This was me: Who's Montech? Never heard of them. Oh King 95, thats pretty nice I'll put it on the consider list. Oh an aio cooler, I'm not sure if I trust...oh 6 year warranty. Power supplies, oh no I'm definitely going to be going with a seasonic this.. "... made by Seasonic" 😐🤔 Ok, ok Montech I see you now.
Looks pretty good, especially for the prices! I NEED invertability for my next case though (left side of desk is the only place it makes sense), so it's probably gonna be another Lian Li.
Man, Montech just screamed on to the scene lately, outstanding case for the money spent! Using the King 95 pro (Prussia Blue) outstanding value and super easy build. Excited to see what they bring to the table in the future.
I built in a montech case for friend. glass one side, mesh front, and a few bells and whistles. I jammed a ton of stuff in there for a mid size atx case with atx sized parts. Everything was great, and while the metal was not the thickest it was machined well. It came with a fan power and light but no control. Came with 4 fan 120 fans at a price of $100. Excellent, and again not the best parts or metal, but at this price it was perfect.
I built in a Montech case for my daughter. I was a little underwhelmed. Almost all the screws were so bad that even putting a screwdriver into the head tore them up. Just installing fans in the top bent the metal of the case. Just barely touch the top and it indents then pops out.... This was one of their $60 cases. A couple of the standoff holes were also stripped out.
@@Thrashifice Same, I now have a permanent stand off screwed in because it was stripped out. But ... considering I build a new computer every 4 years. And if it comes down to a couple of bad screws vs $40-60 dollars that could go towards gaming build... I will take the latter. Learning how to over come obstacles is part of pc building as well.
Built 2 systems in Montech cases so far this year. Am happy with the quality, in one just fans. The second one has hinge door with glass, 3 fans, and my niece is happy with the Poodle themed PC I put together for her.
i hated the way alex dismounting previous cases but instead of putting them back to one peace, he moves to the next case, i'm concerned about the glass shattering, why alex, why
Someone will make one do just that LOL but i mean seriously busted side panels are common enough that most case manus have them so you can order replacements for that reason lol
This is like that weird period in the 2010s where every phone manufacturer thought we wanted phones with leather or wood backs instead of glass metal or plastic
I'm pretty sure I'd still rather have a phone with a wooden back rather than glass. I almost believe that phones have glass on the back only because they end up breaking, so you need to replace them more often. Also, PC cases are more like appliances than a gadget, so they don't need to be as functional. It's not that comparable.
@@leonro They use glass on phones because it's more transparent to EM radiation than metal, so you get better service with smaller antennas, but not as cheap feeling as plastic. And drawing a line between two types of consumer electronics is weird. You can totally compare them. @@DeinonychusCowboy you're carrying your phone around, you have to hold it with 1 hand, its constantly coming in and out of your pockets, its an insanely competitive market too so any deviation from the slab of glass is a huge risk for the manufacturer. meanwhile with cases you can make whatever you want, someone will probably buy it
It isn't THAT new of a thing - my In Win 303 has been around for quite a while now(I believe it's been on the market for nearly a decade at this point) What's frustrating is how many YEARS I've waited for fans with reversed blades, so they didn't look like garbage as bottom intakes with the rear of the fans showing. It's about damn time, and I have no idea why the hell it took this long.
@@RyTrapp0 Fair enough, I don't know about every case out there =) Yeah that's a very good point. I didn't even think about that one because of my own setup.

I'm still happy with my case from 2012 😅 turns out 140mm fan fits Perfectly into a 3x5.25" drive bay area 😁 I just designed a fan grill and BOOM 3x140mm front fans to match a "modern" PC air flow. Still.. 2x160mm fans are better 🥲more air and quieter
6:50 - it is really a bad sight to see LTT spew this elitist "no hdds in 2024" bullcrap. There are many, many valid reasons to have an HDD in 2024, even multiple ones: 1) Aside from the boot drive, most people are fine with HDD speeds. Only the biggest games with the biggest worlds benefit from the load times of being installed on an SSD. 2) HDDs still cost far less per GB than an SSD and this is unlikely to change in the near future 3) Migrating an HDD from an old desktop or even laptop is a nice way to get extra storage for meme dumps, ISOs, images, videos etc. 4) Unless you have an extremely small case or are doing file transfers for a living, you are fine with having an HDD. 5) SSDs are less durable than HDDs, despite what pseudonerds want to tell you on the internet. SSDs have a limited number of reads and writes far smaller than HDDs. SSDs fail suddenly, unexpectedly and can often be irrecoverable. HDDs usually fail gracefully and data can be recovered. They are in every way a superior storage medium for data that is not needed often and that doesn't need to load within seconds.
6:49, of course I have hard drives, I have two 3TB WDs and one 18TB Seagate, why? I need the space and the backup, also, I am not made of money to afford that capacity in SSDs (I have one 2tb and one 1tb NVME of those)
Can we give a shout out to PC cases apparently being the only products in existence that are immune to inflation and disturbances in the global market? We're really seeing some VERY nice, feature rich new cases with some VERY nice price tags this year!
