spear Breaker explained in a comment below, but it's for builds and interactions.
he cheated. there is a storage chest dub exploit.. just exploit the amulets and rings that gives points.
Can i use this without dlc??
A version of it is, but this exact build isn't.
StarFlorge this or your destruction build for non dlc
I would say this build. The destruction build focuses heavily on things like the spirit blade new upgrade where as with this build it wont matter if you don't take it. So this build should be better for non dlc.
StarFlorge thanks last question does ke is better than rm in term of dps
Rift mage late game has more damage and dps than KE especially against general mobs. Only thing is that against bosses if you're solo KE can survive easily.
which breed is best
